Get ready for what you asked for
My passion is to help women, but my weakness is speaking in public. Whenever there was an opportunity to talk in front of others, I would either decline or be so nervous that I would fumble over my words and talk fast.
One morning, I heard a word from God that said, "Stay ready, so you do not have to get ready," but I wasn't sure what that meant. Then, later on, I was listening to Sarah Jakes Roberts, and her podcast episode was about staying ready, so you do have to get ready and prepare for what you are asking for. That is when I knew God was telling me something.

5 Reasons Why Loving Yourself is Important
The longest relationship you will ever have is with yourself. Unfortunately, that relationship doesn't come naturally, so you have to be patient and continually grow it.
I remember self-sabotaging my relationship because I could not love myself, so it made me not allow others to love me either, creating problems that were not there.
Having a loving relationship with yourself looks like kindness, grace, forgiveness, and accountability. But before someone can love you, you have first love yourself, so today, I want to give you 5 Reasons why loving yourself is important.
Download my free guide "36 Solo Date Night Ideas"! and treat yourself! What better way to enjoy your company than to take yourself out on a date!

When loving yourself isn't always easy
Have you ever had those moments when you felt unlovable? Not from anyone else but yourself?
There was a time in my life (20 years ago) when I didn't love myself properly. My self-esteem was low, and I felt like I was losing myself. I would wake up in the morning, dreading getting up because I had hit a low point in my life.
Then I did some self-flection and found out that I was unhappy in that current situation.
In today's episode I give you 7 ways to love yourself again!
To receive your free download, 36 Solo Date Night Ideas click here!

How dating myself changed my life
Today's episode talks about how dating myself changed my life.
During my dating season, it seemed like I was giving all of myself while they were giving nothing, and I got sick and tired of always being last, so I decided to start dating myself.
It was time to put myself first and enjoy what I like to do and not do what others wanted to do. After I started dating myself, it became rewarding, and it taught me how to enjoy my own company and help me focus on my mental health.

What is your love language?
"If you want to find the love of your life, look in the mirror" ~Unknown In my journey of learning to love myself better, I could never figure out why it was so hard for me to show people how to love me.
I was often frustrated because I thought the way I loved people was the same way I would receive it until I came across a book that thoroughly explained to me what I was missing.
Many people do not realize that loving yourself first is the foundation for any relationship you enter. Whether its a friendship, relationship, marriage, or work, when you can communicate to others how you feel when loved correctly, you will take away a lot of the guesswork out for them!

When the apology your looking for doesn't come
Why is it so hard for people to apologize when they did you wrong? I remember when I was looking for an apology for someone who mistreated me, and did you know that the person acted like I was the reason I got mistreated!! So instead of admitting that they did me wrong, it was easier for them to place the blame elsewhere.
For years this bothered me because I was looking for an apology to validate my feelings. Just hearing the words "I'm sorry" and they meant it would have put my mind at ease. But when it never came, I had to forgive and move on.

Overcoming unhealed trauma with Lauren Brown, Part 1
In this two-part interview, I am talking with Lauren Brown on overcoming unhealed trauma. Today, she talks about her childhood and the loss of her father at an earlier age. On top of that, at the age of 3, she was separated from her mother due to her drug addiction. This caused her to develop anxiety and uncertainty later in life.
As her mom continued to go in and out of rehab, Lauren had to stay with her mom's friends while her mom was getting the help she needed. At 17, her mother had another bout with her addiction. Nevertheless, Lauren was determined to graduate high school, so she moved out and stayed with her childhood friend.

Dealing with a family member who is a narcissist
In this episode, I give you four tips to deal with a narcissistic family member.
Please don't call them a narcissist: Unfortunately, people with a narcissistic personality disorder will not recognize that they are the problem. They cannot see their behavior.
Please don't argue with them; you will not win: They see themself as the victim, and you are the problem. Offer them a compliment first, then give them a small dose of negative feedback.
Set limits and boundaries: Decide to give some space to the other person or cut ties altogether. You may not be able to control their behavior, but you can prevent being around them.
Seek counseling and support from family members: Get a support system that will build you up and help you heal from the hurt.

