Family Seasons Podcast Presents: Single Mom, I See You by Coach Teia
As a single mom, I am blessed, my children are blessed, and our home is blessed. I speak blessings and expect favor over my family. Words have power. These positive words of affirmation that I have spoken over my two daughters since birth, are being manifested in their lives daily.
I don’t have this attitude because everything is perfect or because my children are perfect, for we are imperfectly serving a perfect God. I understand that my words have power!
Recently, God downloaded a word for single mothers that I felt led to share on the podcast. These are intended to not just be words of actions but also words of actions.
I discuss the power of forgiveness, duplication, and implementation. Let’s change the trajectory of our children’s lives. Single mom, I see you!
Listen to this episode of Family Seasons Podcast if you are a single mom. I promise you, it will bless you and your family abundantly.

Remembering My Mom, Mildred Jones

The Favor of God is Incomparable and It Should be Inseparable with Coach Teia
Thank you so much for listening to Family Seasons Podcast. Today's podcast is to give parents hope and inspiration about the favor that is already upon their children's lives.
There's absolutely nothing that compares to the favor of God. And let the [gracious] favor of the Lord our God be on us (Psalms 90:17 AMP) The Bible.
When we have the favor of God, we have an advantage. We can expect God's blessings and promises to come to pass on our lives.
Listen to this podcast to learn how I began to activate that favor over my children.
As always, thank you for listening. Please visit www.familyseasonspodcast.com for the latest episodes.

How Gratitude Changes Everything with Coach Teia & Damian Dalcour

Gratitude in the Workplace with Coach Teia & Damian Dalcour

Gratitude in Relationships with Coach Teia & Damian Dalcour
Thank you for joining us for Season 13 as we continue talking about Gratitude. In this episode, my cohost and I discuss the importance of showing gratitude in our relationships.
Gratitude builds stronger relationships by creating an attitude of appreciation and respect. When there is a lack of gratefulness, there is also a lack of trust and honor. Relationships suffer when there is no gratitude.
Let's spend more time building relationships that practice gratitude daily.
Thanks so much for listening.

Building A Support Team with Coach Teia
Building a Support Team is often necessary if you're planning to do any great thing in life. Here are five tips that I use to help me in building the type of support system that I need as a single mom, a caregiver, a podcaster, a business owner, and so much more.
1. Be committed.
2. Pray for supporters and those who can bless your team.
3. Acknowledge God in all that you do.
4. Acknowledge your supporters.
5. Stay the course.
Listen to the podcast at www.familyseasonspodcast.com to hear me describe each one of these tips.

A Prayer & Psalms 91 for Women with Coach Teia
Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God
91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the [a]fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and [b]buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall [c]bear you up,
Lest you [d]dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will [e]set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With [f]long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

Season 12: Taking Care of You and Your Mental Health with Coach Teia
Thank you so much for your continued support for this podcast of sharing hope and inspiration to families. In Season 12, the focus is taking care of our mental health.
Stress continues to be one of the biggest challenges that many people face. We are often more stressed than we realize. By the time that we realize it just how stressed out we really are, our bodies have often already suffered in some way or another.
As a former caregiver for many, many years, I experienced stress and burnout. As a parent, I understand what it’s like to be overwhelmed. As a business owner, often the responsibilities can get overwhelming..I get it.
In season 12, I’ll share my personal experiences of how I had to learn to deal with everyday things by creating balance. I’ll share what that balance looks like for me. I’ll teach you how to define balance for you and your family. *Balance has to be individually designed by you as you learn to set priorities.
I’ll share the impact that stress and anxiety began to have on my life and what I did to release it. I’ll also invite guests to share their own experiences of taking care of themselves and the impact that it has made.

