This episode 66 is a review of the Snafels Traverse and the hurricane Ian that decimated FMB

This 66th episode goes goes into detail of the snafels traverse in the San Juan range of Colorado. At the same time as this traverse was being tackled hurricane Ian decimated the island of fort Myers Beach. I like to discuss the similarities between climbing big peaks and dealing with big national disasters. I hope you find this interesting and please pass on to your friends if you enjoy it.

This is a great podcast featuring Tommy Heinrich talking about summits around the world.

This is one of my favorite podcast featuring Tommy Heinrich. We first climbed together in the Year 2005 and then reunited 2 months ago in July of 2022. I love this podcast because Tommy gives such great insight into the decisions that people need to make on big mountains. Tommy is a renowned photographer for national geographic has summited many of the Peaks highest peaks of the world and has been to the north pole. If you're interested in having Tommy do photography for you or an expedition he can be reached at his website. http://tommyheinrich.org or if you're interested in helping us with our charity for kids at risk please click. This is a description of one of the most difficult climbing days I have ever had. With the difficulties came great rewards. It was awesome to be able to climb in the ice Falls for 4 hours SOLO while the crash of ceraces crack all around me. It's unbelievable to explore this kind of terrain under a three quarter Full Moon.

The Sacred PUJA ceremony in the Tengboche Monastery

This episode could be one of the most important regarding our Everest Expedition. No one should go on the holy Mt Everest without a proper Puja ceremony. From what I'm told the Sherpas will not support any individual that doesn't respect and go through the Puja ceremony process. Our ceremony takes about 45 minutes and is conducted by the local monastery Lama. The chanting ceremonial cymbal and gong echo through the monastery chamber. The whole ceremony is nothing less than magical. Enjoy peeks podcast and please support my charity Foreman 7 project. Org

Everest is only 20 days away with guest Austin O'Such at 12,000+' ASL Exploring expedition details!

What a great podcast delivered at 12,000+' ASL in the middle of a blizzard with Son in Law, Austin O'Such. It is so interesting to do a Q and A session with a non climber because I  have heard these questions many times and now they are answered for your listing ears. There's nothing as invigorating as delivering a Podcast with your son-in-law in a blizzard at 12000 plus vertical feet above sea level. Austin chose not to go downtown and hangout in the city but to spend a week up here helping me train and acclimatize at 12 to 13000' above sea level. Austin is one of many who have come to my side to help train for this expedition on Everest. I am very proud to say I have so many family members and friends that are supporting this major goal in my life. Listen along and sure you're gonna learn a bunch. Remember you can see video and photos of the different expeditions and the different seasons at www.peaksPodcast.rocks Also don't forget our charity www.foreman7project.org when 100% of the funds go to kids at need, letting them experience things that you and I completely take for granted.

Then we answer the question from my mother, what's the plan. Then we wrap up with a discussion on training starting out with 4 months in Florida, then moving to the final stages of acclimatization in the mountains of Colorado. Then we wrap up with the schedule as it stands 42 days and 20 day before departure let's see how this plays out in future episodes. If you enjoy this Podcast please share it with your friends and also make comments on the content is this a catalyst for you to get out and do something in the outdoors? If you are considering starting an activity outdoors start small and gradually build-up just like Everest in my training and doing 20% more than the training for Denali, 1 step at a time.
