Welcome back to the Leading Rein! This week, 3Rein’s Ali Cornish is excited to discuss all things Harry Chapman alongside Harry’s granddaughter and daughter, Jessica & Jojo Petro.
From western to saddleseat, from show jumpers to roadsters, Harry was an avid horseman with an extensive history throughout the industry and the inspiration for 3Rein’s Harry Chapman Scholarship. Even though Harry was an accomplished competitor, he is most notably remembered for being a phenomenal owner.
Harry owned many incredible horses including Flexible, McGuinness, Reno, Zlano, Amos. Flexible, ridden by Rich Fellers, won the FEI World Cup Finals in 2012 and later that year went on to represent the USA in the Olympic Games held in London. Flexible was also the recipient of International Horse of the Year in 2013.
