43: Don't Bombard Your Audience With Needless Information

Let’s get physical! Today we’re going to talk about the physical parts of your offer- i.e. anything tangible (think workbooks, swag, meal plans, etc) but also the modules of your digital courses. Essentially, anything that the client gains access to after they purchase your offer.

But how much emphasis should you be placing on those tangible things in your sales copy? What should you be highlighting on your sales page and in your sales emails to emphasize the big picture results you’re promising?

In this episode, we’re going to take a closer look at:

  • Why knowing your audience is critical
  • How taking into account their past experiences can help you in your offer

Becoming more familiar with your audience helps you know exactly what parts of your offer you need to emphasize to get them to buy. Remember: you’re selling a possibility, and you don’t need to clutter that up with endless lists of all the things your clients will get. The desired transformation will look different for every customer, so paint them a broader picture, and let them fill in their own blanks.

40: What Copy You Actually Need for Your Launch

Launching an offer takes a lot of thought, planning, energy, and…copy! This may come as a surprise to you, or you may already know and are looking for tips.  Either way, this episode is a great resource that covers all the launch copy you will need, as you get ready to put your offer out there to the world.

Taking time and care to write strong copy for your launch allows you to get your message across, connect with your audience, and help close sales on autopilot. For that reason, this is something you want to plan out carefully and have a solid understanding of as you plan your launch in general.

The specifics I discuss on this episode are:

  • Pre-Launch Event Copy

  • Copy as a Part of Your Launch Planning Process

This list of must-have launch copy items isn’t meant to intimidate you - in fact, I’m putting it out there for the opposite reason! It’s my hope that it will serve to help you be better prepared and to really squeeze the most value possible out of your exciting offer.

37: Crafting Launch Messaging that Hooks Your Audience

In our first episode of 2022, I’m starting a series of episodes that discuss all things offers and launches.

With a new year upon us, I know that you have amazing and exciting ideas that you want to put into action for your business. To do that, you need to get clear on your launch messaging in order to speak directly to your dream buyers and to make sales.

Getting clear on our messaging and making it as specific as possible for your unique offer will make a world of difference when it comes to reaching your audience, giving them all the right information, and making major leaps in revenue.

The specifics I discuss on this episode are:

  • Brand Messaging vs. Launch Messaging
  • Reconnecting With Your Brand Messaging
  • The Offer Itself
  • Your Launch Strategy
  • Who Your Dream Buyer Is
  • Objections and Hesitations
  • Consider the Relaunch Aspect

There are a LOT of different aspects that feed into effective offer messaging, and it’s important that you cover them all to maximize your success with any launch. This episode provides a high-level overview of what to understand about your offer before you dive into the messaging aspect, which comes even before your sales copy.

26: Why We NEED to Talk About Problems in Sales Copy

In this episode, I’ll be covering why, contrary to popular belief, pain points are STILL important to address in your sales copy.  There are many people who think avoiding pain points is the recipe for success, but I believe it’s imperative to cover them in your copy.

Connection-driven copy is what will convert readers into customers, and effectively covering pain points in your copy can really help you achieve this. I’m making a case for weaving empathy into pain points in your copy in order to build trust with your audience.

Here are a few topics I cover:

  • Addressing Pain Points Correctly
  • Heaven vs. Hell Messaging
  • Thinking of Pain Points as Salt
  • Problems vs. Pain Points
  • Using Empathy Surrounding Pain Points

I hope that this episode provides insight into why it’s so important to cover the pain points of your customers in your sales copy. Ignoring these is a huge mistake. And without addressing pain points, you’ll miss out on building trust with your audience. This can leave them feeling unheard and unseen.
