BLB Podcast - 2022 Brick Lane Bookshop Short Story Prize winner, Imogen Fox
For episode 15 of the BLB Podcast, we spoke to Imogen Fox, winner of the 2022 Brick Lane Bookshop Short Story Prize. Imogen reads from her winning story Missy Starling and talks about how being funny is community, the intimacy of a hammer, the inspiring Nanny Flowers and the writers who changed her mind about short fiction.
She also offers advice for anyone entering this year's short story prize!
Imogen Fox is a fiction writer from Manchester. She has an MA in Creative and Life Writing from Goldsmiths College, where her portfolio piece, a short story called ‘The Swimming Pool’, won the Pat Kavanagh Prize. She is now working on developing this piece into a full-length novel.
