3 Minutes Between Seasons (yes, Seasons! plural!!)
This is a quick 3 minute update of what happens next to Storytime With Managers.
---- Transcript ----
Hi, I’m Jennifer Tu, and earlier this year, I set out on an experiment: a podcast microseries that became Storytime with Managers. I’ve been having a lot of fun learning from my guests in this experiment.
If you’ve been listening to this series, it might not surprise you that there are 70 - that’s 7-0! - of you regular listeners. It was a big surprise to me though, and seeing those numbers was the encouragement I needed to start thinking about declaring this microseries our first season and starting a second season. We’ll be taking a few weeks off to plan out the next season and line up our guests. And maybe switch the release cadence to every other week instead of weekly?
Since we’re talking about a second season, that totally makes this podcast a real live thing. And that means I want to set goals for myself, so this remains an intentional act.
Goal #1 is kind of personal -- in Season 1, I talked with people who I knew and trusted, friends who were willing to help me out as I tried a scary new thing. In Season 2, I’m going to try to bring on at least one guest who I don’t already know. This might not sound like much, but it’s a big stretch for me!
Goal #2 is to increase the number of subscribers. I think if I reach a hundred subscribers by the end of Season #2, that’s probably a good indication that we should have a Season #3 - let me know what you think of that.
Finally, Goal #3 is -- can I blame this one on my business partner Zee? Let’s do that and we can credit him for the success, too. You might not know this about me -- I’m an executive and career coach. My clients are people who want to change something in their workplace. My executive coaching clients focus on change in their organizations, and my career coaching clients focus on change in themselves. If you’re inspired by this podcast to consider hiring me as a coach, that would be Goal #3.
You can do that -- or share your thoughts about our podcast -- by tweeting or DMing us @wecohere on Twitter.
Thanks for listening.
