Joshua: God gives Joshua direction to lead Israel to cross the Jordan. Rehab aids two sons of Nun in Jericho and is given a promise in return. Israel and the Ark cross the Jordan with a miraculous act of God.

Mark: Jesus shares three parables, of the winegrower and his son, the lawfulness of paying poll taxes to Caesar. and who will be the husband of a woman married seven times in heaven.

Leviticus 26-27, Mark 11:19-33
Leviticus: God promises a blessing for obedience to Israel that they will never need to worry for their well being as He will take care of all their needs in the promised land but for disobedience there will be severe consequences and they will be scattered until they repent.
Mark: The fig tree withers that Jesus had cursed. Jesus teaches His followers to forgive others as God has forgiven them and challenges the religious leaders to first answer Him when they ask by what authority He acts upon.

Matthew: The plot to kill Jesus begins and Judas looks to betray Him as the last passover is replaced when Jesus broke bread and drank the cup of wine instituting the Lord's Supper be done in remembrance of His broken body and shed blood given for the sins of many.

Exodus: God continues having Moses pronounce and pour out the plagues on Egypt as He has hardened Pharaoh's heart.

Pharaoh becomes exceedingly rich as everyone sold all they had because of the severity of the famine. Jacob blesses Joseph's sons as he prepares to die.
Matthew: Jesus exposes the hypocrisy and pride of the scribes and Pharisees as He gives the start of the eight woes upon them.

Genesis 43-45, Matthew 22:23-46
Genesis: Jacob's family returns to Egypt with Benjamin where Joseph again tests the brothers until he finally reveals himself to them. Afterward Joseph sends his brothers back to their father carrying gifts for them all.
Matthew: A dispute between the Sadducees and the Pharisees arrises and they ask Jesus to explain what will happen in heaven with wives of deceased husbands along with what the greatest commandment is.

Genesis 41-42, Matthew 22:1-22
Genesis: Upon being taken from prison to interpret Pharaoh's dreams Joseph is made a ruler in Egypt below Pharaoh due to his unmatched wisdom. Jacob sends Joseph's brothers to Egypt to buy grain due to the famine, they encounter Joseph who they no longer recognize and are tested by him.
Matthew 22:1-22 Jesus teaches the parable of the wedding feast and the Pharisees test Jesus over paying tribute to Caesar.

Genesis 39-40, Matthew 21:23-46
Genesis: Joseph known Egypt has great success followed by his false imprisonment where God uses him to interpret two dreams.
Matthew: Jesus teaches about how those in authority are to use their power correctly. Two parables are given, one of the two sons and the other of the landowner who sends finally his son.

Matthew: Jesus teaches divorce, allowing little children to come to Him and provides an answer to the rich young ruler on how to enter the kingdom of God.

Matthew: Jesus gives more instruction, calling for all to come to Him as little children with simple faith, of the lengths God will go to to save the one lost sheep as our good shepherd and of discipline and prayer.

Genesis 23-24, Matthew 17:1-28
Genesis: Abraham negotiates and purchases land to bury Sarah. Abraham sends his servant to the land of his relatives to take a wife for Isaac. Rebekah willingly returns and becomes Isaac's wife.
Matthew: The transfiguration of Jesus upon the mountain along with Elijah and Moses is witnessed by Peter, James and John who heard the voice of God pronounce "This is My beloved Son with whom I am well pleased."

Job 41-42, Matthew 16
Job: God gives a description of the leviathan to convince Job of his weakness before it and of God's power being mightier than all. Job humbly repents, his friends are corrected for their wrong view of God and is commanded to make sacrifices for them for pardon. Job is restored to twice his previous state.
Matthew: Jesus warns of the disciples of the destructive teachings of the pharisees. Peter identifies Jesus as The Messiah, Jesus agrees and acknowledges that He is The Messiah and must go to Jerusalem, suffer, die and be raised up on the 3rd day. Peter is blessed by Jesus and then rebuked. .

Elisha correctly vindicates all God does in justice as Job had questioned in his depression what good is being righteous if God treats the just and unjust the same. He has come out of that depression and recognized the truth, and his friends don't have a full picture of the severe persecution Job is under by Satan.

