Time Ram

By Time Ram

Time Ram, a Doctor Who podcast which randomly selects a mismatched Doctor and story from 60 years of the show and attempts to ram them together.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but if you've ever wondered how 'Mummy on the Orient Express' would have looked in the Colin Baker era, or how 'The Caves of Androzani' would work starring Peter Capaldi, then Time Ram is the podcast for you.

The regular hosts are Rupert Booth, Paul Ferry and Barry Williams.

Time Ram 049: Not the Five Doctors You Were Expecting

For our 60th anniversary special, we take the classic episode 'The Five Doctors' and Time Ram it into the 'Day of the Doctor' slot, as broadcast on 23 November 2013! Despite some of us being trapped in a time eddy, we explain numbers, the Cyberman decline and the economic role of Terrys chocolate oranges... helped by our special guest, Gareth Preston! No cabbages were harmed in the making of this podcast.

Time Ram 048: Spacetime for Hitler

Time Ram 048: Spacetime for Hitler

Tune in (so to speak) and listen to Time Ram attempting the impossible: taking Steven Moffatt's finely tuned episode "Let's Kill Hitler" and attempting to cram it into the Jon Pertwee era! I mean, what are we like? It might help that we've already done "A Good Man Goes to War" (Time Ram 005) and come up with a possible River Song parentage in "The Return of Dr Mysterio" (Time Ram 031). Or it might not. It's the episode otherwise known as "A National Socialist Dictator F***'s Us Up!"

Time Ram 047: Zero (Pr)Escher

Time Ram 047: Zero (Pr)Escher

It seems that in the Time Ram Universe (TRU?) Paul McGann's Doctor Who was introduced to the Americans in 1996 with... 'Castrovalva'. In other words, the Master, complex continuity and endless TARDIS scenes. A sure fire hit! In this podcast (guest-starring Melanie Clark), we explore that possibility, but with added card counting, math vs maths and civilisations wiped out by swimming pool Stonehenges. Roundels forever!

Time Ram 046: Sensorites and Sensibility

Time Ram 046: Sensorites and Sensibility

It's time for Benton's awfully big adventure in 'The Sensorites', previously starring William Hartnell, but now upgraded for Jon Pertwee! So that'll be 'The Thenthoriteth', then. In the process, we get all grown up and find out about sunk cost fallacies, the value of pointed sticks and what's so great about molybdenum. Although we also do an acapella season 8 soundtrack. Only on Time Ram!

Time Ram 045: Drashigs or Dishrags?

Time Ram 045: Drashigs or Dishrags?

We get taken back to the 1960s, with William Hartnell starring in 'Carnival of Monsters' (because this is Time Ram, and whatever Doctor you're thinking of, Jon Pertwee isn't it). Our dander's up as we define fan wank, enrage the Doctor and discuss the origin of the Macra. Now, is that a friendly Drashig or a man in a sack with prongs on?

Time Ram 044: Death Hat 2000

Time Ram 044: Death Hat 2000

Join Time Ram as we start a whole new life cycle with Peter Capaldi in "Doctor Who" - otherwise known as Paul McGann's The TV Movie! It's time to throw off all those boring old 'face' regenerations and become half-Scottish as we learn how to engineer black holes, destroy a time rotor and crawl fitfully towards the ad break. Who is the walrus? Goo goo g'choob!

Time Ram 043: Terror of the Crablikes

Time Ram 043: Terror of the Crablikes

It's Time (Ram) for us to gird our gas bladders and look at Tom Baker's 'The Macra Terror' (previously associated with Patrick Troughton)! This episode we join the Danger Gang, growl at K9's head and take part in some inappropriate dancing. But are we ready to finally settle that crab/snail argument? Only one way to find out...

Time Ram 042: Armageddon Comes to Milton Jeavons

Time Ram 042: Armageddon Comes to Milton Jeavons

It's The End of the World - but just the Doctor Who episode, which Time Ram now translates from the Christopher Eccleston to its rightful home in the Tom Baker era! We're now in the 70's, when people were natural and saggy, and no one did emotions yet. So who wants to be Sondergaard? Beau Bridges or Bo Derek? When can't you trust your staff with the off switch? And finally, please show us on this doll where Chris Chibnall touched you...

