Naomi Watson, an international speaker, is passionate about health and well-being. She enjoys working with motivated people who want to change their lifestyles to overcome or protect themselves from lifestyle diseases. Encountering cancer 15 years ago, Naomi chose to use natural adjunct therapies rather than chemotherapy and radiotherapy. On her quest to overcome health challenges and to gain a better life, Naomi now enjoys helping others transform themselves through whole-food nutrition. Encouraging her clients to eat fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and herbs and through simple alternative healing modalities to feel tremendous and skyrocket their health!

Naomi recognizes that although the health principles are simple, they can only be able to implement with proper support. Having traveled to different countries to share her experiences, she observed people's eating habits and the availability of fruits and vegetables locally. She shares' how' to increase fruits and vegetables in our diet, which helps improve the nutritional value of our meals.

Naomi was a wife to her late husband, mother to two beautiful sons, and the primary carer for her late elderly parents. Here she learned to experiment and create healthy and tasty alternatives to their favorite foods using plant-based healthy ingredients; she appreciated her family's support in accepting her choice of nutrition. This has helped her to help children and adults to ease into healthy plant-based food in their daily lives to enjoy health.

Naomi trained and worked as a Management Accountant. Although she talked about health and lifestyle before her ordeal with cancer, she shares how individuals' responses changed after her recovery. She also noticed that although people agreed with what they should do, they were not doing it. That is when she started food demonstrations through which we could learn the simple and tasty ways of eating and enjoying a plant-based diet. She shares her vision of traveling and teaching this lifestyle to create fantastic health for those who want a more vibrant, abundant life.

Leah and Rachel were sisters who were married to the same man. It kind of difficult to tell one story without the other.

When Jacob arrived in the land of his uncle Laban, he fell in love with Rachel the moment he saw her.

Because he was broke and could not afford the bride price, he agreed to work for Laban for 7 years. Sadly, Laban tricked Jacob by sending in Leah for the honeymoon instead of Rachel.

It almost seems as if the wedding happened with Rachel as the bride but in the night, Leah was sent in instead.

Nobody would know the difference since in Hebrew weddings, the bride wore a heavy veil and the festivities would continue until dark.

Needless to say, Jacob was less than pleased about the trickery of his uncle. Leah was now stuck with Jacob.

The following week, Jacob married Rachel. Throughout the marriage, Leah had many children and suffered much.

The Center for Law and Global Policy Development is a two-year program housed at River Bluff High School that is available to all Junior and Seniors of the five high schools in Lexington County School District One. The program focuses on leadership development and policy creation in the areas of law, politics, and foreign affairs. In June 2022, Mr. Burgess will have completed his 27th year as a public high school history teacher in South Carolina. Mike Burgess and his family have attended St. Stephens since January 2011. He is married to his college sweetheart Chrystal and has four children- Caylee, Jackson, Manning, and Madelyn who all attend, or have attended, Lexington County School District One schools. The Burgess family has participated in a variety of programs in the church life of St. Stephens. Currently, Burgess serves on Church Council. A lifelong American Revolution historian and resident of South Carolina, Mr. Burgess received the 2022 South Carolina VFW High School Teacher of the Year Award at a banquet in February. In 2014, Burgess was the South Carolina Sons of the American Revolution Teacher of the Year. Mr. Burgess received his BA in History from the University of South Carolina in 1993 and his MAT from the same university in 1995.

LEXINGTON — On May 5, 1890, a Black teenager named Willie Leaphart sat in a Lexington County cell waiting on a new trial ordered by the governor after evidence surfaced proving his innocence in the attempted rape of a White girl.

But the 17-year-old never had a chance to win his exoneration. An angry mob of 100 burst into the Main Street jail and poured dozens of bullets into him.

Leaphart had just become the county’s first recorded lynching victim. Ten more would follow through 1921.

It’s a story that likely would remain obscured if not for the efforts of Michael Burgess, a River Bluff High School history teacher who began digging into Leaphart’s fate in March after a student asked whether the county had ever had a lynching.