How to recognize a narcissist
I believe we all have seen, met, worked with, been around, maybe in a relationship with a Narcissist. Someone who thinks you should praise the ground they walk on exaggerates their accomplishments and even removes people from their lives if they are not beneficial to them. Taylor Counseling Group stated in an article "How to deal with a narcissistic family member," April 2, 2021, that an estimated 5% of the American population may have a narcissistic condition.
I am in no shape or form a qualified therapist, but I had a past relationship with a narcissist that made me feel like I was the problem and I could never make them happy. The signs were there; I did not know it at the time. SO in this episode, I want to help someone recognize the traits and avoid being in a toxic relationship.

Creating a goal list for your dreams
As I wrap up the dream series, I wanted to give you the final piece to making your dreams come true. There are many areas of your life that you want to set goals for, and each area should have its own list.
Having a list will serve as a blueprint/road map on where you need to focus your time and energy.
Understand there will be seasons of your life where you will not feel like working on your goals, and that's ok. Just remember to revisit those goals once you are ready.

Are you a Dreamer or Goal-Getter?
The number one reason why people do not accomplish their dreams is that they do not take action.
Do you know the difference between a dream and a goal?
As a kid, I loved to dream and thought of the possibilities of what my life could turn out to be. Dreaming is what kept my imagination going. But, once I got a little older, I realized I had to do something about those dreams for them to come true.
Are you ready to take those dreams and turn them into a reality?
Take a listen to this week's episode as I explain the difference between the two and give you tips to becoming a goal-getter!
If you need help getting your dreams out of your head and onto paper, you can contact me at arvilla@arvillabeckworth.com.

Interview w/April Denzmore, Pursuing your dreams
With discipline, resilience, and coach, April left her 9 to 5 job to pursue her dreams full time. The thing that kept her focused was knowing her WHY. "Your WHY will give you the fuel to push through." -April Denzmore.
Dreams and goals are the two things that keep us looking forward to a better life. But, until we choose to go after them and make them come true, they will stay right where we left them, in our minds.

Don't stop dreaming
"Hold on to your dreams of a better life and stay committed to striving to realize it" -Earl G Graves.
Have you ever closed your eyes and imagined what it would be like if you lived a particular lifestyle, made a crazy amount of money, drove a specific car, start a successful business, or become debt-free?
We all have!
Life gets in the way and makes us re-think the thing we wanted so bad. I want to encourage you to keep pushing forward even when you can't see your dreams come to life.
Listen to this week's episode as I give you five ways to achieve your goals!

Are you ready for what you asked for?
Have you ever asked God for something, hoping he would give it to you just because you asked?
My passion is to help women, but my weakness is speaking in public. Whenever there was an opportunity to talk in front of others, I would either decline or be so nervous that I would fumble over my words and talk fast.
One morning, I heard a word from God that said, "Stay ready, so you do not have to get ready," but I wasn't sure what that meant. Then, later on, I was listening to Sarah Jakes Roberts, and her podcast episode was about staying ready, so you do have to get ready and prepare for what you are asking for. That is when I knew God was telling me something.

Don't doubt yourself. Believe in yourself.
Everything you have in life is the result of you believing in yourself. Sometimes you want something bad enough that you think about it over and over again until it starts to feel real. Then all of a sudden, doubt creeps in, and you stop believing that it was possible, so you give up.
Why is it so easy for us to count ourselves out and not believe it is possible?
In this episode, I give you 4 ways to believe in yourself plus talk about the 5 stages of transformation.

Give yourself a promotion
When is the last time you received a promotion? 6 months ago, 1 year ago, or maybe even 2 years or more?
This promotion I am talking about is the kind you give yourself.
YOU worked hard. YOU sacrificed for others. YOU put your life on hold. Isn't it time for YOU to reward yourself?
Your promotion doesn't have to be monetary. It could be in your time, self-care, relationships, or well-being. Whatever your "promotion" is, you deserve it.

Appreciate the little things in life that are right in front of you. Don't let social media make you glamorize other people's lives when you have a good life.

