Episode 66 - Hobby Show - How To Forge Your Own Narrative
Welcome to the Ashes of the Imperium!
In this episode Steve and listener Lee explore how he could shape and expand his new narrative project. With a lifelong love of Space Marines, Lee wants to take advantage of the expanding Crusade rules and create something unique for when lockdown is relaxed enough for him to get gaming with mates again.
Lots of questions and options are discussed! Some questions are addressed in full, but some are deliberately left unanswered to help create story ideas for future games and even new units.
Could this approach help you and your new project? If it does then we'd love to hear from you and the story your telling.
We are also collecting ideas for a future episode all about TERRAIN! Check out our recent Tweet here to make suggestions!

Wow! 50th episode! Just in time for the release of 9th Edition 40k. What an occasion!
Dan and Steve are very excited to talk about their thoughts on narrative gaming in the new edition and in today's episode provide an overview of the brand-new Crusade campaign system.
Dan and Steve also level themselves up by rolling on a few tables to test out the RPG-like progression system within the game, with some fairly interesting results...
This new campaign system looks like the perfect way to get people back into 40k after some time away, or perhaps play with a group of friends over the coming months.
Stay safe everyone, and #KeepCalmandCrusadeOn!

Episode 47 - Hobby Show - 9th Edition Preview Hype
Apparently there's a new edition coming out? This may come as a surprise, as the internet hasn't had much coverage of it recently. Dan and Steve decide to change that by chatting all about their thoughts on what has been revealed so far, plus their hopes for what it means for the next edition of 40k.
We are also very excited to showcase off our fancy new episode intro, as well as introducing a brand new global hobby collaboration hashtag - #KeepCalmandCrusadeOn.

Episode 46 - Hobby Show - Making Awesome Terrain with Leo from Rapid Tabletop
Today Dan is joined by Leo from Rapid Tabletop to talk about his epic terrain creations. You may have seen Leo's work on Insta or Twitter, his prolific work in producing stunning Zone Mortalis squares which are more like mini-dioramas is what caught the eye of the AOTI team.
Being able to chat to Leo about his projects was an absolutely pleasure and hopefully you will be as inspired to get your terrain kits out for some assembly as Dan was!
Leo is on Twitter, Instagram and Patreon. Please check out his Patreon page for more insight into his creations and do consider becoming a Patreon so that Leo can keep making awesome terrain and sharing it with his fellow hobbyists!

Episode 45 - Explorator I - Tyranids
Welcome to the very first episode in a brand new series of narratively-focused discussion about 40k, which we're calling the Explorator series!
In this new series, Steve and Dan will be exploring (hence the name!) various aspects of the Warhammer 40k universe. We'll be looking at the topic through three main perspectives; Lore, Modelling and Gaming.
In this debut Explorator episode, we focus on one of Dan's favourite factions, arguably the most dangerous Xenos faction out there, the Tyranids!
Let us know what you think of the episode, what aspects of 40k you'd like us to cover in future Explorator episodes, and how we might improve the structure of such episodes too. We're always keen to hear your feedback!

Episode 44 - Hobby Show - Warhammer TV Previews I and II
In today's episode, we discuss the recent Warhammer TV Twitch previews from last week and the week before! We talk about the releases we're excited about (and some we're less excited about) and discuss what we'd like to see in future previews.
Let us know what you think of the episode, as the "live reaction" style content isn't what we usually do and the format on a pre-recorded podcast may be a bit weird!
What was your favourite reveal from the most recent two previews and what are you hoping to see next?
Happy hobbying!
