But, here is what we can know: the only ONE who can live up to the expectation is God! And so, we pray and wait in hope and expectation. We expect God to move in our lives, in the lives of others and in our church. We expect God to speak. We expect God to make dead things alive. We expect to see prodigals come home. We expect God to change us because of His Word. We expect God to do BIG things in our church this year! Expectation! He’s good, and He’s good for it! So, don’t lower your expectations of God; raise them and join us in a year of EXPECTATION.

Gold is difficult to locate and even harder to extract from the earth and because of this fact, it is extremely valuable. The Bible says there is something even more valuable than a precious metal or a costly jewel. The thing that people should be valuing is wisdom. Our culture is bankrupt on wisdom. The world offers us counterfeit wisdom in every aspect of our lives. It’s time to dig deeper and find the wisdom offered to us by God Himself. It’s time to stop falling for fool’s gold and demand the real stuff.
