BFMD Episode 122 - Move the Runner Over
The Blue Jays lost to the Angels 7-5 in 11 innings last night and Justin and Patrick aren't happy about it.
In the first Justin led rant, he takes you through every situation last night starting in the bottom of the 7th inning in a 5-5 tie.
From the inability to move a runner from 2nd to 3rd base, to wasting 3 players for a 2-out walk and pick off, to questionable pitching changes the Jays had chances to win.
Now at 3-4 on the year, and with Springer likely out another week with a tight hammy, this team needs to start hitting.
Think we're wrong? Let us know what you think about last night's game and the team as a whole!
We do want to send our best wishes out to James Paxton who needs Tommy John Surgery. Get well soon Big Maple!

BFMD Episode 121 - Masterful Matz
After a 3-1 start for the Toronto Blue Jays, Justin and Patrick break down the series win against the Yankees and the win in the Rangers home opener.
Steven Matz was electric. Julian Merryweather is apparently the closer now, Jordan Romano and Ryan Borucki look scary good, and Rafael Dolis needs to get his sinker over for strikes.
Ryu was great on Opening day, Stripling got away with mistakes, and T.J. Zeuch earned another turn.
On offense, Vladdy and Grich Daddy are off to hot starts while Bo and Cavan are starting to heat up. Marcus Semien has been excellent with the bat and the glove and George Springer should be ready for the Home Opener!
The guys also talk All Star Game, Reds vs Cardinals, Yadi a Hall of Famer, and Lindor's big extension.
We'll be back Sunday night to break down the first "home" series against the Angels.

BFMD Episode 120 - Jays vs Yankees with Bobby Kay

Thanks again Bobby!

BFMD Episode 119 - 2021 Blue Jays Season Preview Show
Chris Henderson of Jays Journal returns to the show to join Justin and Patrick for a Blue Jays season preview discussion. The guys get heated discussing Nate Pearson's role of the team, confidence level in the rotation, lineup construction, the closer role, and season predictions for the team's record. Which of us has the Jays missing the playoffs?

BFMD Episode 118 - The Hurt Locker: Yates Gone, Springer Sidelined
After a horrifying 24 hours of Blue Jays injury news, Justin and Patrick sit down to dissect the situation and what it means for the team going forward.
Without their closer, who fills the 9th inning void? Will Springer and Ray be out long term? What does this mean for a rotation that already lost Nate Pearson?
With one week to go until Opening Day the guys give their opinions on who should earn the final roster spots. Has Josh Palacios passed Jonathan Davis, and will Trent Thornton snag a rotation spot?
This team is still VERY good but the injury bug is concerning. Stay tuned in the coming days for our next episode.

It's a jam packed episode of BFMD!
Robbie Ray and Steven Matz are making the Blue Jays look like geniuses so far this spring. Justin and Patrick break down their performances along with the rest of the Jays over the past 3 days.
Tanner Roark delivered a stinker, Trent Thornton had a strong debut, and Vladdy kept on hitting.
Jonathan Davis and Josh Palacios continue to battle for the 5th outfielder role, and Tim Mayza makes his case for a bullpen spot.
Mike Trout is wasted, Salvador Perez got paid, you can buy a suite for Bitcoin in Oakland, Cubs prospect caught with a bunch of meth, and Jack Leiter threw a 16 strikeout no-hitter for Vanderbilt.

BFMD Episode 116 - Our Bullpen is...Good?
Justin and Patrick are back with another episode!
Who needs umpires? Not the Giants and Indians.
Thomas Hatch left today's game with a right elbow injury. MRI coming but it didn't look good.
Charlie Montoyo's 2022 contract option was picked up meaning he will remain in charge for at least one more season beyond 2021.
T.J. Zeuch has a power sinker, Hyun-Jin Ryu is in mid-season form and the bullpen is looking like a huge strength.
We are TWO WEEKS from Opening Day! Get HYPE.

BFMD Episode 115 - Alek Manoah is a Bad Man
With less than three weeks to go until Opening Day the action is starting to heat up in Florida. Young prospects Alek Manoah and Simeon Woods Richardson continue to impress with Manoah striking out 7 Yankees in his start.
Alejandro Kirk is smashing baseballs while Robbie Ray and Steven Matz are raising confidence levels in the rotation.
Will this be Vladimir Guerrero Jr's breakout season?

BFMD Episode 114 - RoboUmp
As Spring Training nears the halfway mark, Justin and Patrick recap the past three Blue Jays games. Vladdy is hitting missiles, Roark & Matz look good, and the bullpen is in midseason form!
MLB announced several experimental rules for the minor leagues including larger bases in Triple-A, limited shifts in Double-A, step off rules in High-A, and RoboUmps in Low-A.

We have launched a website! www.bfmdpodcast.com.
Should Trent Thornton be considered for the 5th starter role?
Does Josh Palacios move past Jonathan Davis as 5th outfielder if he keeps up his strong play?
Did the Jays miss out on Jake Odorizzi?
How much leash does Elvis Luciano have this spring before he is sent to the minor league site?

BFMD Episode 112 - Down Goes Big Nate!
Nate Pearson has a grade 1 right groin strain. With no timetable for his return Ross Stripling may be next in line for the rotation.
Simeon Woods Richardson and Alex Manoah both tossed 2 scoreless innings against the Yankees in their Blue Jays spring debuts, and Rowdy Tellez continues to swing a hot bat.
Jonathan Davis reminded everyone that he is one of the best defenders in baseball against the Tigers, but only those in attendance were able to see the catch...
We'll be back to recap the weekend's games on Monday!

BFMD Episode 111 - Spring Has Sprung
Blue Jays baseball is back!

BFMD Episode 108 - This One's for Hammer
Justin recaps a flurry of news including Nolan Arenado being traded to St. Louis, the Jays signing Marcus Semien, trading for Steven Matz, and the empty Hall of Fame class.
The guys debate the likelihood of Nate Pearson seeing time in AAA, and go over some of the remaining free agent options for the starting rotation.
With 2 weeks left until Spring Training begins there are still a lot of questions swirling around where the Jays will play this year, who starts behind Ryu, and where does Vladdy play defensively?

BFMD Episode 107 - Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
George Springer is a Toronto Blue Jay.
Justin and Patrick are here to break down the franchise record deal of $150 million over 6 years.
Springer wasn't the only signing as the Jays also brought in former All Star closer Kirby Yates.
The Jays will now look to fill the remaining holes in the rotation and at third base.

BFMD Episode 106 - Close the Lindor
The Blue Jays didn't pull the trigger on Francisco Lindor. The Mets did.
Justin and Patrick discuss whether the Blue Jays made the right call and what this means for the remaining Free Agent class.
The Sugano sweepstakes ended with the Japanese star returning to Japan.
The guys also talk World Junior Hockey Championship and make NFL playoff predictions.
Happy New Year to all!

BFMD Episode 105 - Flying by the Seat of Our Pants
There continues to be little to no movement in the Free Agent market.
