Ace Your Big Emotions

Ace Your Mother's Day!
Are you constantly disappointed on Mother's Day? It's like, I give you humans my life, and I just want for ONE DAY to be treated with amazing respect, dignity, a cherry red Chanel bag and a beautiful brunch at the fanciest restaurant on the beach? Ok, so is that just me?
I used to think those things, and then a few years ago I decided to treat myself the way I wanted other people to treat me, and it changed my damn life. I talk today about how I've evolved over the last 21 years as a Mama, and how I actually love having ZERO expectations on Mother's Day, because I do those things for myself already. No need to put that pressure on the humans in my life. And, that makes it all the more wonderful, because you're always surprised and delighted.
If you are a mama, I want to congratulate you on keeping those humans alive, fed and sheltered. You are a rock star and deserve to be treated that way. Just do it for yourself, and then when they see that behavior you will be delighted by how they start treating you. Happy Mother's Day!

Big announcement!📣📣
I am so thrilled to announce that I have officially partnered up with the Powerhouse team at eXp Realty!
I’ve been a realtor for over 18 years and wasn’t looking for a new broker to partner with. In fact, I’ve been so happy as a #RealestateAgent with my broker and team, which made this decision even more difficult.
When I decided to get my license 18 years ago, I had a newborn and a three year old. Honestly, I decided to get my license so that I could help my husband sell his fixer upper houses. To save money. That was the initial idea.
Then, after another baby was born and we got really busy with all the things, I would probably sell a few houses a year. And that was fantastic because I was able to be on all the committees, drive carpool, family dinners every night, all while helping friends and clients sell or buy their dream homes. I was hooked.
Then five years ago I decided to really lean into this business called real estate. Since then, I’ve slowly learned how to do things better and more efficiently with the help of so many great mentors. You know who you are😉
And then this opportunity came out of nowhere. I didn’t know that my business could be run in this way. Profit sharing, top national team, great split, cloud based so I can work in my yoga pants when needed, opportunities to start my own national team (swoon) and weekly coaching that is better than the coaching I had to go off campus for in the last few years.

Ace your Trolls on the Internet

This is a fun one about a weekend of self-imposed misery because of some mean trolls commenting on my social media. Am I proud that I let them get to me? NO. But, it's my first foray into this kind of negativity on social media, so I thought I would take you along for the ride and tell you what I did to get myself back aligned. It was a good lesson for me to learn what is important, what I know to be true, and that only I can let people upset me. And, frankly, it made me want even more to spread my message of joy, love, abundance and alignment. Because, if people only knew how good they could actually feel by dropping all the nasty judgment and negativity, and giving themselves that little bit of sunshine every day, our whole world could change. Pollyanna? Maybe. But, I don't care because I believe this from the core of my being. So enjoy!

Real Life Quickie: All about the 'pause
This RLQ is very salty and if I say that word too much (with quite few other colorful words so put on your headset around your kids!) I do deeply apologie. Or do I? I heard a lady this weekend say when I mentioned that I was in the throws of menopause, "Oh girl, we're all pausing!" I thought that was hysterical! So, this RLQ is all about my most recent adventures in “Pausing” and how it’s really testing my optimism. Real Life Quickie: College kids leaving after long winter break---Gah!
This real life quickie is all about the kids going back to college after being home for a month. Such a weird phenomenon. They're independently off living their best lives, and then they come home for a month winter break and the dynamics change in your house...again. Just sharing my thoughts and how I'm keeping myself from totally going off the deep end after they go back to school today.

Live from NYC! Real life quickie in the big apple!
Just had an amazing trip with my daughter, Emma, Mother in Law, Faith, and niece, Eden to NYC to celebrate Eden graduating from high school. We were supposed to go last year, and cancelled at the last minute because of all the Covid stress. Well, we made it this year, and had an amazing time! Some of our highlights were:

Bloomingdale's (huge after Xmas sales on cashmere!)
Let me know if you have a fun rec for a hotel. We were not thrilled with out hotel, so I don't want to shout it out, but we are looking for suggestions for next time. Luckily, our cousin, Sue, lives one block from Central Park and we love to stay near her. If you ever get the chance to go do NYC with girls, your daughter, granddaughter, neice, etc. please do! It's a trip to remember!