Time Ram 041: Torchwood and the Sad Omen

Time Ram 041: Torchwood and the Sad Omen

This Time Ram, we oversee Jon Pertwee's 'The Daemons', now re-jigged and adapted for David Tennant! Find out where the Doctor keeps his slides, what Jackie Tyler thinks of Tony Robinson and who's been knobbing the milkman* as we visit County Evil in the mid-noughties. And that's all before Yvonne Hartman orders us into the heat barrier!
*Listeners may not actually learn these things

Time Ram 040: Norwegian Wood

Time Ram 040: Norwegian Wood

We continue our examination of the Paul McGann era, and his ongoing search for his father Ulysses, with his 4th (5th? 22nd?) episode 'It Takes You Away'. Finally, we learn about what is canonical Norway, what constitutes too many Graces and how Rarks go on dates. We'll be kissing William Shatner in the Aunty Zone, and that should get your Spidey senses tingling.

Time Ram 039: Dirty Box from Space

Time Ram 039: Dirty Box from Space

Time Ram kicks off the Matt Smith era with his opening story, 'Spearhead from Space' (previously associated with Jon Pertwee) where we deal with various dilemmas, such as how to play with our twangers, getting to see Peter Wyngarde's face creases, what every NHS hospital needs, and whether we should feature gratuitous nudity or cross-dressing Time Lords. Perhaps most pertinently: how do we get Amy into this story? That'll be nice with a bit of salt and a few onions.

Time Ram 038: Drs Who and the Dalek

Time Ram 038: Drs Who and the Dalek

Sometimes Time Ram does something really silly. This time, we take the Peter Capaldi episode 'Twice Upon a Time' in which the tweflth Doctor meets the first Doctor and ram it into... the first Doctor, William Hartnell. Who now meets himself, coming out of 'The Tenth Planet'? No that doesn't work. Could this be another 'Good Man Goes to War'? Well, you'll have to listen to find out. It's 1966, Peter Capaldi is 6 years old, and we've definitively shown which production team is the maddest! Possibly.

Time Ram 037: The Arousing

Time Ram 037: The Arousing

This Time Ram, we're joined by our favourite mayor, Mr Adam Manning, to review 'The Awakening' - now starring Colin Baker! The Doctor and Peri land in a sleepy English village, in which they encounter some old friends and a surprising face from their future... Someone apparently due to make a return to the show! We also discover what was acceptable in the 80s, whose name fits the theme music, and what makes the scariest apparition? It's the episode that's sponsored by Jeyes Fluid! (Or would be, if we'd thought to ask them).

Time Ram 036: A Nugget of Purest Green

Time Ram 036: A Nugget of Purest Green

Finally, Time Ram extracts 'The Creature from the Pit' from the Tom Baker era, and puts it where it always belonged - the Peter Davison era! Written by the under-rated David Fisher, this serial presents us with a fascinating matriarchal society containing plenty of nuance and meaning. And then we add some knob gags. In the process, we ponder the eternal questions: what happens when Nyssa's batteries run down? How does Peter Davison communicate? How many famous people have we stood next to in urinals? It's time to use maths in our continuing efforts to get Helen Mirren to appear in this podcast!

Time Ram 035: The Mars Base (in Space)

Time Ram 035: The Mars Base (in Space)

This Time Ram, we collide fourth Doctor Tom Baker with Patrick Troughton's 'The Moonbase' and wait to see which Doc comes out on top! We also consider these vital questions: Moonbase Alpha or Moonbase 3? How do you wear a scarf in a spacesuit? What do Cybermen have against aerials? Where have all these crabs come from? We also get to consider Harry the gooseberry, Helene Merrien and the Green Cross Code Man. And is that Sam Becket? Hoo boy.

Time Ram 034: Which Witch is Which...??

Time Ram 034: Which Witch is Which...??

This week we investigate Paul McGann's 'The Witchfinders', in which he arrives in Salem to search for his father Ulysses, and has come prepared in his chameleon pants. We also discuss tense strumming, enspleening ahead of time and any number of unlikely guest stars. Charles Dance anyone? Don't mind if I do. We also mix up Helen Mirren with Robert Jewell, pursue the Evil Dead and mess up Grace's ballgown. It's William Shatner's Panty Party, and anyone who doesn't want to hear that must be dead inside!

Time Ram 033: Invasion of the Randoms

Time Ram 033: Invasion of the Randoms

The 'Cartmel Masterplan' takes yet another battering, as we re-jig the Tom Baker classic 'The Android Invasion' and insert it into the Sylvester McCoy era! It turns out that Yuri Crayford has been stranded in space through a sequence of events that makes the Kraal's plans look quite advanced. We also learn how much Mel screams, what a sudden fondness for ginger pop looks like, and what RTD's latest spin-off show will be. That's all before we get to the really big questions: so are these androids? And are they invading, or what?

