10 Years In Marketing

It's the start of a new year so there's no better time to reflect on what went well and what didn't in the previous year. Write it all down on paper and see where you can improve, what can you do more of that went really well and what might you stop doing.

Last episode I talked about the importance growing an audience before you start selling anything online. In this episode I'm going to share with you 7 ways you can grow your audience right now.

1. Utilise multiple channels
2. Knowing your niche
3. Survey existing customers or site visitors
4. Social groups (not just the usual ones)
5. Guest posting on related blogs
6. Being consistent
7. Be findable (If thats a word)

Why should you try something new? Heck, you might even find a new audience or find something you actually love! As humans we all get so comfortable in out little bubbles where life runs smooth and not much happens. We then also question why we don't have luck or succeed like other people do. We find it's easier t make that excuse rather than get our and try something new. We are creature of habits and you must sometimes break those habits or even worse do something that your afraid of, like record a YouTube video and publish it.

I encourage you to try something new. You just never now where it might lead to.

If you have an audience you can sell anything to them (nearly). In this episode we look at the importance of building an audience for you brand or business. Whatever it is you are trying to sell you need to find people interested in your products or interested in you! Making a website, adding products and hoping to sell stuff is naive however some people still thing this is possible and doable with good marketing. 

You need to:

• Choose a platform
• Publish consistently (VERY Important!)
• Educate your audience
• Teach them some more
• Then... sell something
