Building Bridges: Messiah U and Howard U Students in Discussion
Dr. James LaGrand brought his Messiah University students to Howard to have a time of discussion. We shared bits from the Canon and bits from the Black Intellectual Tradition and interwove our experiences in the discussions. It was a wonderful time of showing how the canon, as a common ground can bring us together.

Lecture at Baylor University: Narrative of Hope
This lecture was given at Baylor University and brings together most of my current research in seeking to understand not just the history of American education philosophy, but also that of Black education. Maybe in understanding this philosophy we can gain insight into how to address some of our current concerns in k12 education.