Time Ram 032: Don't Shoot, I'm Half-Human on My Mother's Side

Time Ram 032: Don't Shoot, I'm Half-Human on My Mother's Side

Finally, Time Ram kicks off its own Paul McGann era, beginning with 'A Town Called Mercy', previously imagined for TV's Matt Smith. In the process, we have our first Time Ram three-way, ask an important question about Borusa, and find out what Hanson money buys. We also tackle those cybernetic pirates, the Cybs, and impersonate The Two Ronnies. Also: how much does Helen Mirren need the work? Featuring our special guest star, Black Archive writer Jon Arnold!

Time Ram 031: The Jewell Inside

Time Ram 031: The Jewell Inside

D'NER D'NER D'NER D'NER BATMAN!! In this episode, the first Doctor, William Hartnell, stars in the Peter Capaldi episode 'The Return of Doctor Mysterio' in proper sixties fashion! Although he probably doesn't meet Adam West. Or maybe he does? For this is Time Ram, and anything is possible. Literally anything. Hence we learn about the Doctor's special ring, join the campaign for Justice for Dodo and witness some brain-on-brain action. And also... is that a 10-foot tall Donald Pleasence?

Time Ram 030: Pyramids of Martha

Time Ram 030: Pyramids of Martha

This week, it's the turn of the Tom Baker classic, 'Pyramids of Mars'! Join us as we take the roof off, upgrade the paint work and sell it back to you as a racy little episode starring David Tennant! In the process, we may (or may not) learn what was Rupe's first memory of Doctor Who, what it is that Baz can believe, and where Paul's old family friend lived. How did Laurence and Marcus fall out? Who employs their own poacher? And what was Sutekh using his spare hand for? Keep your fast return switch properly maintained as we do the Time Ram again!

Time Ram 029: Excellence in Silver

Time Ram 029: Excellence in Silver

Let us take you back to 1985, and the opening of Doctor Who season 22 - Colin Baker's first full season in the role. And what better way to open than with that full-on Cyberman continuity-fest 'Nightmare in Silver'? (Otherwise known as "Neil Gaiman's Other One") Finally, the Time Ram team can focus on Peri's other career as a nanny, dressing for Time Bandits and being mistaken for Byker Grove. It's the episode where Rupe keeps on going until someone stops him, Baz obsesses over 'The Twin Dilemma' and Paul can no longer distinguish past from future!

Time Ram 28: Terry and Judoon

Time Ram 28: Terry and Judoon

In this episode, Time Ram takes Jodie Whittaker's 'Fugitive of the Judoon' and rams it into the Christopher Eccleston era... because we can, that's why! In the process, we investigate who is the most alien Doctor, which showrunner is pro-old ladies and what Bradley Walsh does in his spare time with Aridians. We also take some passive aggressive cakes and stick them down the Falcon Hole with Han Solo... because we can, that's why! We finish by avoiding oncoming narrative to do the watusi. Because... you get the idea. I know, I know, it's really serious.

Time Ram 027: The Naughty Cactus Wants a Shape

Time Ram 027: The Naughty Cactus Wants a Shape

Join us for an exciting journey with the 13th Doctor, "nicest person on the planet" Jodie Whittaker as she takes on a naughty cactus in 'Meglos'! Whether you're a Deon, a Savant or simply Meglostic, you can still enjoy Miriam Margolyes, Jimmy Nail, jungle hierarchies, learning to unfold the Unfolding Text, and establishing whether time loops are chronic or not! Has Chris listened to the voices this time? Who really hates vegetables? And how do you perform basic maintenance on a dodecahedron? The clues are all there, as we feature Helen Mirren's best guest role so far!

Time Ram 026: The Girls in the Fireplace

Time Ram 026: The Girls in the Fireplace

Finally, Jodie Whittaker's Doctor gets access to a fireplace and a chance to snog Mme de Pompadour! It's a chance to investigate the only woman she's ever loved (or not), the Three Universe theory of Doctor Who, Tom Baker's bad habits and the meaning of "cryptosexual". Who writes the most captions? Who would Rupert love to see as the Doctor? Is the Post Office the only thing holding the universe in check? It's Timey Wimey Oily Winey!

