MEET LILY GEIGER OF FIGLIA š
Lily Geiger from Figlia on The Vibe today!
Figlia was born out of a desire to have more honest and inclusive conversations around alcohol consumption. The inspiration for creating Figlia is one that is very personal. For most of Lilyās young life, she watched her father battle with alcoholism and at the age of 20, she lost him to this disease. Alcoholism comes in many shapes and sizes and may be closer to you than you realize.
Everyone has a different relationship with drinking. Lily states that she enjoys a glass of wine here and there but as she has gotten older she has found that it doesnāt make her feel that good anymore. In fact, She finds that She likes not drinking even better. But not drinking is still seen as different. Non-drinkers are still seen as outsiders. Non-alcoholic beverages are, more often than not, left on the back page of the menu.
So, she decided to create Figlia. For those who are going zero proof, for whatever reason.
Figlia is creating an active community and a place for fun. The type of dinner table that always has an open seat for all experiences and stories. Where no one is an outsider and there is something special to sip for all. All natural ingredients, no added sugars, no preservatives, no pressure.

We have the lovely Amanda Zuckerman from Dormify on The Vibe! This week we have Alissa Benishai on the pod talking all things Phat Buddha. Born and raised in New York City, Alissa Benishai graduated from Stern at the impressive age of 19. JULIE RICE: HOW HER MS JOURNEY LEAD TO INNER BEAUTY COSMETICS š
In this episode I speak to Julie Rice. Five days before her wedding, Julie was diagnosed with MS after collapsing at the florist. Miraculously, she was able to walk down the aisle but was soon forced to seek rigorous treatment and ended up leaving her career in the cosmetics industry.
Shortly after, Julie tragically lost her mother to cancer. It was at this point that she decided to fill her life with joy again by growing her family. She began to work alongside a naturopathic doctor to increase her chances of fertility and with her diagnosis and pregnancy, she became committed to finding non-toxic cosmetic products that weren't overly expensive and didn't smell bad like the other options on the market.
It was through this experience that Julie re-entered the workforce. After working in the cosmetics industry for more than 15 years, this time she was in it for herself and others. For those who are already pregnant. For ALL women with sensitive bodies, from those with autoimmune disorders to those battling cancer, and cancer survivors.

In this episode I take a deep dive on my own personal journey through this very wild time in the universe- COVID 19. While I do not go deep into politics or anything of that sort, I do pay homage to all that have been sending positive vibes, to family, to friends, to the humans who are on the front lines out there working in healthcare or in the food industry. I touch upon working from home with your significant other, some funny stories and just major gratitude towards every guest I have had on here and everyone who has ever touched my life positively, I also urge you to let go of what no longer serves you. Lastly, donāt believe everything you read and become more knowledgeable and smart during this time. Be well and stay well babetowns!
