Shabbat Shalom and welcome to the Beit Zayit Messianic Congregation’s morning shabbat service. We are a group of Jews and Gentiles, who are one in Messiah. We call Jesus by his Hebrew name, Yeshua, a name meaning salvation. Yeshua was a Jewish rabbi that lived a Jewish life, a life that was free from sin. He taught and kept the Torah. We believe Yeshua is the son of David, the prophesied Messiah of Israel, and redeemer of the world. Our service begins with traditional liturgy and prayers; prayers that you can follow along with in copies of our siddur or you may also follow along with the words provided on the screens. After these prayers, we will transition into a time of worship, filled with meaningful Davidic dance and intimate musical songs of adoration and praise. This leads us to our Torah Service, where Congregants will read from the Torah, Haftarah, and the B’rit Chadashah portions of the Bible. Also, a short presentation will be given by a congregant, called a d’rash, . The Torah Service will be followed by some specific prayers and a teaching by a Beit Zayit leader. We extend a warm welcome to everyone who's visiting us in-person or watching online for the first time this morning. Whether you're just having a look, or are searching out for a place to worship, we're delighted to have you here. In-person visitors, please fill out a Kesher card that you'll be handed shortly. Kesher means connection. You can place these cards in the tzedachah box in the hall at the conclusion of the service. We'd love to stay in touch with you and let you know about upcoming events, Bible studies, and any other happenings going on here at BZMC. We meet at 465 Lee Highway in Verona Virginia at the Verona Community Center. If you are watching us online, consider visiting us in person. We’d love worshipping with you. Visit our website for more information at beitzayit.org. Enjoy the rest of your time with us, and may the Father give you His shalom (peace)!
