We know you’d rather be scuba diving, but while you’re out of the water, The Dive Table Podcast is the next best thing.

FULL EPISODE - Underwater Photography Part 2 with Scott Bauer | S2E9

Underwater Photography with Scott Bauer | S2E8
Fellow local (Austin, TX) scuba diver and underwater photographer, Scott Bauer joins Jay to discuss how he arrived at photographing objects underwater and how he learned to love the editing process.
Raising coral, not naming your coral, and learning how to back kick are key elements to become a successful underwater photographer. Okay, only one of those is accurate, but they did all play an important part in Scott's scuba and photography development.

Yeah so, here's the thing...
My stepfather always used to tell me, "There's two things in this world; Excuses and Results." Yep. And here are some excuses as to why there aren't any results.

‘How to Build Relationships Through Scuba Diving’ with Jack Der | S2E5
Jack Der of DUI is our guest co-host for our 5th episode of the season. Jay and Jack discuss the traditional and not so traditional ways any type of relationship can blossom through scuba diving. Through the "everyday" diving that you might partake in at your local watering hole, to the familiar faces you might see on a charter boat thousands of miles away from your home. While there might be some 3 to 4 million scuba divers in the country, it can feel quite a bit smaller when you see the same friendly (and not so friendly) faces.

‘Is Scuba Diving Special?’ - A Love Letter | S2E1
We're glad to finally get back into it and spread the Gospel of Scuba! If you caught episode 0, you'll remember that we announced that Nick has left the show to seek his fortune in Far East, Malaysia. He will be missed and we wish him the best, but the show must go on...
This season we decided to change things up a little bit. We are going to bring in special guest co-hosts for 3 episodes each to assist Jay in sharing the word of Scuba.
Our guest co-host for the first three episodes will be Sarah Miller of Azul Unlimited. You should remember her from last year as she was a popular guest on the show. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and those facts are proven in this first episode.
In this episode, much like in last year's inaugural episode, the question that was brought to the table was, "Is scuba diving special?” Jay and Sarah tackle that same question and bring to light some interesting figures about the demography of the scuba diving landscape and what their different perspectives are regarding scuba diving.
Thanks for listening, subscribing and sharing!

Nick moved to Malaysia and deserted us all! Kidding! He's doing fine and we wish him the best. He was ready to move on and start his own thing and we hope to have content from him soon. Maybe we'll hear from him on here at some point...
In the second season inaugural episode, Jay and I discuss what this season holds for The Dive Table and what you can expect as a listener. We were under the gun on which direction to go and with only a single host. In the end, what we decided was a breakthrough in podcast planning and SEO genius.
Pffft, yeah right. Listen in and we'll share with you what we decided.
We're glad to be back and we hope you're glad to have us back. It's been a long enough break and we're ready to get back to work and back to scuba diving!

End of Season 1 Thank You!
Just taking a couple minutes (literally) to thank everyone that has been involved with the show, in one way or another.

Humans of Scuba (HoS) Andy Davis
In our second episode of The Dive Table's, 'Humans of Scuba,' Nick takes on the task of sitting down with sidemount wreck technical diving specialist, Andy Davis. Nick took a trip to the Philippines last month and decided to take a skills clinic with Andy to determine what it is he needed to work on before going back next May to take 'Advanced Wreck' with Andy. The guys sat down at 'Hops N' Brews' for a couple of beers and 90 minutes later, voila!, a new episode pops out.

Some of them are preventable, and some of them, Dun dun dunnnnnn.....are not! No amount of preparation can prevent some of these "horrific" moments from happening...but most of them you can.

The Scuba Scuttlebuzz for October '22 S1E33

Nick speaks on his Malaysia exploits.

#32 What Are Your Top 5 Essential Scuba Tools?
We always recommend that a certified technician work on your most sensitive gear, but setting up your garage or 'Suba Cave' in a way that allows you to service your own gear (when appropriate) can really open up your eyes to what it takes to maintain scuba equipment, not to mention helping to keep your gear in an organized fashion. Becoming a certified technician for your own gear is certainly a win-win. You can also then invite dive buddy's to bring their same brand gear over which helps you to stay fresh and maybe even make a little side cash.
You might be surprised to hear what the guys have to say about which 5 pieces of equipment they would like to have in their shop, or you're a long-time scuba gearhead and recognize which pieces make everything that much easier.
