One child has become severely wasted every minute of everyday since the beginning of this year. 

On Monday the 18th of July 2022 in Washington DC, USAID 's Administrator Samantha Power shared some steps the usaid is taking on the State of Global food security and Nutrition. Hosted by Eleanor Crook Foundation.

Increase in temperature and irregular rainfall is pushing rural farmers in Nigeria and Tunisia to malnutrition. This is a collaborative story on how climate change is resulting to poor yields and fueling malnutrition amongst farmers and their children. In 2018,28 autonomous communities in Imo State,Southeast Nigeria openly made a declaration against female genital mutilation. 2 years later one of the communities have succeeded in recording no case of female genital mutilation. With an estimated 19.9 million survivors,Nigeria has the third highest number of women and girls who have undergoneFGM worldwide. Conversations around mental health in Nigeria is usually fleeting and happens mostly when there's another death by suicide. Despite the importance of our mental health to our well being and productivity in the society the topic still wields stigma. This is why i decided to sound the alarm by sharing how young people are coping with mental illness, caring for their mental health and contributing to mental health awareness. 

With more stories on mental health, it will increase advocacy on access to mental health care in Nigeria. The need for this issue to be on the front burner is quite  personal. Let's sound the alarm!

After two webinars i attended on Global nutrition organized by ICFJ i began to wonder what determines what we cook or eat? For me it's mostly time, what food can i prepare quickly and is less stressful? You can already tell that i don't like to cook. This pushed me to have this conversation. SDG 3 is Good Health and well being and to achieve this the WHO s championing Universal Health Coverage and this means that everyone no matter where they are or who they are can access quality and affordable healthcare without sinking into poverty.
