Idle Words

Idle Words

We look into the power of our words according to Jesus in Mat 12:36-37: "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned"

God used the word to create the world. The word we speak has so much power that they can justify or condemn us here on earth and in the last days.

Free From Sin and Law

Free From Sin and Law

The Bible says in Col 2:13-14 that Jesus has quickened (raised us up) together with him when we were dead in our sins and uncircumcision. This means he has given us victory over sins and laws working against us when he (quickened) raised us up and made us to sit together with him.

Know that you have been delivered and set free from every (besetting) sin you are currently struggling with in your life right now. You already have the victory over every negative laws from your family lineage, system, tribe, government, and so on working against you and preventing from experiencing victory and freedom in your life. But if you don't confess and appropriate this freedom, the enemy will attempt to keep you under servitude, but indeed, you are free, the Son of God has set you free, and "If the Son has therefore set you free, you are free INDEED." it's time you claim your freedom over sin and the negative laws that has bound you.

"And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses" (Col 2:13-14).

Loose your Donkey

Loose your Donkey

In Mat 21:1-3, Jesus instructed his disciples to go bring a cult that would take him on his triumphal entry. He told them if the donkey is tied, they should loose it, and if anyone asked them why they were loosing or taking the donkey away, they should tell them, the Lord has need of it.

The donkey is the means that would take Jesus to his destiny. What is your donkey? Do you know it and where it is? Is it tied down somewhere? Who is questioning why you are loosing it?

This morning devotion helps you to pray through these questions so that you can locate your donkey, loose it, and shut the mouth of anyone questioning your authority loosing the donkey.

We have his eyes and ears

We have his eyes and ears

Bible Verse and Quote for Today:

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? (1Pet 3:12-13).

It’s comforting to know that God's eyes watches over us and he listens to our prayers despite our unrighteousness.

Sometimes, we don’t feel it and we fall into condemnation from our heart or from the enemy because of our sins and shortcomings. But the Holy Spirit does not condemn us, he convicts us so that we can repent, confess, and ask for forgiveness.

Our righteousness is not dependent on our good deeds but the righteousness of Jesus. It’s an imputational righteousness based on his justification, and this sanctifies us, and puts us in “right standing” before God.

Because we are right standing before God, he watches over us, to protect, guide, and direct us. He watches over our household and everything about us. He listens to our prayers, our thoughts, our sighings. He loves us that much.

Let us come boldly to his throne with this confidence knowing that he loves and cares for us.

True Blessing

True Blessing

What is true blessing?

Many have been misled by what some leaders have misrepresented to them as true blessing. Many believers have been fed with the wrong narrative and have been sucked into believing that they are not blessed because they don't have these things. Material things, money, positions, etc, hardly qualify as blessing when it does not come from God or serve God's purpose.

So what is true blessing?

In this devotional, the speakers highlights a few of these blessings and how to recognize, and possess them. Happy listening!

Isa 41:10-13

(10)  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

(11)  Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.

(12)  Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

(13)  For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

The Miraculous in the Ridiculous

The Miraculous in the Ridiculous

Text: 1Cor 2:14: "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

One of the things of the spirit that sounds foolish to the "natural man" to accept or receive is to praise God in the midst of the storm.

It sounds so ridiculous because it is the time of great displacement for many, where people run helter-skelter and justifiably so.

But the Bible is full of situations and circumstances where God requests people who are in the eye of the storm to do ridiculous things.

More often than not, what usually follows after the obedience to do the ridiculous is always the miraculous. But it is difficult for people "the natural man," or Christians whose faith is weak to receive such message while in the midst of the storm. However, if you do not do the ridiculous, you may not get the miraculous.

Listen to this morning devotion about the miraculous in the ridiculous.

Sufficient and Overflow

Sufficient and Overflow

As you set out today, run with this Bible verse in 2Cor 9:8: "And God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause"

This means, the Lord will bring resources: human, material, spiritual, financial, etc., so that you will have:

1. Sufficient: enough for yourself

2. Overflow: to share with others

3. Good Cause: to begin something of benefit to your community.

All in Jesus' name.

A Greater Covenant

A Greater Covenant

Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites. And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.) Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD? And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you. And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel, Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them.

But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD'S oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul. (2Sa 21:1-7).

The Power of Resurrection

The Power of Resurrection

Php 3:10: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.

Despite Paul knew Jesus, he still said he wanted to know him. This knowing is about knowing that special power that could raise a man from the dead. If you haven't encountered that power, you really haven't known him yet. Knowing him means also knowing the power that raised him from the dead and also experiencing the blessing of his sufferings on the cross.

Write Your Psalm

Write Your Psalm

Let us reflect the blessings of God in our lives for the outgoing month.

What better way to do that than to hear from David. A man who knew how to give thanks and praise to God on every occasion

Let’s read from Psalm 103.

David begins by saying in Psa 103:1-2: "Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits"

It’s a reminder for all of us to also take time reflect on the past months.

The blessings, provisions, protection, mercies, and kindness of God.

How would you THANK the Lord for his kindness to you and your household in the month of March?

Many did not survive. So many evils yet God is faithful to us and our household.

As we come to the end of the month of March today, think on:

Many dangers the Lord shielded you from Many arrows the Lord protected you from Many complications, lies of the enemy, judgments, evil report, etc,

God has been faithful to you, your home, your health, family, children, parents, everything.

Take time to appreciate him for all this.

Let’s look at how David did it.

Psa 103:3-5:  Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

-       Forgiveness: Who forgiveth all thineiniquities;

-       Health: Who healeth all thy diseases;

-       Death: Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;

-       Blessing: Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

-       Provisions: Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Sing a song of thanksgiving and praise from your heart to God this morning.

What we call the Psalm of David is actually a song, a poem, a rendition, etc.

You also hear “the song of Solomon.”

You also sing a song to him today.

Write something down and say, Lord, I thank you for watching over my and my home…

The God of Your Situation

The God of Your Situation

In Psalm 18:25-26, the Psalmist says, "With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward."

What this means is that God will manifest himself to you in the situation your present yourself to him.

So, if you present yourself as poor, or weary, strong, dying, or happy, he will present himself just like that. i.e. you will see him that way.
Paul says in 2Cor 13:11: "Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you."

