When communicating with others I expect respectful honest and clear communication from others, and I expect myself to communicate in the same way. if you feel your boundaries have been crossed, be sure to check your list of language boundaries. 2. When in the company of others, I expect my personal space to be safe and respected. Please ask before touching me or invading my space. If you need more clarification, please see my list of boundaries. 3. When I accept you as a friend or a loved one you were expected to take great care of yourself and me. This means not putting me or my loved ones in an unsafe or compromising position. If you need more information, please see my list of boundaries on Section 3. 4. I expect you to respect my time if you want to be in my life, you will honor our time together. You will offer adequate notice when cancelling plans and make sure that you nurture our time together. If you need more examples of what respectful time management looks like, please see my list of boundaries in Section 4. 5. I expect you to treat my personal belongings and my body with respect. I know that you will treat me with love and kindness you will refer to my boundary list if you are unsure. You can find this in Section 5. CONSEQUENCE If I feel that you have placed these boundaries at risk or have over- stepped outside of my comfort zone, we will need to be apart for one week. During this week we will both assess and review the boundaries that have been crossed. I will address whether it is valuable for us to move forward in any type of relationship. If in the week you continue to push or disrespect these terms; I will terminate correspondence immediately. I will not break my own terms; nor will I forgive a person who chooses to sabotage a relationship with me during this week of introspection. If you choose to form an outside relationship during this week of introspection, I will assume you have decided to conclude our agreement. I will not forgive this breach of confidence; you will be excused from all terms and will never be contacted again. Last but not least we will discuss what happens when the challenging person decides to disrespect our boundaries and doesn't much care about the consequences we are then forced to do some much more difficult choices. 3 TRICKS WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS: REFLECTION: RE framing the challenging persons beliefs and pointing it back at them for their own introspection as a way of making sure we don't take that in and we push it right back where it belongs. CUT ALL TIES: Regardless of what you stand to lose in assets you stand to lose more in your integrity by continuing communication. GET FAR away and block this person on all platforms and notify authorities if necessary. PULL A Gandhi: Which simply means to do the enlightened and spiritual choice, don’t fight even when you know you are right. Pick your battles wisely, they might create their own trap by being hateful but you do not need to go down with them. Karma is real, don’t speak ill of them, let your spirit rise with unconditional love.

META FILM PROJECT is a multi-year, multi-media film project based in various neighborhoods in and around Louisville, KY. This short film will feature a wide range of art forms, focusing on street art, architecture, and local business throughout the city. Tied together with interviews of community artists, this collection of short films will feature the similarities and differences in many art forms and challenges preconceived ideas; making room for connection and knowledge. The artists, locations, and artwork will feature the unique diversity and engagement of the Louisville arts community, and promote empathy for the transformative and the healing power of the arts to revitalize communities through mentorship, artistic collaboration and exploration. During my unique five years of exploration as a Content Creator, I’ve felt the gestation and miscarriage of many creative seeds. I’m honored and excited to introduce my overdue baby. This project has fertilized my imagination and wreaked havoc on my emotions; I've guessed and 2nd guessed millions of  times, wanting only the best for my treasured offspring. Naming it and renaming it, trying to locate the perfect image too let it stand out. Considering all of the best directions for it's perfect growth, envisioning how it will be a leader in an ocean of competition. Overcorrecting what was already perfect; the way a mother can't help …but wishes she could. Fierce and Protective like a mother to her child, I’ve learned what it is to be a brave creator in an unpleasant environment. This project is an extension of me; composed of my best attributes.  Giving fearlessly and encouraging others to look deeply; promoting a more beautiful and sustainable world. My baby's name is, META and she wants to show the world beauty, she wants to serve as a link between the dark and a light, bridging a gap and promoting truth. I've nourished her like a baby, I've lost sleep and put my body through the wringer, giving up on all the things that made my previous life fun, because I needed a way to make an imprint I choose META as my legacy. Parenting provides a legacy and helps us become worth remembering. META is my offering to the world, meant to uplift and to enrich and continue to grow and expand. Like all protective parents, I want full custody and claim on META’s progress but thoughtfully and respectfully I want her to mature and gain the ability to self- sustain. Like all great parents, I've been thoughtful and calculated in the foundation I've set. With appropriate community support and  funding META will thrive; growing wings and sustaining future creatives who strive to make the world more livable through tolerance and creativity. Through lose and alienation, I’ve learned several important lessons regarding harvesting untapped potential. Firstly: We owe ourselves creative incubation time. Don’t Rush a great Product. Secondly: Finding a safe and stable environment is impossible if you Analyze Data. -Best to push forward without all questions