After a fair few months off, I'm back with a new episode. In this one I discuss the most important principle to apply when it comes to improving your consistency with your training. This strategy can be plugged into anything you're working at however including steps, nutrition etc but the example I use here is training and specifically how I've managed to be incredibly consistent with my own training which is yielding fantastic results.

#62 - Why Don't More People Exercise? With Annika, Crabby & James
Today the band was back together and I was joined by Annika McGivern, James 'Crabby' Crichton & James McDowell and we had a really insightful conversation about the reasons we believe people have about why they don't exercise more frequently. Only 14.3% of the UK's population has a gym membership and we believe this to be a problem and something that needs tackling.
Annika is a Sport & Exercise Psychology Coach who specialises in working with Equestrian Athletes and also Personal Trainers.
Crabby is a Strength & Conditioning Coach who specialises in working with male athletes via his Adapt & Develop Programme or his Plyo & Power Programme.
James is a Personal Trainer who specialises in working with females and more recently has worked with female athletes including work with some Irish Dancers.

#52 - The David Grey Interview
What a pleasure it was to be joined by David Grey, I was also accompanied by good friends and regular guests, Crabby & James. The 3 of us have been avid followers of David for a while now and it was fantastic to get him on the show. David is a rehab specialist who uses techniques that differ from most physios in the world. He puts a lot of focus around breathing mechanics and the impact that can have on the ribcage which the effects the rest of the body.

#25 - Defeating Diabetes with Paul Rawlinson
In this episode I am joined by one of my clients - Paul Rawlinson, a man who has overcome and defeated diabetes. Paul completely changed his lifestyle a few years back from eating and drinking what he wanted everyday to now someone who eats much healthier, exercises 5 days per week and of course is much lighter than he was previously. Paul still manages to find the balance to do what he loves at weekend which is drink plenty of beer.
I wanted Paul to share this story to prove that it is never too late to change, Paul is now 64 (going on 65) which he reminds us of in the episode, Paul was advised he must change, or.... It was the ultimate motivation for him and he shares his story here in the hope it inspires somebody else who may be at risk of diabetes or other possible health conditions should they not change their lifestyle.
This isn't just a risk for people who are a little older, this is a genuine risk to anyone who is overweight and lives an unhealth lifestyle. A powerful message from a great guy!

Bret, who is based in San Diego, California has a PHD, is an author, a gym owner and it the most famous glute coach on the planet and is known for being the founder of the 'Barbell Hip Thrust'
I interviewed Bret primarily around the topic of developing a perky bum! He homes in on the key movement patterns, the optimal frequencies, rep ranges as well as where most people go wrong. This is an action packed episode and I tried to extract as much information as possible from Bret for you the listener, in the time I had with Bret.

#4 - How To Exercise Smarter
In today's episode I explain why I believe that resistance training should be at the forefront of your training. I explain the limitations of cardio and also lay out the basics of how to build a good resistance training programme. I do touch on the benefits of cardio too but this episode is all about looking into why resistance training will give you the results that you dream of. I talk about how there is more to exercise than just burning calories and why actually you shouldn't even be thinking about burning calories - leave that to your nutrition and overall movement.