God is called several names in the Bible, God of comfort, God of joy, God of peace, God of mercies, God of vengeance, God of glory, God of grace, and so on. He is also God of vengeance, God of war, etc. He is the God of your situation. If you come to God with comfort, peace, joy, he will be the God of comfort, peace, joy, and so on to you. If you come to him as the God of solution, that is what he will be to you. If you approach him as a fearful God that can kill and destroy, he will appear to you and deal with you as such.

Paul says if you "farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace," God will manifest himself exactly like the God of those things to you. It is important to know how we approach God because that is what he will present himself to us.
Some people approach God with complaint and murmuring. God hates murmuring. He was ready to eradicate Israel for murmuring against Moses. He in fact destroyed and crushed Israel for murmuring and that was why we are warned not murmur in 1Cor 10:10: "Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer."

Let us learn to approach God with the right mindset even if we are passing through a terrible situation. Life and death are in our tongue, and our mind is so powerful it reflects and mirror God to us in the way we present our situation to him. That is why the Bible says "let the weak say I am strong and let the poor say I am rich". Every time we approach God, let us pray the solution and not the problem. Let us magnify God and the solution, not magnify our situation as if we are looking for pity. It's OK to cry and shed tears in prayer but we must understand that God is not an emotional God; he does not watch over our tears, even though they are precious to him but he watches over his words in our mouth and how our heart trusts him (Jer 1:12).

Hannah kept praying for several years for a child but her prayer was full of complaints of how others were treating her and how desperate she needed a child to show to people she was not a barren. She got nothing until she changed her prayer to praying the solution rather than pray the problem. Let us learn to say more about what we want than what we are passing through. Even though we see it as the reality, our minds interprets it as murmuring and lack of faith, and without faith, we cannot get anything  from God. Talk more about the solutions, not the problem. Confess. Believe. Have a positive mindset. All these will strengthen your faith to receive from God.

Don't mourn over your situation, rather talk to it. Jesus told his disciples, "if you shall say to this mountain..." We are called to call things that are not as if they are, and they will be, that is faith. Stop dressing your situation, start to address it. Call it the name you want them to be and that is what they will be.

The Prayer of Quickening

The Prayer of Quickening

Psa 143:11: Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

Quickening may sound like an old King James word and may obscure the true meaning, the power of the word and prayer of David. But when we break it down, it will begin to dawn on us that it is the prayer we need ourselves.

Here is an exposition of what the word mean and how to pray it with application not only to our life, but our body, health, and home.

Keep Standing and Keep Moving

Keep Standing and Keep Moving

We need God’s power to keep standing and keep moving even when we feel like giving up.

In 1Kings 19:1-4: Prophet Elijah just performed a mighty miracle by engaging the prophet of Baal in a contest and defeated them. But despite the great achievement, he feared for his life when Jezebel, the prophetess of Baal threatened to kill him. He became so weary, tired and frustrated that he retreated into the wilderness and abandoned his servant. The Bible records that, "...when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers."

You may also be weary, tired, and feel like giving up just like Elijah. Or may be there's a Jezebel threatening, frustrating, making your life a living hell. Your Jezebel could be system, debt, financial issue, health, family, spiritual or something more personal, all you need is to do what Elijah did that restored him.

Let there be… Deploying Biblical Code to Activate Situation Change

Let there be… Deploying Biblical Code to Activate Situation Change

Text: Mat 12:35: A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

We can know the type of person you are by the quality of words you speak. i.e. the type of words that come out of your mouth is a window to know what is in your heart.

During provocation, what words are you most likely to respond with?

When we understand the power and dynamics of words, we will begin to use it for a good purpose.

Pro_18:21  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

What does this mean? All deaths!!! All lifes!!! Begins with words!!!

All deaths and lifes begins with Words from your own mouth.

What you say about yourself matter more than what others speak or say about you.

Jesus asked his disciple: What do people say about me? Who do people think I am? He then asked them, “What do YOU say about me? YOU matter more than them.

What you say about yourself matter more than what others speak or say about you.

In Genesis, God said, “let there be…”

It was what God said that transformed the situation not what the situation present.

Before he said “let there be…” what happened?

How was the earth?

Gen 1:2: And the earth was:

- without - form, and - void;

- and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

But God said in Gen 1:3, “Let there be light: and there was light”

Let there be and there was.

Have you ever said something like that when you are in the same situation?

To many of us, Gen 1vs describes our lives is without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

There is nothing that happened to you, or you are passing through that God never passed through. His whole creations was in darkness, void and was formless

And he was God How can you be God when things are in disarray!

But he responded with “Let there be and there was…”

The difference is the approach and what you say about your situation.

While God said, let there be light, you are saying something else.

Some people are saying, they are dying… I’m in trouble…. Will I ever make it…. This is bad!

Your subconscious mind does not understand what you mean and what you don’t mean.

All he is looking for is what you are saying…

Pro_6:2 says Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

Another translation says, you are trapped by your own words, and caught by your own words,

What you say are so powerful. It’s a creation.

Understand that.

Every word you say is a creation.

You are a creator. Imagine that for a second!

Again life and death is in your tongue!

Except and until you change your approach to the issue and your situation, it will not change.

Changing your approach begins with changing your perception and mindset about the situation.

May be you are telling me it’s because I don’t know your situation…

That’s right… I don’t…. but whatever situation you are at right now, this is what the Bible says…

1Cor 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Can your situation change?

Well. God asked a man of God the same questions:

Eze 37:1-3: The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

Can you answer that question in your life?

What is the source code of your mountain?...

Prepare for the Harvest: Answering the who, what, why, how, and when questions about biblical sowing and reaping.

Prepare for the Harvest: Answering the who, what, why, how, and when questions about biblical sowing and reaping.

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:38).

Some people think that giving means losing something, but as Christians, we know that giving is actually a window to receive. Giving itself is one of the greatest blessings we can receive.

Just like any other laws of God, the way to be great is to be small, the way to be a leader is to be a servant. The way to live is to die, the way to receive is to give.

Who Should You Give to?

-       First to God. Give thanks, praises, worship, adoration, offering to your God. He deserves it. “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness” (Psa29:2).

