Adam Christgau graduated with a Jazz degree from SUNY Purchase. He took private lessons there with John Riley and played mostly jazz gigs out of college. Before touring with Tegan & Sara Adam, he spent time out on the road with Sia, Brandon Flowers, Dispatch, Joshua Radin, Greg Holden, and others. Adam did a lot of jingle work for companies like Human Worldwide and Pirate in NYC. He has done session work for movies, including Beasts of the Southern Wild and a track on Great Gatsby (2013).
