Getting "Twiskey" at the Sitzmark
Walk into the famous Sitzmark Club at The Alta Lodge and odds are you will find long-time bartender and our guest Dan Withey. Withey started his ski career avoiding rusty farm equipment while shredding the mighty slopes of Wisconsin. Then one fabled visit to Alta changed his life's trajectory for good. Now he's a legendary bartender at one of Alta's most famous après-ski bars and a pro skier with multiple magazine covers under his belt. Withey's ski bum tale is as old as time, with one small caveat...he actually made it. He also makes a mean "Boomerang" which will definitely warm you up and get your "twiskey."
Join us on this episode as we take a deep dive into his journey as a skier and bartender in one of North America's most popular resorts.

Pie at Après Ski...why Not?
When you are sitting on your porch in New Orleans watching the sunset and your wife asks you to, "turn the sunset into flavor," what do you do? In the case of Rob Sergent, you draw upon your family's moonshining background and do just that. Since that time his whiskey's have been nationally recognized. No slouch herself, Rob's wife, Sara currently distills the number 1 gin in the world. Together this husband and wife tandem make up Alpine Distilling. As if accolades for their spirits are not enough, they have also opened one of the most unique après-ski bars quite possibly in the country. The Alpine Pie Bar, located in the heart of Park City, Utah is serving up delicious home-baked pies with creative cocktails made with Alpine's award-winning spirits. The pie even comes with a slice of cheese. You may think you don't want pie post-ski day but when you walk into this speakeasy-style bar and order it up, you'll instantly realize you do.
Join us on this amazing episode as we take a deep dive into turning sunsets into whiskey, becoming a gin scholar, pie and cheese at après ski, using the divine ratio to distill and so much more.