-       Give to the household of Faith. Paul says, “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith” (Gal6:10).

-       Give to your spouse, children, family members, loved ones, friends, colleagues, neighbors, co-workers, even yourself. Pro3:27 says, “Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.”

-       Give to those in need; widows, orphans, the poor, etc. Pro 19:17 says, “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world” (Jas 1:27).

What Can You Give?

Give thanks to God as if you are giving him something physical.

Be intentional with it.

Give money, encouragement, appreciation, and so on.

Give your time, presence, ears, etc.

Be sincere with it.

Be a candle. One candle can light a thousand candles without losing its own light or shine.

The Blessing of Giving

Aside from the fact that giving gives us a deep sense of satisfaction and contentment, it is also a way God uses to bless us. Act20:35 says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Remember, whatever you give will come back to you in “good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over.” Paul says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Gal 6:7).

Also, don’t forget that “with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”

So, give bountifully, so you’d give bountifully. If you give sparingly, you will receive bountifully (2Cor 9:6). It’s like what the writer of the book of Ecclesiastes says, “Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days” (Ecc 11:1).

The Law of Sowing and Reaping

One thing is sure, when you give, you will always receive, it is a law! That is why you should give every time you have the opportunity to give. It’s like sowing.

You may find it a bit difficult to sow at the beginning, but the joy is when the harvest comes. Yield to the wisdom of Ecclesiastes that says, “In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good” (Ecc 11:6).

This is what the book of Proverbs has to say, “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.  The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself” (Pro 11:24-25).

It is the planting season, it is time to give, for the harvest is coming.

Prepare for a bountiful harvest – be generous!

Start giving today!

Prepare for the Harvest.

Praise Your Way Through the Gates

Praise Your Way Through the Gates

Psa 100:4: "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name."

What is the significance of Gate and Court?

Gates are a barrier to check/control entry.

It can be for good or for bad.

Some people pass through the gate of hell and destruction, others pass through the gates to their blessing.

Whatever gate you are passing through now, God has promised you victory.

Psa 107:16: "For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder."

So, praise God for the victory he gave you in whatever gate that you are in.

Every gate of hell/ failure / sadness / stumbling / limitations are lifted in Jesus name

The Psalmist says enter his courts with Praise.

Court is a place of judgement.

Court can be a place of victory or damnation.

What has brought you to the court of heaven to bring you damnation?

The Bible says: Satan is the accuser of the brethren. He brings us before the court of heaven (Rev 12:10).

It could be shame, joblessness, lack, failure, difficulty, challenge, confusion, etc

Don’t panic!

God is the judge.

And you have a lawyer… Jesus. He is your advocate – He defends us in the court of heaven to give us victory

1Jn 2:1  My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:  And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Whatever gate that is before you or the court that you are in, give thanks to God because He has given you victory through Jesus.

Therefore, praise your way through the gates and courts as you go into the weekend.

Praying Against the Spirit of Balaak

Numbers 23: Spirit of Balak and Balam works through reporting and recording spirits.

Those who backbite and gossip about you:   In your place of work Neighbourhood, etc

Those that report you to the system, authority, etc in order to subvert your work, plan, or purpose of God in your life.

To Love Your Neighbor, Love Yourself First

To Love Your Neighbor, Love Yourself First

Gal 5:14 says: “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”

TODAY, I want to stress the importance of loving yourself.

If you don’t love yourself, you will not love others.

- What is it about your neighbor that you must love?

- Who is your neighbor?

Those are questions for another day.

The question NOW is Do you love yourself?

If you don’t love yourself, you cannot love your neighbor!

Because you have to love your neighbor AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF.

- What is the love of self?

- How can you love yourself?

- How can you show love to yourself?

Love of self is not a selfish love or loving self, i.e., the flesh.

It is not giving your flesh ALL it wants all the time.

As a matter of fact it is the opposite…

è It is giving yourself (flesh) what it needs, and not what it wants.

Your flesh is human nature àit wants everything it doesn’t need.

Loving yourself means:

- Conquering your desires

- Being able to know what is good for yourself.

If your child wants a car at age 5, for example…

Loving yourself means:

- Eating what is good and nourishing, not junks

- Doing what is “age appropriate.”

- Dressing respectfully

- Exercising your body to keep moving

- Hydrating your body

- Nourishing your body enough to be healthy

Eph 5:28  So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Eph 5:29  For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

- Physical

- Mental

- Spiritual

- Medical

- Social

- Environmental

Press Forward

Press Forward

Philippians 3:13-14: "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

Dear Lord,

I pour out and release all negativities in my life.

I let go all bitterness, hate, hurts, and resentment.

I refuse to allow them to define who I am. I am strong and graceful.

I attract goodwill, kindness, and love.

I am worthy of your love, and I receive your mercy blessings into my life with gratitude in Jesus’ name.

Benefits of Praising God With Your Whole Heart

Benefits of Praising God With Your Whole Heart

I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence. For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right (Psa 9:1-4)

When we praise God with our WHOLE HEART, we will begin to demonstrate and manifest the works of God in our lives. He will put rejoicing in our heart and we will begin to sing songs of praise to him.

When we get to this point in our lives:

Our enemies will turn back, they shall fall and perish. Enemies are no only people, they could be system, situations, circumstances, or other things. Whatever they are, they will fall and perish when we begin to praise God with our whole heart. The Lord will maintain our right and our cause against the accusations of the enemy. The bible calls Satan the accuser of the brethren, but praising God shuts the mouth of all accusers. Judgements are turned against our enemies while we triumph and walk in victory.

One other thing that happens when we praise God with our whole heart is in 2Cor10:5. The writer talks about bringing down every thoughts, imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God in our lives into obedience of Christ.

This means that whatever negative thoughts or imaginations in the heart of anyone against you, your home, life, family, future etc will be arrested, shut down, and destroyed.

As we head out today and indeed everyday, let us learn to use this weapon of praise to achieve these wonderful miracles in our lives.

Self-Check: The Forgotten Routine of Over-Spiritual Christians

Self-Check: The Forgotten Routine of Over-Spiritual Christians

Many Christians are so blessed and so strong that they believe everything is about how far they can do. But it is hardly so. John in is epistle says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers” (3Jn 1:2).

