LEGENDARY Sydney United goalkeeper DANIJEL NIZIC was a special guest on episode #48 of the Oz Cro Soccer Show podcast, where he talked about his club's progression through to the Round of 16 of the Australia Cup. He also made a major bombshell announcement about his own playing future! NPL Victoria Commentator and Analyst MARK IVKOVIC also joined us to talk about the latest news surrounding the proposed National Second Division (NSD), the Melbourne Knights' huge Australia Cup clash with Brisbane Lions at Knights Stadium on Thursday, as well as the likely scenario affecting the Croatian clubs in NPL1 and NPL2 in Victoria.... OUR very special guest on this week's episode of the Oz Cro Soccer Show was the vice-president of St Albans Dinamo Soccer Club, JOHN BILOS.

He spoke about the Heartbeat of Football health activation held at the club last Friday night, the Game Changer certification the club has achieved - one of the few Croatian community backed clubs in Australia to have been awarded the certification and also the fact that Dinamo is one of only a few Victorian clubs that will be involved as flag bearers for the FIFA Women's World Cup in Melbourne.

We also caught up with all the latest news from Croatia ahead of this weekend's season opening HNL Super Cup clash between the eternal rivals, Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split at the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb.

FORMER Melbourne Victory and legendary Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper, IVAN KELAVA, joined us this week on the Oz Cro Soccer Show podcast, all the way from the Croatian capital of Zagreb.

He spoke about his thoughts on the 'Vatreni' and their performance at the Euro Nations' League Final, Australian football and his ex-club Melbourne Victory, the growing number of young Aussie Croat footballers migrating to Croatia to play football as well as find out what he's been up to since returning to Croatia.

We were also joined by MILE BERETIN, a Sydneysider who is a fanatical supporter of the 'Vatreni'.

He attended both the Euro Nations' League semi final and final matches in Rotterdam and is currently holidaying in Croatia.

He spoke about his experiences in the Netherlands and also provided some exclusive video footage from both match days...

AHEAD of Friday night's blockbuster NPL Victoria Croatian Derby clash between the Melbourne Knights FC and St Albans Saints SC at Knights Stadium, in this week's Oz Cro Soccer Show we brought you a special preview of the big Round 14 clash.

Tarasenko, whose mother is Croatian and hails from Newcastle in NSW, spoke about his Croatian adventures and his desire to play at a higher level in Croatia as well as provide some timely advice for talented young Aussie Croat footballers wanting to make it in Europe via Croatia.

Added to that, we took a comprehensive look at all the Australian Croatian clubs and how they went last weekend, as well as what happened overseas in Croatia including the amazing scenes at the Croatian Futsal League semi-final in Zagreb between Futsal Dinamo and Novo Vrijeme Makarska.

'Aussie Joe' played 105 times for the Croatian national team. Starting as a junior with Canberra Croatia, he played 369 matches in his senior club career starting in Australia with the Melbourne Knights then Germany and finally Croatia with Dinamo Zagreb.

Dubbed the 'Minister for Defence', in recognition of his status as an uncompromising defender in the Croatian national team squad, Simunic has been the assistant senior team Croatian coach and the under 19s head coach.

THIS week's special guests on Episode #34 of the Oz Cro Soccer Show included the co-coaches of the Australian Croatian U14 Boys' Select squad that last week took part in the 'Tournament of Croatian Defenders' in Vukovar, Croatia.

We chatted with PETAR MARKOVIC from Sydney and JOSIP LONCARIC from Melbourne about their recent trip to Croatia and how the concept was born and the idea realised in less than six weeks. Also, the plans for next year's trip to Croatia.

We also took a look at the historical UEFA Youth Champions' League Final between Croatia's Hajduk Split, which featured Aussie Croat NOA SKOKO, and the victorious Dutch side AZ Alkmar. There was footage of an interview that Noa had with Hajduk Digital TV.

ON THE Season #2 opening episode of the Oz Cro Soccer Show, Sydney Croatian community icon Ante Grabovac was introduced as Tonci Prusac's co-host for 2023. We also crossed LIVE to Elcho Park in Geelong for the Australia Cup Round 4 clash between North Geelong Warriors FC and Altona City. Injured first team player NICK KOZDRA was our one the ground correspondent. We were also joined by St Albans Saints SC Junior CoOrdinator STJEPAN GAL who spoke about his club's very successful I&D Day, which attracted all five Victorian Croatian clubs to Churchill Reserve for a special Junior's pre-season event last Saturday. Last, but not least, we were joined by Melbourne Knights president PAVE JUSUP, who spoke about his club's big 70th Birthday Bash on the 10th of April (Easter Monday) at Knights Stadium, when sister club North Geelong and the Knights do battle in the NPL Victoria competition.
