Man and Moon by Siena Marilyn Ledger runs October 21-November 13, 2022 at the Madison Street Theater in Oak Park, Illinois. This production is a collaboration between 16th Street Theater NFP, Dragonfly Theatre Company and Chicago Dramatists. This special episode features the creative team -- or "villages" -- who united to bring this beautiful play to life. Hear Connie Kuntz interview the playwright as well as director Hayley Procacci, actors Peter Wilde and Clare Wols, microbiologist Heather Minges Wols, Chicago Dramatists own artistic director Carson Becker, 16th Street Theater NFP's interim artistic director Jean Gottlieb and Dragonfly Theatre Company's co-artistic Director Omar Fernandez. Get to know these artists and theatre companies, their backgrounds, their missions and a little bit about what it takes to "put on a show."

Kate Blair is a dancer who lives and works in Rockford, IL. Get to know a little bit about her background, training and philosophy in this 7-minute episode. Then come see her dance to Nina Simone's song "22nd Century" with Nicole Rundall-Royal and Emily Klonicki at the #RockfordFringe.

Alyse Dionne is a Chicago actor who will be performing in the 10-minute romantic comedy Lady Balls by Allison Fradkin. Get to know a little bit about what drew her to the role and hear a sample of what she does for fun. (Hint: Cockney!) Then...come see her at the #RockfordFringe.

Schann Stewart is a comedy jazz artist from Freeport. She moved to northern Illinois from Nebraska in 2020. Find out why and learn a little bit about her background and her hopes for the future. Then, come see her perform live at the Rockford Fringe Festival on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from Noon to 6:00 p.m. in Rockford's Walker Park; 1500 Myott Avenue. The Fringe will take place rain or shine so consider wearing sunscreen, a hat or bringing an umbrella. This is a free event and is open to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for sitting. Pack a picnic, snacks, water. The #RockfordFringe is an environmentally friendly event so if you pack it in, be sure to pack it out. We don't want to leave the park with even a hint of litter. 

Robbie Ellis is a multitalented comedy songmaker from Chicago and he'll be kicking off the Rockford Fringe Festival with his original comedy songs. Hear samples of his music and a little bit about his background in this 8-minute podcast episode. Then, come see him perform live on Saturday, July 9, 2022. He'll kick off the Fringe at Noon and you don't want to miss him. You don't want to miss any of it! It's a free rain or shine event that's open to the public and it lasts until 6:00 p.m. Bring your own chair and picnic and remember: If you pack it in, you'll need to pack it out. The #RockfordFringe is a free, environmentally friendly event and we want to leave the park without a trace of litter.

SigFreed's Nathan Sill and Max Saladar talk about the creativity and efficiency of parkour, share some of their favorite spots to explore and say what they hope to achieve at the #RockfordFringe. 

Poet Gerri Hood tells Connie Kuntz a little bit about the challenges she's overcome, some of the friends she's made and how her "blue" poetry is actually fun.

Rebecca Ann Carver is hosting the Rockford Fringe Festival on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Walker Park in Rockford, Illinois from Noon-6:00 p.m. In this seven-minute podcast with Connie Kuntz, Rebecca shares what she does for work and fun, and how hosting the #RockfordFringe is a little bit like gardening. 

The ever-evolving Rockford poet and performance artist Christopher D. Sims talks with Connie Kuntz about his unique craft and his reasons for performing at the #RockfordFringe. Check out this fun, five-and-a-half minute interview that samples Sims' song, "Timeless."  If you'd like to perform at the Fringe, the deadline to submit is June 10.