Seasons 11, Episode 5 - Overcoming False Accusations with Coach Teia & Damian Dalcour

Episode 4: Are You A Wife or Are You Wife Material? - Coach Teia & Damian Dalcour
Real talk...
She no longer classifies herself as "Wife Material", because she clearly understands that material is PARTIAL, not WHOLE. You don’t find a suit or a dress in the material section of a store, you find material in the material section. While that material has the potential to become a suit or a dress, it is merely potential, until it has gone through the process of becoming. When a woman classifies herself as “wife material”, what she is saying is that she has the potential to be a wife, but hasn’t been processed. What few women realize, is that the unmarried man who is seeking a wife, is looking for the woman who is ALREADY a wife (not literally), not the woman who has the potential to become a wife. Are you a wife, or are you wife material? - Damian
After reading this, I suggested to him that we should talk about on the podcast..and so here we did.
I’d love to know your thoughts on this topic. What makes a woman a wife, or wife material? Email us at info@coachteia.com to share your thoughts.
In the meantime, have a great day!

Season 8, Episode 2: There’s Freedom in Forgiveness with Coach Teia & Damian Dalcour
Personally, I recognize that unforgiveness leads to hatred, brokenness, despair, and so much more. It becomes heavy to carry the load of unforgiveness. I knew that in order for me to live a healthier life, I had to forgive.
God’s word teaches us that forgiveness is necessary in order to enter the kingdom. God knows that it’s sometimes hard, yet it’s a requirement to truly living a kingdom life.
“and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”
Ephesians 4:32 KJV
There’s freedom in forgiveness!

Parenting Strengths: Are You Leading By Example?
- Children are looking for someone or something to mimic. It’s their natural instinct.
- As their parent, you are there first role model. They are learning both directly and indirectly. They observe everything!
- Show them your scars. Let them hear some of your mistakes. Let them know about decisions you made that were not the best. You don’t want to be their idol, you’re human.
- Be who you want them to be.

Season 7: Parenting & The Power of The Push
That’s the same with parenting. Our responsibility is to teach our children to someday become independent, well-rounded adults. It starts when we push them out of their comfort zone and into their purpose. They’ll never know how well they can fly if we allow them to resist every thing they’re not comfortable doing.
We have to push them into the things that’s holding them back like fear, intimidation, disbelief, low self-esteem, etc.
Like the Eagle, we don’t push them to harm them. In fact, it’s our love for them that makes us take the initiative to do it.

Did you know that no matter how fancy or expensive a car is, if it’s on empty, it’s of no benefit to anyone? If you’re running on empty as a mom, dad, caretaker, entrepreneur, etc you have to find ways to replenish or refuel.
As you’ve heard many times before, you cannot pour from an empty glass. You can’t give what you don’t have.
Self Care is essential to managing your mental health. If you’re unable to function properly, you’ll find yourself operating at a disadvantage and dysfunctional. That helps no one in the long-run, especially those you love.
Listen to this Sunday Vibes as I discuss ways to care for yourself so that you can better care for others.
Take care of you! Coach Teia

There’s Power in Your Words by Coach Teia
Our words can build or they can destroy.
When we’re talking to our kids, it’s very important to remember that once something is said, it can’t be erased.
We can ask for forgiveness of something we said but unfortunately the damage has already been done.
As Bishop Jakes recently mentioned, a pen has no eraser.
For this reason, we must remember that words, both bad and good, are etched into the hearts and minds of our kids.
What we tell them is what they become.
What are you telling your kids?

Dealing With Healthy, Broken, and Toxic People
The other day I heard Bishop RC Blakes talking about the three types of men: healthy, broken, and toxic. I listened to his Instagram post several times. I even sent it to a few people. This message immediately made me think of not just men, but women also.
As a Family Life Coach, I see families and parents on a regular basis. I would say that these three categories are befitting of parents and other adults.
Healthy people want others to be healthy. They share and show their support.
Broken people have been hurt and are, unfortunately, still in that place of hurt. They've never gotten over the things that happened to them in their past. Sometimes, they can be loved back to health. Other times they are so broken that they become toxic. Broken people are challenging to love.
Toxic people are often broken people that never recovered. They were abused, not they are an abuser. They were hurt, now all they do is hurt.
Healthy, Broken, and Toxic..which are you?