While acknowledging the blessings of God in our lives as Christians, especially the sound health we have, in what other areas do we need to self-check ourselves and so that we do not abuse the grace of God in our lives?

This message talks about a few ways we can self-check ourselves in other to complementing the blessings of God in our lives. God bless you as you listen.

The Mark of Deliverance

The Mark of Deliverance

Gal 6:17: "From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus."

What does MARK mean?

Mean many things but prominent among them are:

1. Sign of ownership

2. Identification

Example: Tribal marks: makes people to easily identify the tribe someone comes from.

This is powerful in the sense that it douses or removes contention, doubt, and questions.

When Paul says in Gal 6:17  From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus

He means:

- I belong to someone there let no man trouble me

- Let no sickness trouble me

- Let no poverty shame, etc trouble me

As Christians, what is interesting is that, we not only have the mark,

We have been bought with a price

1Cor 6:20  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

It’s like when something is offered in sacrifice to an idol

We are Christ’s.

He bought us with his blood

Let us pray and affirm that in all situation

…I am Christ’s

My home does not belong to

- the world

- sickness

- poverty

- disappointment

- etc

1Cor 7:23 says, “Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.”

Confess that “I am not a servant of men, situation, system, or circumstances.

Victory Through Letting God

Victory Through Letting God

Col 3:3: For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

As we know, our lives as Christians is being dead to self and alive in the spirit.

Our text says we must consider ourselves as:

1. Dead

2. Then our life is hidden

There are some things that are not expected of a dead person

Rom 6:11also says,

“Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

IN GNBV, RECKON means “…to think of yourselves as being dead…”

Think about the things dead people don’t do:

o Anger

o Worry

o Hate

o Unforgiveness

o Bitterness

o Resentment

o Revenge

o Backbiting

o Anger

o etc

It’s time to let go of these things in your life even if it is valid.

There is a valid reason for you to be angry, worry, bitter, hate revenge, etc

But dead people don’t have any valid reason to do anything

Col 3:5: Let go these things:

o sexual immorality,

o indecency,

o lust,

o evil passions, and

o greed (for greed is a form of idolatry).

Col 3:8:

o anger,

o passion, and

o hateful feelings.

o No insults or

o obscene talk must ever come from your lips.

o sexual immorality àSexual Purity

o indecency àDecency in our dress, talk, walk

o lust (thirst) for material things àspiritual things

o evil desires, and

o greed (for greed is a form of idolatry).

o Anger à Patience

o passion, and

o hate à Love

o Insults àRespect

o Obscene talk àGraceful talk

Praise as the Armor of God

Praise as the Armor of God

Eph 6:13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

What is evil days?

Jesus says in Mat 13:25: “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.”

Sleeping time is one of the evil days because we don’t know what’s going on.

That’s why we need to fortify ourselves before we sleep.

We need to fortify ourselves anytime we translate from one state to another:

- From waking up to sleeping

- From working to resting

- From day to night

- From single to married

- From weekdays to weekends

As we translate to weekend today,

Let us fortify ourselves.

Fortify yourself with praise in your lips.

Divine Entrance

Divine Entrance

“For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2Pet 1:11).

The Greek word for Minister there is:

The Greek word for “ministered to” or “ministry” is “Diakonio.”

In our Bible English it means, “Deacon.” But in everyday English, it means “server.”

Server is someone who waits on you in order to provide a service for you. It’s something coming from the outside to you. Just like we have ministers who are suppose to minister to our needs whether in government or in the house.

Most of the time, these minsters are appointed by the authority.

In or text today in 2Pet 1:11, God said “an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly…”

It means that God will raise or authorize people to become a door for you. Hey will “serve” you with an entrance into what you have been waiting on God for.

People who will show you an entrance and path to the plans and purpose of God in your life.

They will lead you into an entrance.

An entrance is a door.

It can be for access or exit.

It means that today, the Lord will give you access to places you desire.

You will access a place of glory you have not been able to hitherto.

You will access opportunities around you just like Hagar in Gen 21:8-21

She was dying in the wilderness, but a well of water was around her, yet she did not see it until God opened her eyes.

“And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink” (Gen 21:19).

She was not only able to access the water of life lived, her son, Ishmael lived, too. She even put some in her bottle.

That is a miracle: from about to die for lack of water to drinking so much and having in abundance.

That is what only God can do, and he is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

If he did it for Hagar who worked against the promise, plan and purpose of God in the life of Abraham, he will do it for you. He is no respecter of persons.

Today, the Lord will open your eyes to see a well of water around you.

You will access good things that are invisible to you.

Hagar “…went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

The Lord will make provisions for you so much that your children will benefit from it.

Pro 13:22  A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

An entrance is also for exit.

The Lord will provide an access for you to exit a difficult whatever difficult and ugly situation in your life.

In 1Cor 10:13, it says the lord will not allow you to e tempted more than what you can bear and even in that, he will “also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

The Lord is providing an exit and escape route for you from any unpleasant situation, relationship, friendship, or circumstances you want out from in the name of Jesus.

The Power of Provocation

The Power of Provocation

Heb 10:24 "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works."

Encouraging One Another: Believers can provoke one another by encouraging each other to continue in good works.

- 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."

- Heb 3:13  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”

Bearing One Another's Burdens: Believers can provoke one another by bearing each other's burdens and helping each other through difficult times.

- Galatians 6:2 says, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

- 1Th 5:14:”Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

- Rom 15:1: “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.”

Celebrating One Another's Successes: Believers can provoke one another by celebrating each other's successes and accomplishments in good works.      Romans 12:15 says, "Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep."

The Power of Praise

The Power of Praise

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here (Act 16:25-28).

When Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God - The prisoners heard them.

Don't be ashamed to praise God in any situation you are. It doesn't matter who hear you or not. Praise move mountains. Paul and Silas' praise brought a local earthquake to the prison and the foundation of the prison was shaken so much that "all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed."

Praise is so powerful it can destroy all evil foundations, rebuild broken foundations, close evil door, open closed doors and release those bound by the the enemy or the world.