Time Ram 024: Sleep Nae Mare

Welcome to 1967, in which the second Doctor Who - Patrick Troughton - takes his companions to the moon for the first true Base-Under-Siege story: 'Sleep No More'. Time Ram wields a very sharp scalpel to uncover Ben's chain of sacrifice, James Bolam in an accent-off and the ever mysterious Heron Carvic. What is it like to be fingered by a Sandman? Can we invent a Ralph? And is that Schnorbitz hiding in the shadows? With at least 50% of this story missing, maybe we will never know... Also, Peter Capaldi gets a mention.

Time Ram 023: Saturday Super Stor

Time Ram 023: Saturday Super Stor

Join us as we examine 'The Invasion of Time', starring Peter Davison! In the process, we learn what happens when you get massive eggs, the fifth Doctor being menacing and Derek Deadman trying to be taken seriously. What does Mrs Borusa call him at night? Who is Gallifrey's interior designer? How difficult were Turlough's teenage years? And why is William Hartnell hitting that Samurai with his stick? Let's all do the Shoboggie-woggie and find out. Time Ram: now a proud member of the Direction Point network.

Time Ram 022: River Song and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamboat

Time Ram 022: River Song and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamboat

Join us as we go back to 1986 to explore the legendary 'Husbands of River Song' - but not as you've seen it! This time, we have Ernie the fastest milkman in the west, Prince Vultan, and Colin Baker just going along with it. And you thought River Song's story was complicated in the series as it stands! Now we deal with JNT vs comedy, the evil crew of the Hyperion IV, Magnex son of Magnox, Christopher Biggin's nice pouch and the Milton Johns/Colin Jeavons twins. It's a low bar for Damsel. Damsel?? DAMSEL??? In other news, we are pleased to have joined the Direction Point network! Check them out!

Time Ram 021: The Doctor's Nuclear Family

Time Ram 021: The Doctor's Nuclear Family

This time we are joined by the Mayor of Eastleigh himself, Mr Adam Manning, to help us investigate the mystery that is Matt Smith's 'The Doctor's Daughter'. Along the way, we stumble across several other mysteries associated with the episode: how did this actually get made? What exactly is Pek? What makes the perfect quicksand scene? And is there a way of getting River Song involved in all this? It's 'The Doctor's Daughter', but not as you've seen it! Which may be for the best.

Time Ram 020: The Abominable Dr Five

Time Ram 020: The Abominable Dr Five

This week we re-examine that Doctor Who standard, 'The Abominable Snowmen', which with our typically exquisite timing, we recorded before the animation came out! Yay for us. But that doesn't matter anymore, because as we now know, this story was made in the 1980s with Peter Davison, and is no longer missing!* So it's time to search the TARDIS trunk for that unidentifiable object, establish that this definitely isn't Heathrow and discuss the danger of the Pharos project. Join us as we play hide the ghanta, get pissed with JNT, and indulge in some slick bumbling, before setting off to catch a Yeti that we can skin and cook over a billabong. Whatever that is. There's nothing about it in my British Home Stores Book of Space...
* May actually still be missing.

Time Ram 019: The Jollity Patrol

Time Ram 019: The Jollity Patrol

This time (ram), special guest star Melanie Clark - international streamer and Who-fan - joins us to examine that Peter Capaldi phenomenon, 'The Happiness Patrol'. In this classic episode, the Doctor visits colony world Terra Alpha, where grumpy old gits are not welcome. Most of the Time Ram team would not last 2 seconds! So we keep our distance, and discuss extra-dimensional pockets, cheerleaders, classic sitcoms and The Chuckle Brothers. And maybe - just maybe -we'll get to see some factories destroyed. It's the one where Helen gets two fees!

Time Ram 018: The 'Tache Pirates

Time Ram 018: The 'Tache Pirates

We begin this episode with the premise that pirates are cool - but perhaps not these pirates... 'The Space Pirates' starring Tom Baker. Thankfully, none of that stops us doing gags about seamen and the poop deck! We also talk about this classic Doctor Who story, when not distracted by thoughts of Gerry Anderson, class war, staring at Acton and Victorian legs. Somewhere, there's a much more exciting adventure taking place with the V41-HI and Alpha Darts, but in the meantime, we're here with this very British Star Trek, which might actually be more fun than you think. It's better than being bored on Xeros.

