Growing Up 80's with Jake Michaels - #1 Hits from 70's Re-recorded in the 80's
Growing Up 80's with Jake Michaels - #1 Hits from 70's Re-recorded in the 80's
So this episode is about songs that were #1 hits in the 70’s and then were remade in the 80’s by other artists. In a few cases, the remake had just as much success as the original, but most failed to do anywhere near as good as the original. Being as the 70’s can be thought of as the decade of the singer/songwriter, it kind of makes sense for artists of the 80’s to re-record some of these classics.
This episode will feature #1 hits songs from the 70's like "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green, "Lean On Me" by Bill Withers and "Play that Funky Music" by Wild Cherry and more that were re-recorded in the 80's.