Since then, he’s given lectures on Leaphart’s story to community organizations and helped co-found a group, the Lexington County Truth and Reconciliation Collaboration, dedicated to accurately chronicling the area’s racially complex history.

The group wants to see a marker erected at the site of Leaphart’s murder, and Burgess hopes to eventually win him a pardon.

Burgess envisions town hall-style talks, cultural events and other education functions in the county of 300,000 — South Carolina’s sixth largest — with Leaphart’s death a springboard.

In the tale of Leaphart, Burgess saw a timely symbol of Lexington’s need for reconciliation and honesty in a period of turmoil and upheaval.

“What happened on this site has completely disappeared. It’s just not talked about,” Burgess said steps from where Leaphart was shot. A historical marker nearby describes the history and construction of the courthouse grounds.

“It’s hard to build a diverse, tolerant community when you haven’t engaged in the reality of the past. We’re losing the roots of our story,” Burgess said. “This community has ignored this and other pieces of history and there are still racial issues in Lexington, and the ability to begin to address those begins with accountability of the past.”

Major Correction in the response. The Host said 22 Million was spent but it is 220 million that has been spent in recounts and donations to change the will of the people. TED LANGE 

certainly exemplifies the Renaissance Man Theatre Award that he received from the NAACP in Los Angeles and the Heroes and Legends HAL Lifetime Achievement Award.  A prolific author, educator, and director and actor of stage and screen comprise the talents that have created a revered career and worldwide recognition. On May 10, 2018, Lange received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in recognition of his Contribution to the History of Television for his work on The Loveboat.

A graduate of London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Lange has written twenty-five plays and has been labeled The Black Neil Simon, The Brown Bard, and The Footnote Historian.  These nomenclatures reflect the nature of the plays that he has written and produced around the country in black theatres to rave reviews and numerous awards.  Lange is passionate about comedy, Shakespeare, history, and character driven theatre.  His quest is to weave the African American experience into stories that entertain and educate by using current events as the touchstone for timely stories and characters, by discovering little known historical facts and bringing alive lost moments of black history, and by using the timelessness of Shakespearean tales to reflect what is still relevant in today’s culture.

His Shakespearean based play written in verse, The Cause, My Soul, the Prequel to Othello, the NAACP Theatre Best Play of 2017, was presented at the Odyssey Theatre on the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death and at the North Carolina Black Theatre Festival.  The Tears of Shylock another Shakespearean based play was read at the Matrix Theatre in April 2019.

Lange’s most current play, Blues in My Coffee, is a relationship comedy/drama that entertains and enlightens audiences in the relevant political issues surrounding Black Lives Matters. 

Four Queens – No Trump played garnered critical acclaim in Los Angeles, Cleveland, Omaha, and Chicago and won the NAACP Best Play – 1997.  The Valley Theatre Awards nominated his play, Lemon Meringue Façade, in five categories and played off Broadway in New York at the New Perspectives Theatre. Another respected play, Soul Survivor, was staged at the National Black Theatre Festival at the 1996; The Olympics in Atlanta, and at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Hollywood, which co-starred Yolanda King.

As a star of the television classic The Love Boat, Lange’s ten seasons as Isaac Washington earned him global recognition. His television acting career also includes That’s My Mama, Mr. T and Tina, and guest appearances on Evening Shade, Half and Half, Family Matters, In the Heat of the Night, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Oprah Winfrey Show.  He hit the reality TV genre running on Celebrity Fit Club.

Combining all his talents, Lange wrote, acted, directed, and produced his play, Let Freedom Ring in Los Angeles. A historical dramedy about how the Liberty Bell was cracked. The play is based on a true story…almost

God started using those bold verses to build a deeper relationship between he and I. I started understanding how God saw me, which was so different from how I saw myself. By focusing on a verse of his Word for just a few minutes per day, my trust in him grew, and the Scripture began transforming my thinking.
