So, mathematical sociology teaches us that in interpersonal relationships, there are strong ties, weak ties and absent ties. I find the weak ties theory really interesting though and I share with us what I think about it. Today, I talk to us about people who we meet on our way to fulfilling purpose, people who may not stay in our lives but who genuinely just existed in it at the said time to help us. And we could also be part of another person's circle of weak ties... Understanding this makes life a little less complex, listen as I share.

The importance of writing down our visions is so we waste no time. Today though, we go steps further. So we don't stop at writing, we get physical pictures of all the stuff we want to achieve and we make VISION BOARDS... We run when our minds see pictures, but we fly when our eyes see pictures.

Moving Forward may mean continuing or Actually moving on. Its continuing when the timeline for our set goals is not up. It is moving on when there is nothing we can do about our failures.

Self Evaluation requires a retreat, it requires paying attention circumspectly to our lives, our goals and their timelines. To make an informed Evaluation, we must withdraw and be pensive. We must also write down our goals, milestones, successes, failures and short comings. Listen in

Today I talk about waiting for prefect conditions before we start to pursue our vision. I don't think there's ever a time when we'd not have fears about the stuff we want to start. I tell all my listeners that perfect conditions delay all of us. We must rise and not just want to rise. But to rise we must start and hope to grow.

So for this episode I sit with two of my favorite people to discuss stuff that affect the undergraduate Nigerian. Patrick shares his opinion on the recent SexforGrades trend and we try to discuss solutions. To him, this is something that can cause him to loose his sleep at night. Patrick gives some really good and workable solutions. It is his opinion that in a lecturer-student relationship there is unequal power and so the rebuttable presumption of sexual assault should be in favour of the student, but this is rarely the case as lecturers got each others backs. Lota on the other hand talk about how it is painful that the Nigerian Educational System is stifling. He gives vivid examples of how students have been denied Visas even while trying to represent the Nation outside of Nigeria. He talks about the budget for education and how it does not meet standard requirement. To him when a fish starts to get bad, it starts from it's head and the Nigerian Government and Management Boards of Universities contribute in stifling the efforts of students. For this first episode of my FOR NIGERIA series, I have a discussion with two amazing young women. Arop Margaret ( My Maggie): Co-Founder The Greener Picture. This young Nigerian Lady is taking great strides alongside some other people to inform communities about the need for a clean environment. Again, when I hear her talk, I get amazed at how much people can do even with so little. One of her favourite lines about the environment is that we have a right to clean air. The Greener Picture has planted over 150 trees to ensure the air we breathe is fresher. I told her that when I looked at the United Nations SDGs, I see the stuff she's doing... she has been fulfilling some SDGs and not even meaning to. I am so glad I could catch her to have this chat with her. Tchinyereh (as I like to call her) is so pro women. She believes she can change people's Idiosyncrasies about women one pair of ear at a time. She has interests in entertainment and she is a firm believer that young people can do so much by just trying to start. She has said to me, "what hurts you most in Nigeria? Find a way to change that". Tchinyere said something that's still really funny to me during our chat. She said to Maggie and I, "when you are passionate, just talk, it doesn't matter how you sound or the mistakes you make" I am so glad this series is up... October will be a great month.
