Business owners who use platforms like Wix & Squarespace for their website do it because the barrier to entry is very low and they don't need to worry about buying hosting, installing WordPress, or buying themes & plugins, etc.

They simply have all this taken care of from the beginning but the main downside to these platforms is that they have absolutely no control over the environment that houses their website, they can't add plugins and they can't do things like optimizing the loading speed of their pages plus SEO is a nightmare on these platforms, so, in short, you get the ease of use and no flexibility!

When I speak with business owners who have been with Wix or Squarespace for some time, they all agree that it was the best option for them when they started up and had no budget as well as little or no knowledge of WordPress! In fact, they all thought WordPress was complicated and hard to learn (which is not true), many of them think about migrating from Wix to WordPress after the first 12 months for one reason or another and it is then when they learn that they are locked-in and can not take their website with them (especially the website design they spent so much time/effort perfecting)

WordPress - in my opinion, is the best platform to use for a business website nowadays, it is powerful, flexible, and extendable, it is very lean, easy to use, and easy to learn, it is certainly not harder than the other platforms but it is way better and provides the website owner with full control from the getgo.

The main issue for startups is usually the cost to get a custom website professionally designed as many would not be prepared to pay USD.$2000+ right away.

If only there was a WordPress-based option with its better capabilities that worked in a similar way to the other platforms! Where you just pay a monthly fee and everything is taken care -of, for you!

NOW there is! my guest today Ms./ Gill Wilson does that, she calls it the "subscription-based" website.Not only that but she also offers the professional design (Templates) as part of the deal so that you are not left alone to figure things out or end up wasting hours of your time then end up hiring someone when you are stuck.

In episode No.5 here I am joined by Josh Hall from JoshHall.co, who is "The Yoda of Divi", a YouTuber, Web Design Teacher & Elegant Themes Blog Author.
Josh isn't only an experienced web designer and Entrepreneur but also a great coach for other web designers around the world.

I had spoken to many business owners and entrepreneurs in the past few weeks who opted to design their own websites.

A few had told me that they did not like working with their web designer/techie and that was what pushed them towards going the "hard way" and designing their own websites without asking for help. So I reached out to Josh to ask him "Why do web designers have a reputation?" And what "we" can do to change this perception.

During the course of our interview, we realized that we needed to give business owners good advice on how to select the best web designer (the best fit for them) and what to look for in order to make this important business (and ongoing) relationship not only a success but also fun :-)

Hey guys and welcome to Episode 4 of – online with Amr The Internet guy In this episode, I am with Robyn McTague
The Master Holistic Healer from Richmond BC. Canada

Initially, I approached Robyn to discuss her “online approach” as a business owner and entrepreneur.
I had learned that she had a bad experience with a web design agency that had prompted her to take matters into her own hands and take back control of the process to build her business’s website.
So what happens when a business owner has a bad experience with their web designer? How do you solve this issue and push through?

During our conversation, I got to know more about Robyn and her unique business services.
We ended up discussing motivation, energy, blocks and metaphysics!
We also spoke about the 3 different iterations of her business website as well as the experience she has gone through over the past 3 or 4 years in order to finally have a good working website that she feels satisfied about.

My conversation with Robyn was quite interesting, it got my brain going-on for the rest of the day,