The person assigned by the authority to watch over Paul and Silas wanted to kill himself until Paul and Silas cautioned him. Praise can turn your enemy against themselves. Every spirit on assignment against you, every one assigned to ensure you remain in prison or you don't progress will burn against themselves. Their lives will be in your hands. Their lives will be at your mercy in Jesus name.

Practice praise today. Praise belongs to go. God inhabits in the praises of his people and no demon from hell or even Satan can usurp or take what belongs to God. Praise your way out of prison. Break locks, destroy closed doors, upturn prison foundations with your praise. God is waiting for your praise. Remember, praise is the food that God eats.

Gratitude Exercise

Gratitude Exercise

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving Thursday!

What are you thankful for today!

Our Text this morning is Rom 13:7
Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

It's easy to say "thank you" for the good things in life, or for the good people in our lives.

But what about the things we often take for granted? The things we don't even think about or appreciate until they're gone?

Let's start this morning by taking a deep breath and focus on such things.

Something that looks so little, but if it is no longer in your life, your life will be miserable.

What could that be?

Take a moment to think about it.

It may be something or someone.

What is that thing and who is that person?

Maybe someone who has had a positive impact on you.

è A mentor, a friend, or a family member.

è A skill, training, or a priceless possession

Your exercise this morning is:

- Close your eyes and imagine your life without that thing or that person.

- How would it be like to wake up each morning without that thing or that person around you or in your life?

- Take a moment to think about what it will be to lose the thing or the person.

- Take a moment to imagine how your life would have been or where you’d ve been.

è Now, open your eyes and come back to the present moment.

è How do you feel?

This morning, I want you verbalize your gratitude to God about that thing or that person.

Acknowledge it with God this morning and tell God how it is and how you feel about it.

è Now, I want you to reach out to them and thank them for all they've done for you.

è Let them know how much they mean to you, and how grateful you are for their presence in your life.

è Celebrate the person

May God bless you abundantly.

Unlocking a Kingdom Key to a Hidden Reward

Unlocking a Kingdom Key to a Hidden Reward

Our text for today’s morning devotion is in Heb 13:1-3: "Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body."

Few wisdoms to garner from this passage:

- Brotherly love,

- Entertain strangers,

- Remember those in prison,

- Remember those who suffer adversity.

While all these are kingdom keys to a hidden reward from God, but our focus this morning is the phrase: “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers.”

Hospitality is kingdom key used by many in the past to receive hidden reward from God. It is defined as “friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests.”

Showing hospitality to our guests and friends is wonderful but this passage takes it to another level, to show hospitality to “strangers.”

What does this mean?

Feb 23, 202323:37
For the Peace of God's Jerusalem

For the Peace of God's Jerusalem

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good” (Psa 122:6-9)

David encouraged people to pray for his city, the physical Jerusalem.

But as believers today, where is our own city, where is our Jerusalem?

As we know that Old Testament is New Testament concealed, and New Testament is Old Testament revealed. The Old Testament is a shadow of things to come… New Testament. The salvation in Old Testament was the law and the prophets, but in the New Testament it is the holy Spirit. The place of worship in the OT is the Temple, but now we are the temple of God. God dwelt in house made with hands in the OT, but today, he dwells in us. God chose the nation of Israel as his beloved in the OT, but today, we are the ”holy nation” of God and the “peculiar people.”

Today, we are God’s Jerusalem.

John in his revelations says, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God” (Rev 21:1-3).

According to the passage, our own Jerusalem is “coming down from God out of heaven.”

We believers and the body of Christ are, “holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”

Peter wrote in 1Pet 2:9: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light”

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem means praying for the body of Christ, praying for one another.

There is a benefit accrued to this act of obedience: “they shall prosper that love thee.” When we obey the command to pray for the one another, there is prosperity. But that is not the reason we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, God calls Jerusalem, “my brethren and companions' sakes.”

God says, “for the sake of my companion and my brethren,” pray for the peace the body of Christ in whom you are a part, so that you can prosper.

Paul wrote to Timothy: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour” (1Tim 2:1-3).

Only when we obey this command can we prosper and live a good and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” This is what God wants, let us obey.

Let us pray for our brethren in distress. Let’s pray for those devastated with earthquake in Syria and Turkey. Let us pray for elections in Nigeria the most population black nation on earth. Let us pray for other nations God put in our earth. There are “brethren” and “God’s companion there. Let us pray for “Peace be within thy walls, and Prosperity within thy palaces.” Let us “now say, Peace be within thee.” Amen. cryoutreach

Detox Your Mind From These

Detox Your Mind From These

Today, Bible reading is in Colossians 3:8: “But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.”

This passage reminds us to "put off” some things that are toxic in our lives.

To put off means to turn it off. To stop it. To put an end to it. To snuff life out of it.

Another translation says, “get rid of”. Yet another says, “put them away or put them aside.

1Pet 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

These things are toxic to our body system.

If there is anything you need in your body, toxin is not part of it.

As a matter of fact, you need to detox them.

Anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth".

When we let go of negative emotions and thoughts, we make room for God to work in our lives.

How To?

Take a few deep breaths this morning and release any negative feelings we may be holding onto.

Ask God to help you let go of anything that's weighing you down so you can experience His peace and love.

Reflection: How you I respond with kindness and patience in my interactions today?

Journaling question:
What negative emotions do you need to let go of today?

Memory verse: "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful." (Colossians 3:15).

Lord, help me to let go of anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, and filthy communication.
Fill me with your peace and love so I can show kindness and patience to others today. Amen.

Reasons to give thanks

Reasons to give thanks

Let's reflect on all the Lord has done and we would see reasons to give thanks for all his blessings. Today is a perfect day to do just that. It is a time to express our gratitude to God for His love, provisions, protection, and mercies.

Let's take a moment to remember some of the reasons to be thankful to him today, for only the living can give him thanks.

Reasons to be Thankful:

Our relationship with God - We have been saved by grace and have the opportunity to know and love our Lord. Our relationship with people - We are not outcast, separated for health, mental, psychological or reasons from our loved ones. Our family and friends - The people who support us, encourage us, and love us unconditionally. Our health - Good health is a blessing that allows us to live life to the fullest. Our home - A place of comfort, security, and peace. Our work - An opportunity to serve, contribute, and provide for ourselves and our loved ones. And many more...