Time Ram 017: The Bells of Allons-Y

Time Ram 017: The Bells of Allons-Y

In tonight's thought experiment, we feature David Tennant starring in 'The Bells of St John' and try to work out how different that would be. Suddenly it's 2008, which is longer ago than it feels, and instantly we're full of Standard Def Mockney goodness, trying to work out who could possibly replace Celia Imrie. Could it be...? Only one person, surely? Meanwhile, there's gherkins, potential Wilfred Mott, gags from 'City of Death' and that old RTD/Moffat debate. Who could possibly win? There's only one way to find out... FIGHT!

Time Ram 016: Cinema Veritas

This is Time Ram, currently number 14 on Feedspot's list of the top Doctor Who podcasts! This time, we discuss the episode 'Extremis', unexpectedly starring Jon Pertwee - and some other surprising names. In the process, we get to explore terrible impressions, actual physical harm, Not-Very-American actresses and the importance of firewalls. This is not a crazy conspiracy theory, this is Vatipute from Twin Peaks 1973! If all that wasn't enough, stick around for our special bonus section, where Friend-of-the-Podcast Adam Manning joins us to pay tribute to a television legend.

Time Ram 015: A Jolly Good Bottom

This time we feature William Hartnell starring in the Christopher Eccleston classic 'The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances', or as we must now call it: 'The Empty Child / Air Raid / Hospital of Fear / Volcano Day/ Unexploded Bomb / The Doctor Dances'. In the process, we learn what nanogenes are called in the 1960s, who starred in 'Maigret', what happened to Jack's squareness gun, and what Ian's hand thing is all about. Everybody lives! Probably.

Time Ram 014: The Sea Turloughs

Time Ram 014: The Sea Turloughs

This time, we examine the Peter Davison classic from 1984: 'The Sea Devils'. You remember it: the one where all those extras playing Sea Devils in heavy leather Samurai costumes drowned in the sea. The story in which the Doctor visits the Master in prison and finds him affable and friendly... No wait, this is the Ainley Master, isn't it? The story in which the Doctor visits the Master in prison and finds him as mad as a box of frogs. The one in which Tegan is a good and capable helpmeet. The one in which Turlough... what does Turlough do? What does Turlough ever do? Tune in and find out! Or not. That's equally likely, frankly.

Time Ram 013: Maggie and the Maggots

Join us as we discuss Sylvester McCoy's 'The Green Death', featuring Nick Berry, Alun Armstrong, John Woodvine and... Ken Dodd? Really? Are we going there? Apparently, we are. Also: Helen Mirren. In the process, we investigate giant maggots, Margaret Thatcher, brass rubbing, Fell's fall and dozens of single and double entendres. Ooh err missus! And yet... still we somehow fail to answer the most critical question of all: what happened to all those other creatures on Metebelis 3? Did the spiders just web 'em up and eat them?

Time Ram 012: No Pex Please, We're British

This is Time Ram, the podcast that randomly mashes up different eras of Doctor Who, and welcome to our latest episode: Paradise Towers as you've never imagined it! Transposed to the 1970s and the Tom Baker era, this is Paradise Towers with grimy locations, paddling pools, sanitised BBC future punks and Suzie Quattro. What would the rezzies be like in the Golden Age of Old Ladies? Would the BBC really be able to secure the services of Carrie Fisher? How old is that Kang at the back?  All this, and the fearsome Pex Brothers - coming soon, to a cineplex near you!

Time Ram 011: Mission to Department S

Time Ram 011: Mission to Department S

This time, Time Ram discusses the Jon Pertwee story 'Mission to the Unknown' - a famously colourful story, celebrating the glam and huge 'taches of mid-seventies Britain. It's the era of Jason King, open shirts, big medallions and endless smoking. Thrill to Alpha Centauri and the Giant Clams! Gasp at the thought that Terry Nation is still, somehow, trying to get his Dalek series off the ground! But will Mark Seven be involved? Probably not. Meanwhile, Doctor Who is producing its most star-studded episode ever...

Time Ram 010: The Professor, Ace and the Chase Through Space

This time, we examine Sylvester McCoy's 'The Chase', ably assisted by our special guest star: writer Jon Blum, of New Adventures and BBC Books fame! In the process, we learn about Doctor Who as sitcom, Terry Nation's thought processes, how to cast Larry Hagman and whether Ace attended Coal Hill School. We also get to meet Dalek Putey, and come down hard on the whole Marie/Mary debate. Most critically, just how much of 'The Chase' can we cut? All of it? Let's find out!