How to reset your mid-year
Can you believe the first half of 2021 is complete?
In this episode, I give you eight things you can reset. I was initially going to do ten but forgot to mention them during the episode, so I listed them below.
In June, I took some time out to look at where I was in my life, and I realize that some areas were further than others, but there were some things I was behind in. So I needed to check in with myself to get back on track to finish 2021 strong.
Ten things you can do to reset your mid-year:
Over life assessment Get out in nature Make sure you are getting rest Take a social media break Self-care (a must) Evaluate your relationships Re-evaluate your career How are YOU? Take time out in the morning and before you go to bed for quiet time Do some mental and physical cleaning in your lifeIf you have not signed up for my email list, please visit www.arvillabeckworth.com to receive weekly/bi-weekly newsletters. Why self-care is important in our life
Self-care is something that we all need. I, unfortunately, neglected self-care and become overextend/burnout. I knew I was not doing the things I needed to keep my mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical space intact.
I thought I could push through, and my body would bounce back like it usually did, but not this time. My body decided to shut down.
Luckily I caught it early and took a week and a half off of work to replenish myself.
Somethings I did was:
Take a bubble bath Rest Watched my favorite show Talk to my husband about my burnout Mani/pedicure, Have a piece of chocolate cake! What are you going to do to implement self-care?
Go ahead a jump into this week's episode to find ways you can add self-care into your daily/weekly routine.

How to recognize burnout in yourself
Burnout is something we have to take ownership of. When our body has been giving us signs that it is approaching "empty" and needs us to pull over and fill up, we need to listen.
Please do not wait until you are "empty" before you recognize burnout. Be in tune with yourself to know when to stop what you are doing and reassess what your body needs.
Steps to prevent burnout:
Figure out what has led you to be burned out. Reconnect with your WHY. Be clear on what you need to be fully functional. Set boundaries. Set up a self-care routine. If you are a point where you are past burnout, please seek professional help.

Reclaiming your health
Last week's interview with Marci Milisap of QueensRx taught me that my health needs to be my priority. In this episode, I talk about some of the challenges of being a truck driver and the consequences of it when you don't take care of your health.
I am challenging myself for the rest of 2021 to change my lifestyle and create healthier habits that will keep me living for a long time!
What are you going to challenge yourself with this week to get your health back on track?

Health is wealth
In today's interview, I talk with Marci Millsap of Queen's Rx. Not only is she a serial entrepreneur, but she is serving 20 years in the military, wrote a number one selling book "Affirmation for Queens," and is a Wellness and Personal Coach.
Her health journey started when her appendix burst, and she had to go to the hospital, where she blackout and coded. Then she came back and finally had her appendix removed after four days.
Since it was during the quarantine in 2020, she could not see her family during that time. As she continued to stay in the hospital, her body kept getting worst, and that is when she realized something wasn't right.
Through everything, she promised herself, she would walk again!
Today God has given her an army full of women who are willing to go on this journey with her and make a Total Life Change!!

Missing a loved one
Mother's Day can be challenging for people who lost their mother, especially a woman who was close to her mom.
Her family can shower her with love, gifts, affirmations but the void of not having her mom is still there.

If losing your mom is becoming too hard for you, please seek out professional help to assist you on your journey. No one should have to grieve alone.

Arvilla's love letter to Laura
In this episode, I get a little emotional because it is a love letter to my Mom. Thankful she is still alive to hear this.

Mother's Day Special
Today I want to celebrate our Mothers!!
The ones that make things happen at a moment's notice. The one who could give you a look at the side of her eye, and you straighten up. The one who loves you unconditionally while others gave you conditions. The one who prayers over you when you are sick.
Even though she didn't know everything about being a mother, she did her best with what she had. She never gave up and continue to push when everything was trying to bring her down.
If anyone has called you Mom, we celebrate you!!!!

Dumping Debt
Take more vacations?
Retire early?
Start a business?
Send your child to college debt-free?
Take care of your parents?
I know a lot of us would love to have some extra money each month.
At the age of 19, I had over eight credit cards, and I was irresponsible with them all. As I got older, debt stopped me from buying my first home, pay a higher interest rate on a new car, and denied me from getting loans. Debt had me wrapped up, that I had to file bankruptcy to get a fresh start.
In 2013, I found Financial Peace University and slowly worked my way back to cleaning up my debt. In this episode, I talk about getting out of debt and ways you can pay your debt off.
Listen to this week's episode!

Is that considered an emergency?
As we continue with the financial series, I want to talk about saving for an emergency. Do you have money saved up for an emergency?
Many of us spend more than we make, and unfortunately, we forget to put money aside for a rainy day. Gallup did a survey before the 2008 crisis hit and found out that only 32% of Americans would be able to cover an emergency of $5,000 without borrowing money. That data alone should have you look at your finances and see if you are prepared to cover an emergency.
Listen to this episode as I talk about the importance of starting a $1,000 beginner emergency fund.

