Episode 39: Road Trip - Biere de Femme Beer Festival
In this episode Ryan makes his not so triumphant return (he was doing the recording and he is also why this is a day late) as the guys head to Asheville and Highland Brewing for the third annual Biere de Femme Festival. Bierre de Femme benefits the Pink Boots Society and features beers brewed and spearheaded by women.
In this episode you will hear from Carol Waggeer from Bold Missy Brewery, Melissa Bruno from Mother Earth Brewing, our podcasting brethern Cheers Charlotte, and Richard Cox of Well Crafted. What you will not hear is the awesome intro the guys did that passionately made the case for more inclusion in craft beer and referenced King Arthur and Justice League. You may also get a little bit of baby Declan.
Besides our guests Between the Pints would like to thank the program director of one of the best public radio stations in the country, Joe Kendrick of WNCW, for the assist with the equipment.
Until next week, Slainte.

Short Pours: Folklore Brewing and Meadery
Aaron was in Alabama last week, and had the privilege of talking to Jeremy Pate of Folklore Brewery and Meadery in Dothan, Alabama. They talk family, small town life, old school homebrewing, and connecting the beers of today with the stories of yesteryear. Thanks for listening, and stay tuned for a SUPERSHOW coming soon as Ryan and Aaron record at the Biere de Femme festival in Asheville on March 2nd.
Between the Pints would like to thank Jeremy Pate for taking the time to hang out and chat, as well as the whole team at Folklore for making Dothan a place where craft beer is alive and spreading the good word of great beer!

Episode 37 - No Ryan, New Baby, Pink Boots and Biere de Femme
Ryan catches a bunch of strays as he welcomes a new craft beer drinker (in 21 years) to the world.
Aaron welcomes Mother Earth Brewing reprsentative, Melissa Bruno to the podcast to talk about the Pink Boots Society and Biere de Femme.
Pink Boots is a group of women in craft beer that seeks to promote diversity within the industry (brewing, sales, marketing, etc.) and Biere de Femme is the beer festival they have created that isn't like any beer festival in country. Biere de Femme is a rare beer festival with beers created and brewed by women and uses all the proceeds to pay for scholarships for women to gain access to different jobs within the industry.
Ryan will be back soon (the next espisode). He will talk about he and his wife's new small roommate (he eats a lot, but doesn't pay for anything). Now that the two babies are here, the podcast will return to its normal goofiness and hopefully a little more.

Short Pours - Colorado Springs
Aaron was somehow allowed to not only board a plane, but to even leave the state! Over the holiday season, he decided that the best gift that he could possibly give was to record from a few local Colorado breweries and to make some recommendations to you, our loyal (and likely drunk) listeners. Cheers!
A special thanks goes out to Bristol Brewing Company, Iron Bird Brewing, Colorado Mountain Brewing, BierWerks Brewery, and Ursula Brewery for being such good hosts.

Episode 25: Uncapped - Part 1 of Rating Sites - Safe Novelty
In the episode, besides the many tangents the Between the Pints has quickly become known for, they do manage to talk about Untappd, Beer Advocate and Rate Beer and how those sites are a part of a larger crowdsource movement that has changed not only craft beer reviews, but the way many of the things we enjoy for entertainment are critiqued. Basically, the guys try to figure out if these sites are Tools of Knowledge or Tools of Ignorance.
Also, Aaron declares that furries are OK and Ryan takes shots at right answers.

Episode 24: Session Beers with Rachael Hudson
