If reviewers give good reviews for inexpensive stuff and even better reviews for more expensive stuff because it is more pricey, is that doing the viewers justice. Fred talks about Magic Beans and his take on the results.

Do you collect DVD/Blu-Ray/4K Blu-ray? Do you have a wall of discs? Joe doesn't like physical media! Target had a big sale on Monolith speakers! Arendal in house at Joe's place! Spatial Audio Calibration Toolkit (SACT) comes to the rescue! AV10 wasn't outputting a signal to front wides! The SACT disc showed the Dolby Atmos decoder in the AV10 needed a setting changed/reset. REW goes to 5.3, with lots of updates! Room EQ Wizard is a free program for home theater testing, but do send him some money if you get use out of it!

Erin talks car audio and a unique solution to being off center in a car or truck. DSP for Subwoofers, and more specifically would you want it or not and what about dynamic DSP EQ? Return on investment of audio/video gear? How do you look at price and how does that factor into your buying decisions? In the light of psychical media not at Best Buy any more, is streaming going to get better? Let's hope so!!! Channa is going to get the Dragon from Nakamichi after all!

Is Dirac ART the next best thing since sliced bread. Or an over promise of a "improvement" for audio? Is Sony Pictures Core streaming service almost as good as discs? Now that Core is on the PS4 and PS5 are you buying either for playing back 80Mb streaming that core offers? 11.1.6 is a thing! Will it be your thing?

Zone 2 or Zone 3, yah or nah for you? Are you a Kaleidescape or Zidoo type of person? Or are you liking the Discs that you have collected and use those exclusively for movie watching? Erin hasn't had the time to tune his car system but its coming. Joe is getting some Arendal speakers! Like 900+ hundred pounds of them. Erin points out buying the "right" speakers can help with not having to buy acoustic panels!

If you went to a CEDIA show and some how got $100,000 to spend at the show, what would you buy? Ike knows what he wants, but alas little out of his price range. Joe talks about a 144 page CEDIA paper, RP22 speaker placement guideline! YIKES, 144 pages! Ike also is setting up a pair of SVS dual 8 inch in wall subs! Monolith T5 tower on sale for $89!!! Can you say 7 ear level speakers for less than $700?!?

SACT (spatial audio calibration toolkit) was only the beginning, additional things are coming!!! Keep a watch out for those things! Also Magic Beans Audio is announcing True Target!!! Erin tweaked his back again. Erin and Joe talk about Klipsch The Sevens, specifically Erins review! CEDIA is about to ramp up! Anthony Grimani is glad Channa and Joe made the SACT, so he wouldn't have to!!! Channa breaks wind, or at least his PA speaker does!

Shout out to Reverend Slim, for all he does in that discord group. EQ'ng speakers or is it Room Correction? MoFi point source speakers and concentric speakers in general, problem areas. Pro sound speakers disconnect from what we use at home. Do companies care? Spears and Munsil disc? Does one need to recalibrate with new couch or furniture layout?

Erin's measurements for the Behringer's passive $179 PA speaker.

This is a must listen! Anthony talks about the time he made a test DVD disc. Also talks about his time at Dolby! He covers what we can hear vs what we can measure. And also takes the time to talk about the 4 things we can do to make speakers sound better in a room! Anthony goes on to share about why mics are just part of the equation is testing speakers, our ears are the rest of the equation! He also goes on with why off axis is just as important as direct sound from a speaker.

Erin sees if the Triad In Room Gold measure up! Using Audyssey and miniDSP together. Setting phase of subwoofers in main listening position. Wisdom Audio called Joe about the SACT (Spatial Audio Calibration Toolkit) and using it for tests. Anthem ARC or Dirac. 3800H as a preamp. Dynaudio and matching Atmos speakers to them? Magic Beans and the SACT, can they work together? Tim (our video editor) confesses that his subwoofers have not been calibrated yet, that he has had those subs for weeks now. Matching subs in a home theater? miniDSP two channel and two subs?

Upmixing to front wides and native content for front wides. Do you think old or new speakers are the da bomb? Size of resistors that Erin uses for testing are massive, + a giant heatsink! Florida Audio Expo is over with, did Erin find a new speaker that he would want in his home? MWAVE part duet is coming July! Flown floating clouds for acoustic absorption? What headphones for noise cancellation, or mixing, or etc.! Directivity of subs and crossover frequency. What makes movie theater popcorn, movie theater popcorn. And we find out that Joe can press 2 or 3 bags of popcorn, maybe, if he is lucky, in low gravity!!!

Joe is released from NDA and can finally talk Dirac's Active Room Treatment! Joes says it works, but raises a few questions along the way. We learn that Erin still has a McIntosh amp in plastic!
