In this episode, Lightning, a three-month-old puppy, and his eleven-year-old master, Gabe Zanadu embark on an adventure in the woods with Gabe's brother Alex and his three-month-old puppy, Thunder. As the boys start training the dogs to track them by their scent, Lightning encounters a weird scent and he investigates. Finding a strange black cat with a stripe down its back, Lightning decides make friends and play a game with disastrous results!
