110. Welp. I finally got it. Here's "The 5 Minute Rule" In Context

Friends! Podcast Fam. It finally happened. It’s crazy because, after three years of constantly trying to mold my life around my family and personal safety, that positive test finally came. And while the most challenging part was being away from my family for 14 days, I put the “5 Minute Rule” from season 5 into context. I'm not going to lie; the first 24 hours were TOUGH, but every day I kept getting remarkably better, and I honestly don’t attribute this to a supplement, a med, or what have you. But to habits and rituals surrounding the “5 Minute Rule,” where I focused on the first 5 minutes (each day) of my breathwork, nutrition, sunlight, activity, brain exercises, etc., and I’m happy to say that I’m coming out of it with so much more. So much so that I had to share. Stay safe, friends. It’s still very much in the world, and if you have questions about COVID, always great to have a chat with your medical professionals. Are you trying to level up in life, but don’t know how? I got you, let’s talk about systems of habits and rituals that help you to create a foundation of how you spend your time, and how to be proud of the progress that you’re making it.  We’ll do this through a weekly check in system that I personally use with my clients, so here are the different areas that you can begin building awareness and progress around. SLEEP: Start with creating a foundation of regularity (going to bed/waking up at the same time each day… My personal favorite is SleepCycle to track these trends Mental Health: Ask yourself these two questions weekly. In what ways am I making progress this week? What am I doing to NOT achieve the goal I desire? Activity (NEAT) - Try beginning with tracking your steps. What’s your baseline, and what is your overall goal? Are you strength training? How can you track this? E.g., closing rings, activity points, etc. Recovery -  Nutrition, hydration, etc. I like to help my clients with balancing their plate and then moving into the next phases. "Trophy Time" - measuring progress. With the aforementioned areas of progression, how are you taking note of that?