Job 32-33, Matthew 14
Job: Elihua, a young man who's been listening and thinking of himself as wiser and more righteous than Job and his friends is angered by what he's heard and is unable to hold back from speaking any longer, accuses Job of being wrong before God.
Matthew: John the Baptist is beheaded as a result of Herod speaking carelessly after John angered Herod's wife Herodias. Jesus hears the news about John the Baptist and withdraws but a crowd follows and he mercifully heals many and miraculously feeds 5,000 with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. Peter walks on water at Jesus' command.

Job 30-31, Matthew 13:31-58
Job: Job explains how humiliating his present state is with the pain and mocking. Then Job speaks of his integrity in all his way and fear before God.
Matthew: Jesus continues on speaking in parables about the mustard seed, leaven, hidden treasure and a costly pearl, all the things that have been hidden of the kingdom of heaven and of the ultimate value of our salvation rather than the things of the world. Setting our priorities right.

Job 28-29, Matthew 13:1-30
Job: Job tells of the difficulties acquiring earthly treasures and yet the search for wisdom is much harder and of more value than anything else. In his wisdom Job teaches his friends about the holiness of God and their arrogant speech toward himself, as he has honored God all his life.
Matthew: Jesus begins His teaching in parables and His disciples question why in parables rather than straight forward. Jesus explained that many are dull in seeing and hearing and won't understand until their hearts are completely surrendered to God, seeking only to know Him more deeply.

Job: sees he's become loathsome and a byword to everyone who knows him and that God has kept them from understanding in their hearts what is happening. Bildan falsely accuses and insults him. Job recognizes that God is his only hope and clings to God knowing that his Redeemer lives and continues to praise HIm.
Matthew: Jesus claims His deity, setting the standard for being a disciple of His as persecution will come to all those who follow Him. He calls all to endure to the end for our rewards are in heaven.

Job 14-16, Matthew 10:1-20
Job: speaks of how God holds our days in His hands while Elephaz presumes Job's guilt by condemning him as a bad man and that he is being punished by God as He does to bad men. Job counts his friends as worthless and waits upon God to release him from the hands of the wicked.
Matthew: Jesus, having chosen the twelve disciples, sent them out to heal and preach the kingdom of heaven to the men of Israel, to worry about nothing as God will meet all their needs and provide words for them to speak, teaching them to walk by faith and not by sight.

Job 11-13, Matthew 9:18-38
Job: Zophar, Job's friend condemns him thinking he's done something wicked but Job speaks of their misconception of God and the he trusts God will vindicate him.
Matthew: Jesus feeling compassion for the distressed and dispirited performs many miracles of healing those who have great faith in Him. The Pharisees account Jesus as healing those from demons by the ruler of the demons.

Job 8-10, Matthew 9:1-17
Job: Job is still maintaining his innocence while acknowledging God is good and just and that none can be completely right before Him, as his friend says God rewards the good.
Matthew: Wrapped in the calling of Matthew, Jesus shares parables calling for compassion rather than rigid systems of the law, being emptied of the old and made new just as old wine isn't put into new wineskins.

Job 5-7, Matthew 8:18-34
Job: Job even in depression and great despair while being used by God as an example as someone that will not deny Him as Satan tempts and torments him.
Matthew: Jesus goes into two storms, one with His disciples on the sea and the other when he healed two men from demons and the towns people rather than celebrating the witnessing of a miracle instead beg Him to leave.

Lot's wife is turned into a pillar of salt and his daughters get him drunk and have relations with him to continue this family line.

A detailed listing of all the groupings of people, tribes, cities and villages that volunteered to come back to Israel from Babylon and all their obligations is documented.

Nehemiah 9, Revelation 20
As the book of the Law continues being read the Israelites confess their sinfulness and God's faithfulness to them while haring their history laid before them.
Satan is bound for 1,000 years then freed, yet doomed. Those faithful to Jesus and the word of God reign with Christ for 1,000 years. All the dead are judged according to their deeds in the books. The devil is thrown into the lake of fire along with all the unfaithful that had ever died who were not in the book of life.
