The 4th Grade Innovators Podcast

This is our final episode of season 5 recorded on our second to last day of school. This year's 4th grade innovators pass along their best advice for anyone going to 4th grade next year. We hope all of our listeners have a great summer!

In this episode the 4th Grade Innovators share some strategies to calm down and relax when feeling upset. Let's face it, we all have times when we get upset so this will help during those times.

Our class has a Word of the Day every day to help improve our writing and vocabulary. In this episode we share some of our favorite words to help you improve your writing. This is an episode you can listen to more than once when you need help improving your writing!

For the past seven weeks we have been studying the 7 habits of happy kids book written by Sean Covey. Now that we are experts on this topic we wanted to share our learning with the world!

In this episode we give 21 ways that you and your family can give back during the  holiday time. We hope you will be inspired to give back and help others because one act of kindness creates an endless ripple that goes forever.

We are back for season 5 with a new group of 4th graders! Today we tackled our favorite topic, The Growth Mindset!

For the past few weeks, we have been working on a social studies project which started at looking at Michigan's past and how Henry Ford's Assembly Line has a dramatic change in the world of manufacturing. We have also looked at the present and future to determine what skills and knowledge kids today will need to be successful in the future! As a class, we took a virtual field trip to an Amazon warehouse to see how much factories have changed from the past.

Recently, our class read the book The Positive Dog by Jon Gordon. We were so inspired by all the ideas we learned in this book about feeding the positive dog and starving the negative dogs inside of us. You might be thinking, "What dogs inside of us??" well tune in to learn more and change your life for the positive!

The 4th Grade Innovators are back with another inspiring episode about the Power of Gratitude. Coming off of Thanksgiving, it's a popular time to be thankful and grateful but we're here to teach you that gratitude is a superpower you should use every day of the year!

Right now in Michigan, there is a debate on the popular Pure Michigan Campaign and whether it should be funded or not. 4th Graders have been doing research on the topic and in this episode they make their voices heard.

It's the last week of school in Michigan! We wanted to create another podcast episode to teach and encourage everyone to have a positive summer vacation! Have a great summer everyone! Thank you to everyone for supporting our Podcast this year. Stay tuned for more next year!
