Trey Sanders, aka @trey29_golf, joined Joe, Jeremy, and myself for some much-needed Ryder Cup talk.

We covered a wide range of topics. From the Ryder Cup swag. Joe chimes in about why anyone would purchase a Ryder Cup Golf bag. The clothes, the merch, ball markers, headcovers, and more. 

We talked about the course, the teams, the formats, and some daunting holes like the 645 Yard Par 5 11th and the 520 Yard Pa4 4 18th, perfectly titled DYEABOLICAL!

Coverage starts this Friday with the morning Foursomes followed by the afternoon Fourball. 

It's been three LONG years since Team USA fell in France, and we're hoping Captain Steve Stricker and his team are ready to hoist the Cup!

Thankfully, times have changed, and Mike has found a passion for a sport that he never imaged he'd be involved in not too long ago.  With his latest win at the Overseed Invitational, a Vegas Golf Network Tour tournament, Michael is beginning to add some accolades to his golf life. 

Had anyone asked him two years ago where he thought his "Golf Life" would have taken him, there's no way it would have been able to imagine his current situation. Golf continues to amaze us every single week, and Michael's story is yet another one that we're excited to share with everyone.

Yana Wilson and Ali Mulhall are two WILDLY talented golfers who will be making a name for themselves on the professional tour in a few short years, joined Joe and me for a quick interview about their time at Augusta for the Drive Chip & Putt, what they thought about the place and they settled to rumors about the Pimento and Cheese sandwiches.

It was a pleasure hosting them for this little interview; we loved hearing their stories and how they have grown up with the game. Also, a big thanks to Jim Wilson, Yana's father, for helping us make this happen!

There was a mighty big news story that broke over the weekend! Breakthrough Golf Technology, also known as BGT, agreed to sponsor the VGN Tour putting series the KING OF THE GREEN!! This was very exciting for us, and even more thrilling is we will have Blair Philips, the man behind the madness of the Stability Golf Shafts on the show in our interview series. That will air next week!

No Viva Las Vegas... Instead, it was an elongated DEEP THOUGHTS WITH STAT GUY

OK, maybe it wasn't deep thoughts and it was more of what everyone else is doing, a year wrap-up and stuff. We casually chatted about our highlights and lowlights of 2020. That was it for this week's show. Season 1 of The Weekly Walk has come to a close and next week, in 2021, Season 2 will officially kick-off as the PGA Tour makes its return. 

We'll have our locks for the week, talk in regards to Kapalua, and much more as we're ready to get the new year rolling! If you tuned in anytime in the last 23 weeks.

The in-studio guest barrage continues this week with an extraordinary guest. Former Tour Rep from Adams Golf, Aarik Greenley, joined us for some outstanding golf talk and insights. This is one you're going to want to bookmark and save; it's good! We also had our typical Weekly Walk segments. 

Tour talk was short and sweet. 

We wrapped up the QBD Shootout and also talked about the US Women's Open.  The PNC Event takes place this week, and ALL eyes will be on the team of Tiger Woods and his son Charlie. At least that's where all our eyes will be!

Viva Las Vegas 

We played a lot of golf this past week. Joe's took a walk around TPC Summerlin. The three of us played Cascata in some rather chilly, windy conditions. Joe and Jeremy played in the Sunday group out at Angel Park, and then Aarik and I played at Revere right before recording this. 

It was an absolute pleasure having Aarik over for the show. His insight and golf mind is a beautiful thing, and anytime I can play the role of a song and soak up some of that goodness, I jump at the opportunity.  You'll hear from his mellow candor he's a pretty "cool Cat" when it comes to golf. He has a sweet sexy AF smooth swing that absolutely sends the ball, and it's a blast anytime I get to spend with him out on the course. AND he helped me with a major alignment issue I was having, and I threw together a few good rounds while he was here! So thank you, Aarik, for coming and hanging with us! I can't wait to tee it up with you again!

BIG NEWS FOR LAS VEGAS GOLF!

I welcomed in a new co-host, Joe, from @hittingreens. We're starting a weekly show we're tentatively calling The Weekly Walk, where we discuss what's going on in the world of golf either from our escapades or things like the PGA Tour, World Ling Drive, PGA Shows, and wagering. 

In this first episode of The Weekly Walk, we talk about the 3M Championship, the upcoming WGC Event at TPC Southwind, our outing at Primm Valley GC as well as the SNGA Social Series we attended. 

Also, we introduced a new segment, where we each spotlight an Instagram account we've either found or have been a fan of for a while. We're calling it:

The Chasing Daylight Podcast

We sat down with Yo and @dr.rhoden before our Super Sunday tee time at the Las Vegas Country Club, and I got to see firsthand the beautiful mind of someone obsessed with the game, like Ryan and I are, it was a blast.

You can follow Yo on Instagram @ys.golf is his IG handle. We hope you enjoy this short cast. We plan to have Yo on again very shortly to wrap up his golf life and share some outstanding stories as well.

The first thing we did was to move the podcasting host over to Anchor. The changeover was a stressful situation, much like moving a website to a new host, but let me tell you I'm thrilled with what Anchor is going to be able to do for the show. I like to give a massive shout-out to BryanGolf for helping me understand the benefits of the hosting relocation.

The other thing we did was eliminate the social media channels, except for Facebook, for the show. There was just too much on my plate as far as the social media sites go, and if I'm honest, this is a production that falls under The Breakfast Ball umbrella. So we will be posting all the similar content that was on the Twitter and Instagram accounts, over on the Breakfast Ball social pages.

Other than that, nothing has changed. We've upgraded some equipment, and we'll now be able to bring you a better product, and hopefully, that will add to the growth of the show! All the episodes we have recorded are available where you've listened to them in the past, and we've added I think five other formats where you can listen to the show.

Thanks again for listening, we love what we're doing with the show and cannot wait to bring you all more content in 2020!

I can't thank Bryan enough for joining us. It's awesome to get together with people who are incredibly passionate about the industry, and who are doing their part to make the game of golf more enjoyable for others who play this game.