Only the reasons can praise him and give him thanks.

Let's mutter words of thanksgiving from him as a sacrifice from our lips. We may be thankful from our hearts but let's verbalize it in words. "Life and death is in the power of the tongue" the bible says. Our confession is powerful. Book of Revelations says, "They overcame by the blood of the lamb and the words of their testimony."

Jesus says, "you shall say to this mountain..." He didn't say "you shall imagine" or think about this mountain and it shall be removed. There is power in saying. So, this time, say to the Lord in words and let your ears hear it that you are thankful to the Lord.

The Path to Greatness

The Path to Greatness

Whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant.

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Mat 20:25-28.

Humility is a virtue to get to the top the bible says God looks at the proud afar off but bows down to the humble. Promotion comes from God, not man.

Rulers and leaders are supposed to be chosen by the people based on their service to the people especially in their immediate community. Those appointed into political leadership supposed to be those who grew from down up through grassroot politicking. That is the way to greatness. Those who start from the top would rule and have dominion over the people because they never grew into it from the down up.

The second category of people are those who are great.

While the first set of people exercise dominion, this set exercise authority.

Who are the people Jesus referred to as “those who are great?

These referred to people with positions and financial power. Jesus said this type of people “exercise authority upon their subjects.

Jesus said this type of people “exercise authority" upon their subjects.

Finding Peace

Finding Peace

Finding Peace is not a function of money or things.

Many have these things but are still looking for peace albeit in all the wrong places.

True peace is inner peace. People don't know where to get this peace despite all the possess.

Some truly have peace in the world but do not have peace with God. What sense is in having peace for 100 years on earth and not having peace for eternity? All the things that gives us peace now will one day go and we will be left with chaos. Peace with God is the ultimate as it not only gives us peace here on earth but also in the after life.

The best peace we can have is having peace with God and that can only happen through Jesus.

Jesus said, "My peace I leave with you not as the world gives." (Joh 14:27).

True peace is the peace that transcends your own understanding and the understanding of any man or anything.

Finding peace is not being afraid of tomorrow. It is not not being afraid of death and afterlife.

However, Paul tells us in the book of Romans two ways we can have this peace.

"Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God" (Rom 5:1)

1.  Through Justification. This is through what Jesus did for us on the cross. We are pronounced "not guilty" because He took our place and died for the sins He did not commit. We are now justified by the faith we have in that finished works of Christ on Calvary. We can rejoice in that and that will bring peace into our hearts. Not only peace in the world, but also peace with God. We can live the rest of our lives in peace knowing that we are not condemned. He does not condemn us but rather just justified us (Rom 8:1). Even when we commit sin, we have peace that if we confess our sins, "... he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1Jn 1:9).

2. Hope of eternity. Many don't know where they are going when they die. But because we have been justified here on earth, we will be glorified in heaven. That brings peace into out hearts knowing that we know where we are going when we die. Isn't that simply peaceful! That's why the Bible calls it a hope of eternity. Paul says in 2Cor 5:1: "For we know that if the earthly house of our tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens" This means even if we pass through difficult time here on earth, finding peace on earth and our hope of eternity should keep us alive.

Little wonder 1Cor 15:19 says, "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable." Our hope is in heaven, therefore our affection should be there.

In the last line of verse two of our text, Paul asked us to rejoice in the hope of this glory.

Our finding peace is because of these tow things Paul highlighted

- Because we are justified through Jesus's works on Calvary, we have peace on earth and

- Because we have a hope of eternity when we die through Jesus' works in heaven to prepare a place for us.

Start rejoicing. Start to confess peace. Confess peace in your life, home, family, and so on. Confess peace over your children regardless of what the enemy is doing. Confess peace over your marriage despite the tide. He has given you peace on earth and peace after you die.

Rejoice, again, I say, rejoice. Always! Shalom!

The Stone, the Seal, and the Soldiers

The Stone, the Seal, and the Soldiers

“And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre” (Luke24:2).

The stone is rolled away, the seal is broken, the soldiers are scattered.

Sometimes we are in such a situation that looks like we're dead and buried. Jesus was there once. He was actually killed and buried in a tomb with a big stone and seal over the entrance, and several soldiers deployed to make sure he did not resurrect as he predicted, but he resurrected anyway despite all the obstacles.

The tomb was a secured underground place not easily accessible. It was air-tight and cordoned off to ward off anyone without a need and animals. But the very early of the third day that Jesus was buried, the disciples came to the tomb to prepare the body for eternal journey home.  They were wondered who was going to roll the stone away but to their amazement, they encountered a few miracles:

1. The stone was rolled away already, and the tomb was empty.

2. They saw angels who asked them why they were looking for the living among the dead, and that Jesus was no longer in the tomb but had resurrected as he prophesied.

I don't know how secure your prison is. I don't know the power or force that has put you in the tomb to rot and be forgotten, but one thing I know is there is a greater power that can roll away the stone, break the seal, and scatter the soldiers assigned to keep you in the tomb.

Maybe you are buried in debt, sickness, shame, rejection, or failure. Jesus went through worst, and he triumphed. Because he did, you can, too.

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive today! It is called, “The resurrection power.” If anything is dead at all, it is the ugly situation and circumstances in your life, not you. Stop looking for the living among the dead. Stop seeing those things as living. They are dead and you live.

If God could bring a life back from the dead, he can bring you back no matter how dead you are or how long you’ve been in the tomb. Look at your situation in the face and tell them that the finger that rolled away the stone that that was used to make sure Jesus did not resurrect and yet he resurrected anyway is working in me right now.

Whatever power, authority, or system that is trying to keep you in prison has encountered a superior authority that is changing things right now.

· Every Stone that has been rolled to cover the entrance to your miracle is rolled away in Jesus’ name.

· Every seal that has been carefully and deliberately put on the entrance to God's miracle in your life is broken in Jesus’ name.

· Every soldier that has been assigned to make sure you do not rise from the tomb are scattered in the name of Jesus.

This is your confession from now on: The stone is rolled away, the seal is broken, the soldiers are scattered.

Confess it and you will possess it, in Jesus’ name.

