This is a short piece which came out of Stories on Fire back in January and has since spawned one of my new favorite characters: Edwin. He's an ex-Angel of Death turned wildlife photographer. The original prompt for the story was "The ground rumbled," which immediately made me think earthquake or elephants. And thus, out came this story.
