This week we dive into the many ways volunteers like Rick Hammerle make a difference in the Boone County community! Rick is the volunteer coordinator for the VITA and TCE programs that provide income tax assistance at the Lebanon and Thorntown Public Libraries. He also volunteers with the Shalom House, a Boone County nonprofit providing meals and sack lunches to adults and children who are food insecure. Rick also shares the many ways to get involved with the Megan Hammerle Memorial 5k, Random Acts of Kindness Day, and a memorial scholarship for Lebanon High School students to celebrate the memory of his daughter.