The Virtuous Woman Part 1 - Adornment

The Virtuous Woman Part 1 - Adornment

The Virtuous Woman is a woman with inner adorning ...Here is a quick 2-point Adorning Check for a virtuous woman.
The book of Proverbs talks about the characteristics of a virtuous woman:
1. “A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband…” (Pro 12:4).
2. “…Her price is far above rubies” (Pro 31:10).
Peter talks about another distinct characteristic that makes this woman a “virtuous woman”
3. She is in submission to her own husband.
How can we know a virtuous woman?
Virtuous women are not born virtuous, they are made through godly character and behavior to their own husbands and home.
According to 1Peter chapter 3, there are three main ways to recognize a virtuous woman.
Here is the first one:
Although, different cultures have different standards on adornment for a woman.

But the Bible reveals two types of adornment in 1Pet 3:3-4:

The Outward Adorning and
The Inner Adorning

Vs 3: “Whose adorning let it not bethat outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel.”

The Outward Adorning is:

Plaiting the hair
Wearing of gold
Putting on of apparel

The verse begins with, “…LET IT NOT BE…”.

Which means, this type of adorning (outward adorning) does not make a woman virtuous.

The second type of adorning is in Vs 4:“But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.”

The Inner Adorning is:

Hidden man of the heart
Not corruptible
The ornament of a meek and quiet spirit

The verse begins with, “LET IT BE…” i.e. Let it be the adorning a woman embraces. This is because they make “a great price in the sight of God.”
So, in a nutshell:
- Outward Adorning - LET IT NOT BE the adorning for a virtuous woman
- Inner Adorning - LET IT BE the adorning for a virtuous woman
Here is a quick 2-point Adorning Check for a Virtuous Woman.
1. A gorgeous hair style, jewelries, make up, cloths, and other adorning and ornaments
2. A humble, gentle, quiet, character and behavior to your own husband.
The first has great praise, honor, and approval by the world, the other has a great price before God.
Great hair do, attractive make up, jewelries, fancy clothes and other material things are good for adorning, but are too fleeting, temporal, deceptive, and corruptible to make a woman virtuous, let alone a godly woman.
Paul in 2Cor 4:18 says, "For the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."

A Virtuous Woman is a woman with inner adorning of a humble, gentle, and quiet character and behavior. She is a crown to her husband. "For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands" (1Pet 3:5).

The Winning Wife

The Winning Wife

Every woman has intrinsic weapon she is naturally created with. This weapon makes her the most powerful being ever created by God.
However, it has being made dormant by the only person who knows and fears the tremendous power a woman possesses, Satan through deception. Peter in his epistle highlights this super weapon, calling it the tool of the winning wife, and if discovered and deployed by any woman, would bring constant victory, and makes her the winning wife to her home and husband always.
This is an edited version of an online Zoom Message about family and home. It's splitted into two parts and part two talks about men, the secret power of men to answered prayers.

The Abnormality of a Normal Christian

The Abnormality of a Normal Christian

The hyper Pente-rascal movement today has brought in mega churches and mega problems. one of it i that it has deregulated the Christian faith walk so much so that the born again title is now a million for a penny.

This movement thrives through display of emotions, excited utterances, spiritual ecstasy and demonstration of feelings. The services are with social appeal with an eclectic orgy of soul music. The pastor is a motivational speaker not really a Gospel preacher. He must heat up the atmosphere with some gyrations and orations to charge people’s emotion for spurious healings and miracles, which are a mere placebo. But this is what some people think Christianity is and have thus accepted as normal what is really abnormal.

How did the church fall into this system, religion, and denomination doctrine? It is clear that God did not give us religion, including Christian religion: He gave us a Person, Christ Jesus. Christian must reject the new normal as religious knowledge is always a deterrent to spiritual revelation.

HOW NOT TO PRAY: Unlearning the Prayer of the Hypocrites (Take heed Series)

HOW NOT TO PRAY: Unlearning the Prayer of the Hypocrites (Take heed Series)

In the teaching of Jesus in Matthew Chapter 6, He taught that three things must be done ins secret:
1. Almsgiving
2. Prayer
3. Fasting
These three things are referred to by the Jews as "Personal Religion."
Aside from the fact that these acts must be done "in secret," they have reward from "your Father in heaven."
However, these three things are under attack by Satan. His tool is the Pentecostal Movement. He found the leaders to be a handy tool in his hand to bastardize, corrupt and destroy these things so as to rob believers of the reward from the father in heaven That is why Jesus warned us to TAKE HEED HOW we do these things, so that we will not fall victim of Satan through his agents many of who parades as pastors.
Unfortunately, many believers do these three things wrongly:
- We give alms to the wrong people (mostly the leaders rather than the poor and the needy)
- We pray as "hypocrites and heathens" without even knowing. This is sometimes to satisfy the Penterascal leaders who ignorantly or selfishly co-opt their members into wrong prayer style, just to keep them coming and keep giving).
- We fast wrongly
Satan seems to be winning using these greedy Penterascals. He has in turn rewarded and blessed them with mammon along with fame, power, and lack of conscience and compassion. They impoverish, bleed and fleece the people in order to maintain their ostentatious and lavish lifestyle. Paul call them "enemies of the cross of Christ." They get people busy with various programs and various prayer meetings assuring the people of God's blessings and protecting, whereas they themselves use police protecting and do business to make money.
Despite that Almsgiving was cardinal to the early Christians, even from the Old Testament, it has totally disappeared completely from the pulpit today no thanks to these Penterascals who have turned all givings to themselves leaving the givers poor and the poor poorer.
Many of these cold-heated leaders only use prayer as a tool to keep people busy with God while they reap the blessing of keeping them praying, albeit, wrongly. They have turned many believers to the hypocrites and heathen Jesus warned us not to be in prayer like.
It's time to unlearn many things taught by these leaders with the sole strategy to make money and enrich themselves.
If the disicples of Jesus asked Jesus to teach them how to pray after seeing Jesus praying, even though some of them have been praying before Jesus was born, it means that prayer is a science and a art that has to be learned. It means there is an "HOW TO PRAY" and there is an "HOW NOT PRAY."
It's time to learn the right way to pray.