Getting your finances in order
Do you know where your money is going?
When you get a lump sum of money, you have to be mindful of your current financial situation. Before you spend all of your stimulus check, tax refund, or paycheck, you want to make sure your finances are in order.
It so easy to want to spend it on things you wanted to get for the last year or so, but what about the people you owe, fix things that are broken, or replenish that depleted savings account? Take care of needs before spending on wants.
If you need help setting up a budget, you can set up a free 15-minute consultation with me. Click link here!

Interview w/ Brittany Mcleod, Mastering Money
In this episode, I talk with Brittany about managing finances. At the age of 29, she challenged 10 of her friends to save $10,000 (by the end of 2021) holding, them accountable with their finances.
Not only can she spot a deal a mile away, but she was able to lower her finances, create a 5-figure savings, and pay down debt while in the middle of a pandemic. This sister is on fire!
Her determination for financial freedom is inspiring!

Taking a mental health day
Mental health is essential, but 2020 showed us how much mental health is important. So much happened last year that we were hanging on.
We need to recognize the signs when our body/mind is telling us to regroup and reenergize. Pushing our mind too far can cause us to breakdown mentally & physically. In this episode, I provide 15 signs you need to prioritize your health.
If any of the signs hit home, please take some time to address them and incorporate self-care into it. It is ok to take a mental health day, week, month, or year.
The Depression Project said it best " You are not weak or lazy for taking a mental health day."

Interview w/Lillian Hernandez, Battling Depression
Depression can affect anyone. Whether you are rich, poor, black, white, man, woman, young, old. It hits everyone the same.
Lillian Hernandez, Podcast Host of "Wine Down With Lil," dropped an episode on her podcast called My Experiences with Depression (January 20, 2021). In this interview, she spoke about being bullied in high school due to the texture of her hair, almost stabbed on the playground in elementary, and dealing with depression at an early age.
Today Lillian and I talk about how depression affects us as women. It is easy for us to internalize a lot of feelings and still function like everything is ok. But what do you do when that one off day turns into an off week and then an off month?

When it's time to walk away
There will be times when certain situations no longer serve you. Whether it be a job, dream, relationship, etc. We have to decide to walk away and be ok with starting over.
A few questions you can ask yourself to see if you need to walk away are...
Is there a better option? Is it causing me to be unhappy? Am I losing money?Don't stay in something just because it makes someone else happy, it's convenient, or I do not have any other option. Make yourself a priority, and don't be afraid to start over. Over time, you will be in a better situation and much happier.

When obstacles give you an opportunity to become a better version of yourself, take it
A takeaway from any lesson is to learn from it and use the tools it gives you not to relearn that lesson again. Sometimes you have to learn it repeatedly until you get it right, but that is what second chances are all about!

When a relationship is no longer healthy
A new relationship gives you butterflies, boosts your mood, and has your heart skipping a beat, but as time goes, what once made you happy no longer brings you joy.
Your family and friends noticed you are distant. Your demeanor has changed. You have become short-tempered and angry. You're walking on eggshells. The relationship may not be an intimate relationship but a parent, friend, coworker, or business partner. Regardless who it is, staying in a relationship that doesn't add value to your life is not worth losing yourself behind.

How to deal with unresolved hurt
Is there something that you are carrying that keeps showing up in your life?
Something you thought you dealt with but showed up at the wrong time? Maybe it's fear, insecurity, hurt, rejection, low self-esteem, resentment, or jealousy?
Old habits are hard to break when we do not heal from them, and I can speak from experience!
Without closure, living life is not fun, but the only way to get to the next level in your life is to heal from it.
What type of hurt are you still dealing with?

Second Chances
What does a second chance mean for you? Does it mean a redo, to fix something you messed up, or start over?
I had to look up the definition in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, and it stated it's "An opportunity to try something again after failing one time."
I know I am not the only one who had some mistakes in their life; they wish they could get another chance at fixing them. The one thing about my mistakes was that I didn't remember the lessons, so I kept learning the hard way to get it together.
In this episode, I give you seven things you can use to get a second chance. It won't be easy but well worth it in the long run. Understand it's what you do with a second chance that counts, not the process.

