I Will Choose
We are the sum of our decisions and reactions. We often blame the world and the lot we are given, but how much power does that have over us? Today, we'll look the strategy that improves your life...and it might not be what you thought.

Chasing tomorrow
Ever seem someone public do something stupid? Haven't we all and haven't we all thought "they should have known better"? It's a trap of chasing tomorrow, and today, we'll take a look at it.

How did this happen?
Have you ever gotten to a place, realized how bad things were, and felt like it just appeared over night? Maybe it was weight gain, or a bad attitude or a poor ethic and then all of a sudden, you can't fit in your clothes or your friends don't call or you are getting poor performance reviews. You might even say "How did this happen?"

That's not true
We all receive unfair criticism and the more people you know, the more chance there is of that happening. How do you handle it without losing your mind? Jim talks about that in this A Better World.

The Do Over
We all have God's grace for us to start over. We've all made mistakes that we regret, but we don't have to stay stuck in the regrets of the past.

Everyone has an opinion
Opinions are common, and it's great to have them. It's fine, but when our opinions venture into defining other people and more importantly, God, we are out of our depth. What is that about? We'll talk about it today.

Holier Than Thou
They are all "Holier than thou". We throw the word "Holy" around in our culture, but unfortunately, we use it wrong all the time...because when it's used right, it's a good thing, not a bad one.

Thanks, even in the hard times
God writes to us about being thankful, and we good with that, until He says "in all things". Really? In ALL things? Flat tire? Dog ran away? Lost job? Yes, even in the makings of a country song...today, we look at how that works.

How to be rich
We all at one time or another see the allure of being "rich". Get rich quick schemes is a term because of that desire. Our world tells us that our lives are not full until we are rich...but is that true? If so, what is the best way to have riches? Solomon has some things to say about being rich and the best way to be rich.

Why do Christians do crazy stuff?
Why do Christians do crazy stuff in the pursuit of faith? Go to dangerous places or give their income away? God does amazing things through "reasonless" risk that is really settled in the "reason" of God.

Do I have to go to work?
After reading an article the other day that said a Gallup poll that found that 70% of the workforce in the US is disengaged and dissatisfied with their work. With all the different jobs out there, why is that? It begs the question....what if that really was a remnant of a bigger issue? Is this disengagement avoidable or inevitable? Is it possible to make your job one of the most important and rewarding things you ever do? You're doing it anyway, wouldn't it be great to find fulfillment in it? Jim talks about how today.

The Sword Mentality
Every stick that a little boy has becomes a stick...and in the movies, it seems like if the sword doesn't work well, just swing it harder and faster. We often carry this mentality into other areas of our lives, and is that a good thing?

More than you can bear
Often we have popular saying in Christendom that sounds good, but it's been twisted a little bit and has lost it's meaning. In this mini-segment of A Better World called Dangerous Scripture, Jim takes a look at one such saying that is rooted in Scripture, but the popular meaning has taken on an incorrect, and dangerous meaning.

Dangerous Scripture - Judge not
"Judge not lest you be judged" has become one of the greatest weapons that the world has used against the concept of sin and it has become one of the greatest chains to remain damaged and paralyzed by sin. So what do we do with that? Jim gives some thoughts on what this phrase really means, how we get it wrong and how we can get it right and not get run off the 3.

The Unused Potential of Receiving Gifts
Do you know that there are millions of dollars of unused gift cards every year? That's crazy! No one would do that, right? Honestly, we might find out that we do that ourselves. Jim gives us a little thing to help us along in our lives.

The Bourne Principle
In one of the Bourne movies, super secret agent Jason Bourne takes on the world, and in one scene, he is guiding a man through a crowd. Did you know that this scene can bear a striking resemblance to your life? Check it out here.

My Dad is Better Than Your Dad
When we point people to repentance, the most important person we should point to repentance is ourselves. Far too often, it's easier to point at others and keep the light off each other, and the harder we insult go at them, the more righteous we think we make ourselves look, but the truth is that we aren't. What helps us find worthy praise? Jim talks about it today, as we reach for A Better World.
