Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships is in Delray Beach Florida this Friday for BKFC 38. The main event will see the debut of Daniel Straus against former BKFC champion Dat Nguyen. Straus has been to the top of the mountain as a two-time Bellator Featherweight world champion, overcome a motorcycle accident that nearly took his ability to walk, and throughout it never lost his desire to fight. At Fightworld MMA 28 will see Celine Haga returning to Albuquerque for a highly anticipated showdown with Amber Brown. A long time MMA practitioner Haga has trained around the world. "The Bully" will be squaring off with sneaky grappler Celine Haga in a bout that's been rumored to happen for several years. The fight was originally scheduled for November and the rebooking gives Ricci in her fourth UFC fight her first taste of a big crowd. The bright lights and the big stage are calling. February 23rd Katherine Renee Lindenmuth will have the biggest fight of her career debuting for Golden Boy Promotions against two-time world title challenger Lorraine Villalobos. This past September Lindenmuth went on the road for the first time as a professional learning many lessons from fighting Yadira Bustillos in Salt Lake City. Anthony Sanchez joins Mika Frankl for a conversation about his BKFC debut. At Knucklemania 3 Sanchez will rematch Derek Perez taking their rivalry from the cage to the ring. In August of 2021 Sanchez beat Daniel Arriaga in the first sanctioned Bare-Knuckle fight in New Mexico state history winning a School of Hard Knocks title.

Mika Frankl caught up with the BKFC Women’s Flyweight champion Christine “The Misfit” Ferea after the Knucklemania 3 press conference. During the press conference it was announced that Ferea will be facing a former WBC Boxing champion from Thailand who’s 2-0 in BKFC in a non-title bout. This will be consecutive fights for Ferea in the Land of Enchantment and she’s making a second home at Sanchez Brother Boxing. The further we get into “The Misfit’s” title reign were seeing more of her personality come out.

The first round knockout of Hideo Tokoro followed a first round knockout of Ryan Benoit at BKFC 28. Josh “Pitbull” Torres will get his 2023 gong by facing Todd Manuel in the co-main event of The Rumbel at Revel. Legacy Fighting Alliance returns to the land of 10,000 lakes this Friday for LFA 150. Duke City MMA’s Jalin Fuller will face the streaking, Scott Writz a fight that “The Gentleman” welcomes, as it’s taken quite the effort for him to find a willing dance partner. Kam is a dedicated driven individual running his own business and still getting to the gym every night. Not having fought in some time Kam has kept learning, been a coach and a corner giving him a front row seat to the continued evolution of the sport. This fight will be a different kind of challenge as Jumawan will be competing at the heaviest weight he ever has.

Between training sessions, I grabbed Valdez to reflect on his amateur run and find out about his passion for the sport. We also get into the approach Billy has taken at progressing at the sport. Chris Brown is heading into his 8th fight in the LFA. It will be his third main event in a row for the company. But this time the LAF welterweight title is on the LFA. At LFA 148 Brown will face Mexican Olympic wrestler Alfonso Leyva. The two are no strangers as Leyva spent his first six-months of training along side “Breezy the Future” at the JacksonWink Academy. Brown talks about what he remembers about Leyva and how he feels his game has grown. We also get into what Chris’s win over Haris Talundzic proved and how he felt about answering many doubters’ questions at LFA 141.  And of course, I need to know what winning the LFA title would mean to capture the LFA title.

The main event for Fightworld MMA 27 is a rematch 6-years in the making as Randy McCarty runs it back with Sidiah Parker. Over the last couple of years McCarty has been very active on the boxing scene and explains what’s the biggest adjustments he must make switching between the two sports. Six years is a long time, and “Wreck It” expects that this fight will be a different one as both have grown. And we find out how Randy’s game has improved over the last year.

This past March Freddy Sandoval on ten-days returned to the cage for the first time in more than twelve years at Bellator 276. With a full camp to prepare Sandoval will face Eric Mcconico Jr. at Freedom Fight Night 3 November 4th. The head coach at Sandoval Fight Systems for this camp Sandoval has let go of the reigns and went back to being a student. The mental side of MMA is a giant aspect of the game. We touch on confidence and what of performance would he be satisfied with.

The main event of Fury FC  71 will see Andres “The Bullet” Quintana against Nate “The Natural” Richardson. Mika Frankl caught up with “The Bullet” at Luttrell/Yee MMA & Fitness to talk about a whole list of things. At Fury FC 57 Quintana fell short of winning their Featherweight title accepting the fight with an opponent nearly 5 lbs. overweight. He also had to overcome a broken jaw that required two surgeries. We of course cover what is expected to happen November 6th when two high level strikers go to battle. Lastly, I find out why Andres is so dedicated to his craft.

UFC Fight Night this weekend Steve Garcia return to the Featherweight division for a meeting with Chase Hooper. The “Mean Machine” talks about everything leading up to UFC 274, getting acclimated to the time change, and it all led to his return to 145 lbs. Garcia a former Bantamweight also addresses getting used to fighting opponents taller than himself.