Interview with Kathy Garner, Taking care of Self💆🏽♀️
Is self-care a number one priority on your list?
Most people will say NO because they either do not have enough time or it cost too much to keep it up. Well let me clear the air.
First, you make time for what is important to you. When you need something bad enough, you will put all of your energy into making it happen.
Secondly, self-care doesn't cost anything. You will be surprised what self-care is available for free!!
My guest Self-Care Advocate Kathy Garner talks about why she is passionate about self-care. Taking care of her elderly mother caused her to neglect herself so she found a way to change her narrative and begin her journey of self-care.

Happy 1 year anniversary!!
Do you know what today is? It's our anniversary!
I can't believe Jan 3, 2020 I was nervous about starting a podcast because I didn't feel qualified. Doubt kept creeping in, and I wasn't sure who would listen, but I put myself out there anyway.
During this year I learned so much about myself. How I was preparing myself for what I asked for, the impact I had on other's life, and getting over a fear of talking.
If I can give you any piece of advice, it is to believe in yourself and just do it! You will never know how far you will go until you try.
Go ahead and listen to this week's episode!

Don't forget your small wins
When someone ask you how your year went, can you remember all of your wins?
A friend told me that the best way to remember is to get a mason jar and sticky notes. From January 1-December 31, write down all of your wins. On December 31, take time out and reflect on everything you accomplished for the year. You will be surprised how much you did!
Some people say that 2020 was rough and nothing positive came out of it, but when I read through all of my wins, It wasn't bad at all.
Check out my Instagram page where I show my Jar and my sticky notes. Hopefully, it will encourage you to start your own jar!

How to set goals you can actual reach

How vision boards help me reach my goals.
How do you plan for the upcoming new year when it comes to your goals? Do you create a New Years resolution, vision board, or do you wing it?
For me, vision boards helps me accomplish my goals by keeping me accountable. I put it where I can see it daily and I say them out loud.
It helps me see a snap shot of what I am working towards. Once I have completed the vision board, I start to create an action plan on how to get it done. Without putting a plan together on how it will work, it will be another vision board hanging on my wall.
Take some time and figure out what changes you want to see in the new year. It starts with you and your decision to change.

Goal Setting
2020 is almost over and it is time to start preparing for 2021. In this episode I talk about the importance of setting goals and how they can make your life enjoyable if you set the right ones.
In the next few weeks, I will be talking about vision boards. Being able to see your goals is just as important as writing them done.

Letting go of baggage
Have you been hurt by how a relationship ended? Or what about every new relationship you got into felt like the last one?
If you do not heal from your past relationship you will continue to repeat the cycle over again and have the baggage to prove it. Once a relationship has ended, use the time to work on yourself and find out what when wrong. Plus you want to let go of anything that is weighing you down and be able to start receiving abundance back into your life.
Let me give you 6 ways to break free from past hurt.

Get ready for what you asked for
Have you ever asked God for something hoping he would give it to you just because you asked?
My passion is to help women but my weakness is speaking in public. Every time there was an opportunity to speak in front of others, I would either decline or be so nervous that I would fumble over my words and talk fast.
One morning, I heard a word from God that said "Stay ready so you do not have to get ready" but I wasn't sure what that meant. Then later on I was listening to Sarah Jakes Roberts and her podcast episode was about staying ready so you do have to get ready and prepare for what you are asking for.
Now when I heard that, I knew God was telling me something.

Transformation
Did you know when a caterpillar turns into a butterfly, it is considered Transformation?
They create a cocoon around themself and use the time to turn into something beautiful. They don't tell or show anybody what they are doing inside. They just do it.
If you want any permanent change to take place in your life, you have to put in the work to make it happen. It will not be an overnight fix nor will it be easy but it will be worth the wait.
For the next 90 days, find one thing that you want to really change about your life. Do not just pick something out of the blue. I really want you to think of something you continue to do over and over again but never follow through.
What if this time you get further than you have ever gotten?
Go ahead and hit play to listen to this week's episode!

Action
In stage 4 of the transformation series, Action is the one that separates the doers from the watchers.
The word ACT breaks down to (A) Action, (C) Changes, (T) Things. Until you decide you are ready to act on your goals, you will be stuck where you are.
Action requires you to commit, be disciplined, and dedicate yourself to permanent change. Are you ready to put in the work or are you going to keep talking about it?
Here are 4 things to remember....
Put together an action plan and make it clear. If the goal is too big, break it down to smaller achievable goals. For every milestone you complete, reward yourself. Have a completion date.Don't forget Daylight Savings is November 1st! Set your clocks back 1 hour!