Day 10 of 12 Days of Podcast: Seasonal Depression in Children with Coach Teia
As a parent, when are children are hurting, we hurt also. We want to take away the pain that they are going through. We tend to blame ourselves when in reality, some things are really not our fault at all.
In this podcast, I share my own story of being a mom and helping my daughters navigate through this pandemic and all the changes that they have been forced to make. Many children are dealing with depression because their schools have closed or they can no longer be with friends.
I hope that this podcast will help you as much as it helps me in both my professional and personal life.
As suggested, if you feel that your child is depressed or dealing with SAD, please reach out to their pediatrician or the Child Mind Institute at childmind.org.
You don't have to go through this alone and help is out there for your family.

Gratitude Changes Everything by Coach Teia
It has been said that gratitude brings a peace that is indescribable. 2020 has caused many of us to question whether there is truly anything to be grateful for. Many have lost jobs, our homes, loved ones, our financial security, and so much more as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our children have gone from attending a school building to taking virtual classes from the kitchen table.
Some once bragged on their overflowing pantries to waiting in line for hours at the food bank to feed the family.
2020 has been tough no doubt but in all of that, there are still so many things to be grateful for.
Listen to this podcast as I reflect on the things that we should still be grateful for. When we change our perception, we create peace that helps us get through these tough times.
Today, I challenge you to change your perception. When you decide to be grateful, it changes everything.

Finish Strong - SEASON 2 Finale
In a conversation with my daughter about the importance of finishing her homework assignments, it stayed in the back of my head that I needed to finish what I started.
During this season, I’ve had an opportunity to share so many topics that I hope have been relevant to my audience. We’ve talked about plant based diets, dealing with Covid-19, racism in America, and so much more.
We’ve dealt with the other effects of divorce and growing up fatherless. We’ve also had a conversation with a black father that wanted to share words of empowerment with other black men in America.
For Season 3, we’re going deeper. Stay tuned and whatever you started, remember to finish strong!

Growing Up As A Fatherless Daughter with Amanda Tento
After her parents divorced, Amanda was thrust into the middle of the ugly fight divorce often creates. Unfortunately, her innate desire to be a daddy’s girl was destroyed.
She loved spending quality time with him but sadly, she couldn’t anymore.
Amanda blames her mom for speaking such negative words about her dad to her. She also wondered if her dad could have fought harder to stay in her life.
For years, she saw him in the community but never communicated with him. She thought all things were well with him not being in her life until she grew up and realized the void that remained.
Today, her dad’s health has declined. The question is, has she made peace with him..and her mom? Listen to the podcast to find out.

A Black Mom, A White Mom - Different, Yet Alike with Cher Kretz
Cher and I have many similarities such as being in the field of serving families, being life coaches, and completely passionate about serving others. We both love our families and have similar religious beliefs. We’re fellow podcasters and love talking about everything related to life.
Cher is a white mom raising white daughters. I am black mom raising black daughters.
We live in two different parts of the country. We’ve never been to each other’s hometown but we both deal with the summer heat. In this episode, we talk about our differences yet we compare our similarities. We both agree that there’s much power in stepping out of our comfort zones to meet new people and to learn about different cultures and communities.
We both agree that Black Lives Matter too. We believe that all races should be treated equally, and we both agree that communication has healing power.
We both pray that the listeners of this podcast will be inspired to learn and grow from one another. We’re celebrating our similarities and learning from our differences.
Enjoy this conversation as two moms speak.

Talking To Your Kids About The Pandemic
The world as they know it has seemingly stopped without warning. The stores have closed. Schools are now closed so learning at home is the only option. Extracurricular activities that they were once involved in have all ceased.
They are probably asking questions. I believe that if a child is old enough to ask a question they should receive an age appropriate (or mental capacity) answer.
In this podcast I’m sharing ways to make this a learning opportunity that will benefit our children during this pandemic and in their everyday lives.
