How Do We Teach Critical Thinking?
Teaching skills effectively is an ongoing challenge for educators of all levels. A large part of the challenge stems from the confusion of defining the skill and determining what it actually looks like in the classroom. Critical thinking is no exception.
For this episode, the Communications by Design team of instructional coaches investigates how to teach critical thinking, presenting a series of strategies and ideas from educators doing just that and doing it well.
Our team works to support K-12 educators in instruction, technology, and more. We host Project-Based Learning training events, provide online courses on topics like how to teach skills, and provide direct, 1:1 coaching for educators anywhere (in-person or virtually). Find more about our services and resources at cbdconsulting.com/elevateedu

How can we motivate students?
Posing the question of what to do about the ongoing epidemic of under-motivated students, the Communications by Design team of instructional coaches posed the question to a number of compelling West Michigan educators. Listen to this concise treatise on leveraging powerful instructional strategies to re-engage and re-motivate students.

That experience has influenced David in several ways, both in the solidification and expansion of past and present thinking. Listen as David talks with Zach about the experience in the Netherlands and the impact it has and will continue to have on his work with students and other educators.