Education
"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today."- Malcom X
Education is important in our ever changing world. If you do not keep up with it, you could get left be behind.
In the 3rd stage of transformation, education helps you educate yourself on the change you need to make. You are responsible in spending quality time and effort to gain all the knowledge you need to help you successfully complete you goal.
You have to do your own research before you jump into something. Plus you want to know for yourself what you are researching and not someone else's opinion.

Motivation
In Episode #39 I talked about how to be inspired for internal transformation. This week I talk about stage number two, motivation.
"If you find the right motivation, you can accomplish anything".
I read an article on zenhabits.net and it talked about motivation is what drives you toward a goal, what keeps you going when things get tough, the reason you get up early to exercise or work late to finish a project.
In order to be disciplined and consistent, you need motivation to carry you through.
5 ways to become (and stay) motivated:
-Set goals -Break down your goals -Tell people -Track your progress -Reward yourselfPress play to hear this week episode!

Inspiration
Episode 38 I talked about believing in yourself even when doubt shows up. I also talked about the 5 stages of transformation that can turn a goal from an inspiration to a permanent transformation by going through each stage.
Today's episode is the beginning stage. Whether it is being inspired to lose weight to being inspired to live your life, you need something that gets you energized.
Merriam-Webster Dictionary says the true meaning of inspiration is something that makes someone want to do something or that gives someone an idea what to do or create.
Tell me what inspires you?

Don't doubt yourself before you believe in yourself
Everything you have in life is in result of believing in yourself. You want something bad enough that you think about over and over again until it starts to feel real. Then doubt creeps in and you stop believing that it was possible so you give up.
In this episode, I give you 4 ways to believe in yourself plus the 5 stages of transformation.

Having a support system is important
Having a support system is something this is a must in life. Whether it's a life coach, health coach, financial coach, even a family member. You need people around you that can push you in the direction you want to go.
There will be times in your life when you are not strong enough to do it on your own strength. That's ok. We were not meant to do life alone. We are meant to help others.
Remember we will all go through something in our life that requires support so do not be stingy when someone needs you for support.

In this episode I will give you 10 ways to bounce back.

Giving from your overflow
Happy Labor Day! I hope you are getting some much needed rest this holiday weekend!
This month I have been talking about replenishing yourself and getting your energy intact. I spoke about how to recognize the signs of burnout and then how to incorporate self-care into your routine. Now I want to talk about giving from your overflow.
As long as you are giving to others from a place of depletion, you will never be full. Imagine an empty glass and a full pitcher. The glass in it's natural state is empty, but when you start to pour the content in the pitcher into the glass, it feels up. Once the glass fills up, you can either stop or continue to keep pouring.
The excess of the pouring is your overflow. Please do not give from your cup because this is what you need to function each day. Give to others and things from the extra overflow you have.
Stop saving the world and start saving you! Go ahead and listen to this week's episode!

Why self-care is important
In Episode 33, I talked about burnout. This week I want to prevent burnout by talking about self-care. Self-care is a must and should be taken seriously. I unfortunately neglected self-care and become overextend/burnout. I knew I was not doing the things I needed to keep my mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical space intact.
I thought I could push through and my body would bounce back like it normally did, but not this time. My body decided to shutdown.
Luckily I caught it early and took a week and a half off of work to replenish myself.
Somethings I done was:
Take a bubble bath, rest, watched my favorite show, talk to my husband about my burnout, get a pedicure, have a piece of chocolate cake!
Go ahead a jump into this weeks episode to find ways your can add self-care into your daily/weekly routine.

How to recognize burnout
Burnout is something we have to take ownership for. When our body has been giving us signs that it is approaching "empty" and needs us to pull over and fill up, we need to listen.
Do not wait until your "empty" before you recognize burnout. Be in tune with yourself to know when it is time to stop what you are doing and reassess what your body needs.
Steps to prevent future burnout:
*Figure out what has led you to being burned out.
*Reconnect with your WHY
*Be clear on what you need to be fully functional
*Set boundaries
*Set up a self-care routine
If you are at a point where you are past burnout, please seek professional help immediately. We need you whole and healthy

Envision a future you
With everything that has gone on in 2020, it is hard to see what the future holds. Our normal is no longer normal and our days run together, but that should not stop you from preparing your future. Your future you is waiting for you.
I want you to envision a future you.
What does she look like? What has she achieved? What lifestyle has she created? Our brains don't realize the difference between current reality & our dreams so why not create your future.

