Juniors are not needed and have never been?
Whatever. But what do I do as a fresh university graduate? ,
The audio listens much better with the text essay: https://www.communities.show .
Remember back in the teenage days when your best friend and you split for a summer and then in September you reunite with almost another person who you don’t know how to bond with? . .
Ideally professional bootcamps and courses should offer the transformation of a similar magnitude.

Do people go to conferences to get knowledge? Umm...no!
Reflecting on DevGAMM Vilnius and thinking aloud about technical conferences and the best ways of knowledge sharing.
The audio listens much better with the text essay: https://www.communities.show .
Lera and I go through different formats and think aloud about the best ways to convey knowledge and reflect on how we’re facilitating knowledge sharing at Gamedev Camp. We focus only on the junior talent but truth is, it is mid and senior talent who can afford to go to developer conferences that often cost 400 EUR and more to attend (yeah, travel and accommodation costs too).
Can they learn something?

30 minutes of raw founder therapy
5 honest questions my co-founder and myself ask each other after a year of working together. . The audio listens much better with the text essay: https://www.communities.show .
In today’s audio Lera brought 5 questions from a business coach and I brought 5 questions from a therapist:
What do you like about your work personality today and how did it change from a year ago What are the top 3 things you like about working with me? How do you defocus from work as you leave the office? When thinking about the future, what are you afraid of? We're very open and public about our feelings and emotions, why do you think we can do this? Most people can't unless they're drunk. And another five:
What annoys you in being a startup founder? What was the unexpected thing you learned upon becoming a startuper? Who inspires you? Reasons to not become a startup founder? How much do you earn?It is an easy listen, though a bit longer to make it up for the two skipped weeks this month.

How to feel accountable to everyone
And how to not get mad because of all that responsibility. The audio listens much better with the text essay: https://www.communities.show

Having a reason to get work done
How Lera and I recognize achievements differently. The audio listens much better with the text essay: https://www.communities.show

How comedians and philosophers will save the world
And how business coaches are really just overpriced therapists.

How to make friends in real life
Do you introduce yourself as a human or as a logo on your company t-shirt? .
This is a playbook on how I build emotional connections and relations with people.
How to make friends in real life? Find what is interesting about yourself and the human you just met. Now how to build industry connections as a professional? This is what the audio diary is about. And here’s the playbook. The usual “what is on the cover” explainer.
Pros and cons of getting out of the office
My work is to create networks, connect people, build relations and sort of feel the center of the universe, from the external observer position. I have already learned how to benefit from random people being around me and how to facilitate and create opportunities for our business. .
In this audio diary, Lera and I take on how I see networking and events as tools to achieve business goals. Call it social engineering or a scam or business development or human relations. .

Using the Viète theorem to resolve life
Business books don't work when the world is changing this fast. We take another approach to our startup.
The world used to be global and rather simple. It is not anymore. People got more mindful after the pandemic and two years of self-reflection (…and the divorce), they're bullshit-resistant and are generally tired of online.

Why people want to live in Vilnius
The capital of Lithuania became home to many Belarusians and Ukrainians, fleeing wars. How do they feel and what do they see?
Today’s audio diary with Lera is a surprising reflection after a year of living here. Both of us didn’t dream of living here, but it ended up working surprisingly well for us, in very different manners.

Як ти? How are you? 💙💛
This audio is an emotional journey, a non-representative example of how to live with war and suffering in your backyard. We didn’t hide, we didn’t move on, we decided to live with it and stay sane, help others. The pain doesn’t go away, but at least we found a reason to be beyond the two weeks until “the life goes back to normal”. .