ALMSGIVING: A Forgotten Church Tradition - Part 2 (Take Heed Series)

Almsgiving was not only a doctrine preached by Jesus and upheld by the Apostles, it was one of the fundamental traditions of the early church.
However, Almsgiving has sadly disappeared from the pulpit today, no thanks to Pentecostal movement leaders.
Possessed by the spirits of greed, materialism, and mammon, these Pente-rascals have changed the God-ordained practice from giving to the poor to giving to themselves.
This message is about BREAKING THE SPELL OF PENTE-RASCALISM on believers and to remind believers of the warning of Jesus to TAKE HEED HOW, and not “IF” you give alms.
Jesus said there is a “reward” for this practice from “your heavenly Father” if you give correctly, to the right people, and at the right time.
It's time believers returned to Almsgiving as a fundamental Christian doctrine. You will learn who you should give alms to and when.
This is Part 2 of the TAKE SERIES which seek to highlight the DIRECT WARNINGS OF JESUS.

The Danger of Vain Repetition in Prayer

The Danger of Vain Repetition in Prayer

In Matthew 6:5, Jesus warned believers to Take Heed how they pray. He warned that we should not pray as hypocrites who use vain repetitions, "for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.”

What does vain repetition in prayer mean?  Who are these people who think God would hear them because of their much speaking and  What does that even mean?

Are there still Apostles Today?

Are there still Apostles Today?

Are There Still Apostles Today is part of the Removing the Veil series.

It is a quick look into the doctrine that:

1. Only the 12 disciples are qualified to be called Apostles, and

2. After the disciples died, the office of the Apostles ceased.

Essentially, there are no Apostles today.

Removing the Veil on the Origin of The Word, Church

Removing the Veil on the Origin of The Word, Church

Removing the Veil on the Origin of the word, Church: A spiritual journey on the Biblical and Historical past of the church.

Did Jesus say, "I will build my KURIAKON" (Church)" or "I will build my EKKLESIA" (ASSEMBLY)?

Kuriakon is a Greek name for the house of a pagan goddess known as Circe.

In German, it is called "Kirche," Cherche in Scottish, and Churche in old English, and now Church. Church (was and is) a BUILDING people GO to worship. Hence, the term, GO TO CHURCH. We do not go to church in Ekklesia because we are the Assembly and we express the assembly when we gather.

The practice, leadership, style, festival, worship, clergy, service, etc, of the church today is sharp and direct contrast to the Ekklesia founded by Jesus and practiced by the early Assembly.

The criminal substitution (not translation) of the Greek word, Ekklesia to Church (rather than (Assembly) is deliberate and against the law of language and translation.

Removing the Veil on the Origin of the word, Church sheds more light on this and also answers the question of how, when, why, and who substituted Ekklesia with Kuriakon.

The powerful priests of Circe (and other pagan religions) who were forced to become Christians by the Emperor's decree criminally took over the Assembly in about 320AD. They massacred the early Christians, burned their scrolls (inserting many of their pagan doctrines in the bible in the name of translating it - and are sadly with us today).

They fed many believers who resisted them to wild animals in stadia and persecuted others to death for many centuries following. They successfully took over the true Assembly and continued their pagan worship of church, leading to the dark ages where only them was known as the church. Many whistle-blowers who revolted were labelled "heretics" and were burned alive.

Believers in the early Assembly who escaped the persecution hid their scrolls and manuscripts in caves as they fled. Some of the original manuscripts discovered thousands of years later have been found to be in sharp contrast to the early Assembly's beliefs and doctrines but have been banned by the same people who exist today as the Church. Now they have many offsprings of various denominations. Many of them are ignorant of their past and sadly practise the same pagan worship as Church in the name of Jesus.

Removing the Veil on the Origin of the word, Church is to help you as a believer know that you have the right to know if you are serving Jesus who promised to build His Assembly (Ekklesia) in Mat 16:18 or ignorantly serving the god of Church that the pagan priest forced on the world in the name of Jesus.

The word "Church" is not in the Bible.

The word "Church" is not in the Bible.

Little did many know or realize that the word “Church” is not in the Bible, the original Bible.

In the popular word of Jesus, "I will build my church," the word translated as "Church" is "Ekklesia" in the original Greek manuscript. The correct translation is "THE ASSEMBLY." Many think that it really doesn't matter (Church or Assembly) but it does when you consider the fact that Church existed during the time Jesus made this statement. He clearly chose the word Ekklesia (Assembly) over the Greek word, Kuriakon (Church).

According to the Oxford Dictionary, the origin of the word “Church” is from Old English cir(i)ce, cyr(i)ce, related to Dutch Kerk and German Kirche, based on medieval Greek Kurikon, from Greek Kuriakon (dōma) ‘Lord’s (house)’, from kurios ‘master or lord’.

It was called:

Kirk in Scotland,  Cherche in Old English.

The pronunciation metamorphosed to chereche, chiriche, chirche in the middle English. Then “Churche,” and “Church” in modern English as we know it today.

There are stack differences between the Church and the Assembly:

People GO TO CHURCH But Believer's don't GO TO CHURCH because they are the "Church."  The Church is governed by Titled Priests, the Assembly is led by Elders without titles but functions The style of meeting for Church is Clergy-Laity but the Assembly meets by Koinonia (Fellowship) - participation by all.  The Church meet in buildings which is considered the "house of God, the Assembly meet in houses. The church celebrates many pagan festivals like Christmas, Easter, and so on, The Assembly does not.

When all other religions were forced to convert to Christian religion by Emperor Constantine, the powerful priests came into the assembly and continued their pagan practices as Christians without being born again or converted. When the leaders of the True Assembly objected to this, they unleashed terror on them. They persecuted and killed many while others fled. They then took control of the Assembly appropriating titles to themselves as they fit. They labelled those who opposed them as heretics, burned the Bibles, fed many to wild animals, changed meetings from houses to civic buildings and changed the style of meeting from Fellowship to Clergy-Laity system where no one could talk or participate. Owning a Bible  was punishable by death. This is the time the Bible was tampered with and many pagan doctrines and festivals were introduced into the Bible in the name of translating it. That is the Church we have today. Does the True Assembly still exists?