Speak life into your situation
Have you ever had those days when you did not have the right words to say regarding a situation? Life seems to continually knock you down and you just need a minute to get your thoughts together and breathe.
Today I want you to declare and decree over your life everyday what you are. What I mean by that is what powerful statement can you say about your situation until things turn around? You can say I AM healed. I AM whole. I AM confident. I AM lovable.
Speak the words you need until you see them become your reality.

Episode #30, Interview with Divinearth from teen mom to life lessons coach
Growing up, both of her parents were alcoholics. She was molested as little girl and then got pregnant at 15. Being a teen mom caused her to drop out of high school in the 9th grade.
With no education or money, she had to work 2-3 jobs to take care of her family. She eventually finds love in doing hair and becomes a hairstylist, in which she became a salon owner for 4 years. Then a new opportunity presents itself for her to become an over the road truck driver, and as of today, her and her husband run a successful company called Married too the Miles.

Upgrading your life
How many of you have been living the same life for the last few years? No changes. No improvement. No motivation. You keep making excuses why you haven't changed, but wonder why everyone else has all of the luck.
You were not put on this earth to barely get along or take leftover scraps. You were meant to make moves, stand out, and live life abundantly. I don't have to tell you why upgrading your life is important because you should want to improve your life just because.
It's time to upgrade your life!

Celebrate your small success
Then a friend of mine told me to get a mason jar and every time I had an win/success, write it on a sticky note then fold up and put it in the jar. If I start it January 1 and end it December 30, on December 31 I could empty the jar and read everything I did for the year!
So as of July, my jar is only 35% full. Unfortunately COVID came and slowed some things down but it didn't stop wins from happening.
If you want to see my jar, go to my instagram page @arvilla_beckworth

Focus on the finish line
When starting a goal, it is exciting to be in the beginning phase because you have drive, excitement and ambitions to get started. As time goes and the weeks turn into months, you no longer feel the same way as you did in the beginning. You start skipping days on working toward goals, then you slow down the progress even further, and you eventually stop.
You have to believe it before you see it and keep push even when you do not feel like it. Focus on the finish line so you not only see who you are becoming, but be proud of yourself for completing what you said you would do.
The old saying is "Keep your eyes on the prize". Listen to the weeks episode to get some encouragement.
You come to far to start back over, so keep pushing!

How can a bad relationship influence your next relationship
In episode#10, I interviewed my husband about the early stages of our relationship. When we got together, I was still dealing with some unresolved issues that I was bringing into this relationship. I thought it would be nice for my husband to give his take on what it was like in the beginning.
We don't realize if we do not heal from a bad relationship, we carry the hurt into another one. Counseling helped me realize that I made a bad choice in a relationship, but I could change my thought process by bettering myself and learning from it.

Transitioning into a new season of your life
Transition is never easy and requires not only discipline but commitment. I am currently transitioning my permed hair into natural hair and I thought it would be easy because I seen the end result and didn't realize the in between process would be work.

One tip: Wake up 15-30 minutes early and go to bed 15-30 minutes early starting this Tuesday, giving your body 5 days to adjust.

Episode #7, Create a "Just for me" day!
Why should we only celebrate ourselves once a year when we can do it 12 times a year!? We give so much to others on their day, that we either forget about ours or do not put in the same effort as everyone else's. Today I will be talking about how you can create a day just for you! A day where you can bring out the balloons and party favors 12 times a year.

Loving yourself again.
We live in a world where loving ourselves was not taught to us at an early age. Either you had parents who were still in the process of trying to themselves, so they were unable to show you how to love yourself or maybe you were taught but something or someone took that experience away.
It is never too late to reintroduce self love back into your life. Listen as I give you 8 ways you can love yourself again.

Episode #1, Welcome and why I started this podcast
Today on the very first episode, I want to welcome you to my podcast and give you some background on why I started it. I believe everyone deserve a second chance at life and what better way to get it than to do it over. It has taken me years to come through my transformation period and it all started from a domestic violence relationship. We all want change to happen fast, but if the change doesn't start internally, we go back to what is familiar.
