Martin Lang is a leading player in the post-war amplified Blues style, honed over twenty-five years behind the legendary Chicago Bluesman Taildragger. The Altered Five Blues Band is SMOKIN' HOT!!!!!  I knew it the second I heard them open up at the 2022 Rotary Blues Festival this past August.  I was in the second row and this band blew me away.  As soon as their set was over I was contacting their management to get them as guests on my show.  This is an episode you will not want to miss, especially if you love the BLUES!!!!!

Nashville based Celtic/folk group The Deer's Cry released their newest album Heal the Heart in 2022.  Karen Ballew plays harp, sings lead vocals and writes for the group.  We have a wonderful discussion about Celtic music in Nashville and learn there is a lot of music styles in Nashville going on other than Country music!!!  We also talk about her work with the choral groups ANUNA, The Preludio Choir and Nashville's Portara Ensemble.