Time Ram 009: Nightmare of Fraxoie

Welcome to Time Giraffe! This time, we make sounds on the internet about the Matt Smith story 'Nightmare of Eden'. In the process, we learn that there is more to it than Z-grade monsters encountering a party of Gearon's pac-a-mac fans. No, this is an Empress and Hecate s***fest, featuring the return of Steven Berkoff and Time Ram favourite, Helen Mirren. There's Della doing stuff, Tryst's terrible accent and a deep message about the internet! Wipe your history, folks.

Time Ram 008: PEXIT!

This time, it's that legendary Matt Smith episode, The Curse of Peladon. "Curse" being the operative word, as we delve into Grun's limited vocabulary.  Yes, it's our 15-certificate episode, so be warned! For those who dare to proceed further, there's also Star Trek, Ed Sheeran, Crumhorns, medieval fire safety standards, Nigel Farage and a CG claw giving it some. Learn how Jo's IQ varies with skirt length and why King Peladon has no game. Join us as we confront the hermaphrodite hexapod in the room!

Time Ram 007: Christmas on Androzani

Time Ram 007: Christmas on Androzani

Our first regeneration story! In this episode, we discuss the classic final episode of the Peter Capaldi era from 25 December 2017: 'The Caves of Androzani'. Which just leaves us one dilemma - which companion is in this anyway? All we can agree on is Don't Kill Bill. After that, it's the Cheeky Girls, evil Christmas trees and gags about blowholes all the way. Well that's Time Ram for you, innit. Also starring: Derek Jacobi, Chris Addison and Helen Mirren. Always Helen Mirren.

Time Ram 006: Attack of the Hartnell

Time Ram 006: Attack of the Hartnell

Welcome to the vision that is William Hartnell in 'Attack of the Cybermen'. It's the "brand new" podcast episode that "may" or "may not" use "quotation fingers"! The podcast where we learn about that high level laziness that requires you to actually put a lot of effort in. In the meantime, we establish a new rule, Rupert writes some notes and we fantasize about becoming a hardened walnut. It's the space year 1985, and Ian and Barbara are finally about to get home - or are they? Could the Doctor really steer the TARDIS all along? And is it possible for our version of this story to be even more violent than the original?

Time Ram 005: A Good Man F***s Us Up

Time Ram 005: A Good Man F***s Us Up

Time Ram unleashes the cloister bell as we face our impossible mission: turning A Good Man Goes to War into a Patrick Troughton story! Find out what happens when a format we haven't given enough thought to turns around and bites us on the a***! Suddenly we find ourselves in a world of pervert scientists and hyper-babies, a cheap 2001 and craving the claw! A world of Monoids, Menoptra, Sensorites and Visians, where only the Meddling Monk can save us! As we move from Easy Yellow to Moderate Red Alert, open heart surgery begins to look simple. This can't be Time Ram... This must be Time Disease.

Time Ram 004: Freshwater Troughton of Mars

Time Ram 004: Freshwater Troughton of Mars

Forget Tennant, now we have Patrick Troughton starring in The Waters of Mars! 60 minutes of rapid action replaced by 6 mostly missing black and white episodes shot in Lime Grove D! It's foam not water! It's the Final End, not the Time Lord Victorious! It's Jamie, not Jiminy Cricket! Servo Servo not Gadget Gadget! Groggy not grubby! It's Louise Pajo, Graeme Harper muttering behind the director's back, Cliff Richard and giant bulbous heads and maybe... Ice Warriors? So close you can feel their fire! Or water. One of them.

Time Ram 003: Maximum Power of Three

Time Ram 003: Maximum Power of Three

This time we reimagine 'The Power of Three' from 2012 for the Tom Baker era. In the process, we learn who is the most unreliable Doctor Who guest star, whether the fourth Doctor enjoys domesticity, what sort of parties they had in the Seventies, the shady background of Brian Sullivan and what crafty Mogarians get up to. Things get less relevant as we work out what it would be like to live in the James Bond title sequence, and what sort of shop Grace Jones would own. Maximum Power!

Time Ram 001: Mummy and a Nice Tux on the Orient Express

Welcome to Time Ram, the new podcast that mashes together different eras of Doctor Who. In this first episode, we reimagine Peter Capaldi's 'Mummy on the Orient Express' as if it was made in the Colin Baker era. Does it work? Is it better? Can we get Colin to take off that terrible jacket? What were Jasper Carrott and Tomek Bork up to in 1986? And what happens to Peri if she loses her spleen?
