52. [Live Coaching] Being vs. Doing with Brittni Brandwein

52. [Live Coaching] Being vs. Doing with Brittni Brandwein

In this episode, I coach Brittni Brandwein live on the podcast. In this coaching session, we took a deep dive into the concept of Being vs. Doing.

In the fast-paced world that we live in, it's easy to get caught up in the endless cycle of "doing." We are constantly striving for achievement, checking off tasks on our to-do lists, and pushing ourselves to our limits. While "doing" is crucial for progress and success, it's equally important to balance it with "being."

"Being" is the state of simply existing, of living in the moment. It's about experiencing your feelings fully, acknowledging your thoughts, and understanding your inner world.

Contrary to "doing," where the focus is external and on the future, "being" centers around the present and the internal. It's about slowing down, savoring the moment, and taking time to appreciate the world around you.

I hope this coaching session encourages you to take a step back and just BE.

51. How to Heal Through Music & Creativity with Megan Walsh

51. How to Heal Through Music & Creativity with Megan Walsh

Today on the podcast, I am interviewing Megan Walsh. Megan is a licensed creative arts therapist and board-certified music therapist who works in private practice with young adults navigating anxiety and relationship challenges. She is currently completing an advanced clinical training as an analytical music therapy practitioner.

Music is one of my loves – It’s something I have been passionate about since I was a child. Megan and I got to have an in-depth chat on how you can actually use music and the creative arts as a healing modality!

Through music and creativity, we express the deepest parts of ourselves. When we lean into our creative energy, we tap into a transformative power that allows us to embrace our unique essence, be authentically ourselves, and honor our own human experiences.

So today, as you listen to your favorite songs or create something entirely your own, remember that music is food for the soul, and creativity might be the key to unlocking your innermost self.

Let me know what resonates – I can’t wait for you to hear our conversation!

43: [Live Coaching] Imposter syndrome, Boundaries around Technology, & Visibility with Lisa Murray

In this episode, I am sharing a real live session where I coached Lisa Murray. Lisa is a Nurse Coach, and a visionary, who likes to help clients identify their own vision. She doesn’t like to work - She likes to play! The intersection of Coaching as play has been a game changer for her. In this raw coaching session, we dive into a bunch of different topics like imposter syndrome, boundaries around technology, and being visible as your most authentic self.

I hope this episode will give all of you an idea of what coaching can look like, and illustrate that it doesn’t have to be all “a-ha” moments and huge breakthroughs… but it can simply be holding space for someone, asking powerful questions, and having them reflect and process through things in their own human experience.

I’ll be sharing more of these coaching sessions on the podcast this year, so I’m excited for you to listen!

35. How to Lead With Gratitude with Scott Colby

In this podcast, I’m interviewing Scott Colby - a motivational speaker and health coach. We’re going to be talking all about gratitude this week, as it’s the week of Thanksgiving!

After an eye-opening experience in Guatemala, during which Scott witnessed firsthand the power of gratitude even in poor living conditions, he launched Say It With Gratitude, which helps companies grow their business by having gratitude as a core value. In addition to delivering his message of gratitude around the world, Scott promotes the power of thank you notes, leads gratitude adventures in the wilderness, and developed The Grateful Deck, a card game consisting of questions that spark meaningful conversations. One of his main focuses right now is helping hospitals, nursing facilities, and other healthcare institutions create a happy workplace by leading with gratitude.

It truly was such an honor to chat with him about how we can infuse a little more gratitude into our daily lives. I hope you take a lot from this episode and apply any nuggets of wisdom in your own life as we move into this holiday season. :)

21. Finding Your Authentic Voice Through Writing with Rachel Dick

In this episode, I interview Rachel Dick. Rachel was a painfully shy child turned loudmouth nurse. Her journey has been about finding her voice and learning to share what she has to say with the world.

In 2021, after 9 years of bedside nursing, she became a nurse coach and began to shift her career in a more holistic direction. She suffered from back pain, pelvic pain, skin issues, and other chronic health issues for years, and was able to heal herself using yoga, breath work, mindset work, and other holistic modalities. Her passion lies in helping ambitious women express themselves, heal, solidify their identity, and live their most vibrant and fulfilled life.

She believes that everyone has something valuable to share, but sometimes we need help finding the words and sharing them. In addition to coaching clients 1:1 in her private practice, she has created a 16-week writing workshop for nurses together with a fellow nurse and bestselling author Tilda Shalof. Through this workshop, she opens up the collective throat chakra of the nursing world and helps nurses heal through writing and creative expression.
