Episode 10: Highlights of 60DAC
Thank you for joining us this past July in San Francisco for 60DAC. Here are a few highlights of the of the milestone 60th year.

Episode 9: Meditations on EDA & AI with Kurt Keutzer
Just over a week before DAC, the DAC-Cast hosts return with another episode.. this time with none-other-than Kurt Keutzer. In 1998 Kurt became Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California at Berkeley and recently, Kurt’s research focuses on systems issues associated with the application of Deep Learning to computer vision, speech recognition, natural language processing, and finance. No stranger to DAC or the EDA community, Kurt has published six books, over 250 refereed articles, and is among the most highly cited authors in Hardware and Design Automation. Kurt was elected a Fellow of the IEEE in 1996. At the 50th Design Automation Conference Kurt received a number of awards reflecting achievements over the 50 year history of the conference. These included “Top Ten Cited Author” and “Top Ten Cited Paper.” He was also recognized as among one of only three people to have received four Best Paper Awards in the history of the conference. Kurt's research on Deep Learning has also received Best Paper Awards at the Embedded Vision Workshop and at the International Conference on Parallel Processing.
Listen in as he meditates on EDA & AI...

Episode 8: John Sanguinetti Reaches New Heights & Makes Expensive Mistakes
Part 3: Dr. John Sanguinetti stops by DAC-Cast to share his story and key moments in his career. Dr. Sanguinetti has been active in computer architecture, performance analysis, design verification, and electronic design automation for many years. After working as a design verification engineer at Ardent Computer and NeXT Computer, he founded Chronologic Simulation in 1991 and was the principal architect of VCS, the Verilog Compiled Simulator. He was a co-founder of C2 Design Automation, now Forte Design Systems, where he served as Chief Technical Officer for 15 years. He is a fellow of the ACM and now serves as Chairman at Adapt-IP.

Episode 7: A Tsunami of Technology with Wally Rhines
DAC-Cast hosts are joined by Dr. Walden "Wally" Rhines for this episode leading up to his keynote presentation at #60DAC. Wally is widely recognized as an expert in business value creation and technology for the semiconductor and electronic design automation (EDA) industries. He was CEO of Mentor Graphics (a “Big Three” EDA company with $1.3B+ revenue) for 24 years, has served on the boards of five public companies, managed the semiconductor business of Texas Instruments (TI), and is a spokesperson, writer and highly-sought-after speaker for the high-tech industry. Dr. Rhines currently serves as President and CEO of Cornami, Inc., consults for investors, corporations and the U.S. government on strategic directions, value creation and technology and serves on public and private boards.

Episode 6: Joe Costello Enters EDA To Be Nice
The DAC-Cast hosts are back and this time with industry visionary, Joe Costello. Joe served as CEO within the EDA (electronic design automation) space, where he helped teams create leading technology in the industry. From early in his career, Joe was attracted to solving problems within technology and making internet more accessible. In 2004, Joe received the Phil Kaufman Award, for his service to the EDA industry. Hear his story with this episode.
