Here We Go Again...Being Black
Though this episode was recorded prior to, we are now in the wake of a guilty verdict for the murder of George Perry Floyd. Yet, as we waited for the verdict, Ma’Khia Bryant called 911 for police assistance and ended up being a victim, shot and killed by a police officer in Columbus, OH.

She was shot within seconds of the officer exiting his vehicle.

There have been so many Black Lives that matter, killed by police officers in America, it is difficult to keep up and their lives have more value than a hashtag. “Here We Go Again…Being Black”. Black people are sick and tired. We ache. Though the guilty verdict was a historical victory in one battle there is so much more to do win the war. So, as we progress toward change what can we do as black women, wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, business owners and friends?

It's the Rest for Me!
Rest is part of the work and relaxation is part of the reward! Host TracyMac shares some of her own personal "hang-ups" that lead to practical "how-tos" when it comes to rest and relaxation. We hardly ever see many positive, public images of Black Women resting or relaxing. Society, the entertainment industry, the media, the workforce, and even our own culture seems to want us to believe we are supposed to be "on" 24/7 while everyone else rests. And most perceive rest as laziness when it comes to black women, who surely get tired mentally, spiritually, emotionally, financially, etc. and are most deserving of rest. After all, we’ve helped, supported and served everyone else. If we needed a sign to rest here it is. If we need permission to relax we give it to ourselves, now. Because that's what #SistaNistas do, unapologetically!
