#61 When seasons of waiting draw on forever...
I've been in a season of waiting for 12 years now. Waiting for God to work in an area that seems He is being completely silent on. Can you relate? Today I share what others have encouraged me to do in my season of waiting and hope that you too will be encouraged to look at your waiting season from a different perspective and find a joy filled peace as you draw closer to God in the process.

#60 End the Legalism and Embrace Your Freedom in Christ
Christianity isn't about a religion. It's about a relationship that has been reconciled to God, through Jesus. Our primary motive for obeying the commands of Christ should be out of love, not duty, for God looks at the heart.
Most Important Note to take Away: Relationships are built on communication. Relationships are two-sided. You can not have an intimate relationship without both partys participating.

#59 You are Only as Strong as Your Core is... So Strengthen those Muscles!
During my last trail race I tripped and fell more times than I can count. This was very abnormal for me. I'm usually very surefooted on the trails. So during recovery I tested my fitness in hopes that I could figure out the culprit. I wasn't surprised to figure out what the problem was and it made sense that this same reason was the root issue behind my spiritual success as well.

Why? Because God has changed me over the last few years, especially over the last few months. He has strengthened my core in amazing ways.

Ep. #30 Don't Overcomplicate Your Devotional Quiet Time
Before I go out for a run, I always have on my mind, “What should I do for a warm up today?” It entirely depends on how my body feels as to what I may need to do.
This reminded me a lot of my devotional time for the last few years. I don’t have a set way I spend my time with God in the morning. It all depends on what I need that morning and where the Lord leads me.

MMM Ever said, "I got up on the wrong side of the bed."?
You know how we use the phase, “I think I got up on the wrong side of the bed.”? This is sometimes set by what we thought about as we went to bed or could possibly be a dream you had or an attack from the enemy, but it could also just simply be that your blood sugar is low and you need to eat.
Whatever the case is, you have the power through Christ to turn that around and set out on the right foot. You have the power through the Word of God to change your mood so that you can take charge of the day and set out on the right foot, or in this case, the right side of the bed!

Every time we go out for a run, we know we need to prioritize our warm up. It’s what gets our muscles ready for the work ahead so we are at a lesser risk of injury. What makes us think that running the Christian life is any different? The way you start your day carries over into the following hours, just as the way you start your run greatly determines how well your workout goes.

Ep. #28 Ever Said, "I Don't Have Time"? Try to say this instead...
I used to say this all the time when I first started running. “I don’t have time.”
However I started to have a mindset shift when I visited a widow one afternoon. She had a friend over and he said something I’ll never forget.
“You make time for what’s important to you.”
Join me in this week’s episode to learn what God taught me to do instead of saying “I Don’t Have Time.”

Ep. #26 Your Biggest Resource in Doing the Will of God
God gives us many blessings and gifts as we follow Him. Much of the time, it is different between each person because none of us are created the same. But there is one resource He gives us that is in the same quantity and measure as everyone else. Time. God gave each one of us 1,440 minutes in a single day. 525, 600 minutes in a year. What are we doing with it?
Join me in this week’s episode as I share how God has taught me to redeem the time starting with a simple realization.

Ep. #25 The Most Dangerous Characteristic a Human can Possess
This week I talk about one of the biggest things that a human struggles with, some stories from my personal life, and what has helped me to overcome this dangerous characteristic. Ep. #24 Stop Getting Injured! 3 Things You can Incorporate into Your Life to Minimize Injuries
Tip #1: Why are you getting injured? Figure out the root issue
·There are multiple reasons you can get injured and it is entirely up to you to experiment to see what the problem is.
Tip #2: Strengthen your Core, where all the injuries stem
We are only as strong as our Core. The stronger our core is, the easier and quicker it is to heal from an injury. AND to avoid injuries.
Tip #3: Get Rid of your ego
·If you haven’t seen a pattern yet in this series of the Three Frustrations of a Runner and How to Deal with Them, then you need to realize it now. Pride is a common characteristic among runners and constantly causes problems. Next week I’ll be talking more about this so keep your eyes peeled.

Ep. #22 - 3 Reasons Why you Might be Lacking Motivation
Motivation, as I’ve said before, is fleeting, just like our feelings. It comes and goes in the moment. Motivation could actually be easily classified as a feeling. It’s a good feeling that makes us want to get something done. Though there are many reasons why you may be lacking motivation, here are the top three that seem to be pretty common.
- Problem #1: Your Ego - Proverbs 16:18
- Problem #2: You Don’t have a Good Reason Why You Want to Run - Habakkuk 2:2
- Problem #3: You Keep Getting Injured - Romans 5:3-5
I love you and pray you have a blessed week as you seek our Lord!

MMM - Why Do You Run? 🤔
My reason for running has always been the same but I never would have been able to tell you straight up what it was. Only recently, after putting a bunch of puzzle pieces together, has it dawned on me why. I believe that running is something God has ingrained in my heart as part of what He called me to do on this earth. What about you? What has God ingrained in your heart so deep you've never been able to explain it?
"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." - Hebrews 13:5-7

Ep. #20 Gaining Motivation to Control our Thoughts by Looking at the Life of a Thistle Plant
Our thoughts control everything about our life. The way you are living now is because of what you've thought about in the past and also what you are thinking about now. So if you want to change your future, you must first learn to control your thoughts. But there is a more simple approach to do this than what we've been taught and it is a lot more enjoyable. In this episode I talk about what I've learned about our thoughts through the thistle plant and how to more effictively and easily (not quickly; nothing good is quick) remove the negative, untrue thoughts from your mind and completly transform your life, bringing joy and freedom that nothing else will.