answered – Intuition can be a creator’s best gift. Thirdly: Discomfort and Pain are part of the Creation Process: Balancing your role as “parent” and learning to “let go” are lessons that continue to evolve and require love and attention as your creation grows. We're all the scientist we are all the teacher we are all the student we are all the experiment. You are the actor, dancer, director, scenic designer, makeup artist,  lighting designer, stage manager, producer, writer, choreographer, costumer , makeup artist, poet, of your own theatrical experience. Your audience lives within you as does your applause. You can create a comedy or a tragedy the choice is yours. The problem IS the solution. There is no tension or resistance other than that which you create. So please take a step back and give yourself the credit you deserve. If you have tremendous amounts of pain and strife; well, you must have needed this to propel your learning journey. As anyone who has studied history, philosophy, or the ARTS; we have long used performance and storytelling to not just entertain but to tell the story of our current circumstances. Your art, your story …then becomes a mirrored reflection of your current circumstance. It is quite nice to see our work up on a stage or a screen, a published book for the masses to digest, an art installation for the public to witness. Perhaps for others to examine and learn from. Have you ever considered why you need others to validate your work or your feelings? Have you ever considered what motivates your art? If you are a truth seeker, I call on you to closely examine your motives. Are you lying to yourself? We live in a time were our involvement and our participation with certain platforms and products is used against our true character; because many of us have no idea what we have agreed to. Have you read the fine print of the make-up you endorse or considered who is making it? Have you allowed yourself to become engulfed by chasing followers before understanding what makes a leader? Social Media Influencers and Highly paid celebrities have blinded us from the truth of what lays in plain sight and yet we refuse to see it; because it makes our lives much more challenging. Each time we say yes to selling or supporting a cause or product that we have not researched; we advocate LIES and denial.  Someone asks how our day is, and we say WE ARE GREAT, when we're not. We tell our partners everything's fine when we're miserable.  Why are you lying? What purpose does it serve; saying the opposite of what you truly feel? Perhaps saying nothing would be more truthful…because in the end, the asker of these questions has trained us to give them what they want. LIES. Are we going to stay puppets to the “masters”? With a strong aptitude for learning instruments by ear, he includes a wide variety of small household instruments like toy piano, xylophone, flute, tabla, and glockenspiel in his bedroom recordings, but generally builds his songs around his soothing voice and a lone acoustic guitar. Barnes picked up his first guitar at age 11, and began sharpening his skills in family jam sessions with his father, who had played in a band that opened for the Doors and the Beach Boys, and his big brother. At 15, Barnes began playing around Louisville, KY, with a few bands. Around the time he was 18, after being inspired by the imagery of Songs of Leonard Cohen and other emotionally provocative artists like Low, Tom Waits, and Gillian Welch, Barnes created a demo with the hopes of making music that was akin to a comforting dream. He shopped his homemade CD around to a handful of labels and then went off to play some shows with After the Panic. When he returned, he received a response from Brian John Mitchell at Silber. In 2003, before Barnes was 20, Silber released his lo-fi debut album, The Fallen Acrobat, which he had recorded in his bedroom over the course of a year. In 2006, Barnes followed his debut with the more complex and rewarding Honey from the Ribcage. This release displayed a more orchestrated and personal approach to songwriting, with underlying tones of questioned spirituality and distress. "Second Guess My Own" illustrates how he lost several years of his life due to a memory loss, and "Red Prescription" is about his battle with the prescription drugs that caused that memory loss. Here, his lyrics often act as a diary tracking his fears and life-altering events, simultaneously drawing parallels to the biblical story of Samson. After this record, Barnes relocated to the Sonablast label; The Recalibrated Heart, a fuller album that continued to follow his spiritual journey into the intimate realms of self-produced bedroom recording, arrived in 2007.

Mom and I had a convo about control issues and I was able to tap into her need to control things by pulling us out of the dialogue about what needed to be controlled… a said I felt like the fence… it pulled her viewpoint from looking at the control dynamics between the two of us and offered her a less personal perspective. Gail Benedict received her B.F.A. in Theatre and Dance from the California Institute of the Arts; earning  her M.F.A. in Directing and Choreography from the University of Louisville.  Ms. Benedict danced with several renowned modern and ballet companies in San Francisco and Los Angeles before beginning her Broadway Musical Theatre career in New York City as assistant choreographer to her mentor, Donald McKayle.  She spent more than twenty years performing leading roles in Broadway shows, film, television, national/international tours and Music Videos while continually studying with all the most respected acting, voice and dance instructors in the world.  Before relocating to Louisville to work at Actors’ Theatre she spent six years assisting Bob Fosse and recreating his international hit show, Dancin’. She continues to direct, choreograph, perform and teach professionally throughout the United States and recently retired as the chair of the nationally recognized Musical Theatre Program at the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, Kentucky.
