Why I'm So Honest
People who know me know that I have lots of thoughts and opinions and I'm not afraid to share them. I've been reflecting on why that is and in this episode, I share my theory and a few cringeworthy anecdotes.

Why You Should Stop Cancelling White People
Originally published in July of 2020, I make an argument as to why white people should stop cancelling other white people, specifically when it comes to ignorance or downright hostility towards the Black Lives Matter Movement. I make this argument as a biracial individual - half white and half Black.

I'm A Bad Advisor
I used to fire off some pretty sassy emails. My go-to was "see my previous email". Yea, we all know that one. Well, not too long ago, this metaphorical middle finger, came back to bite me...

How To Trick Your Brain Into Being More Productive
Aaah, productivity! The hallmark of western civilization. A trait we measure success by. An attribute we tie our self-worth to. If you’ve read other posts of mine, you’ll know my thoughts on the p-word. Nevertheless, I know that productivity will continue to be a measure of success. So here are my tips on how to be more “productive” – i.e. how to do what you can without burning yourself out and without feeling guilty for taking breaks.

Letting Go of the Need to Control
Do you often find yourself thinking “If only they paid more attention like me” or “If you want it done right, you got to do it yourself” to “I don’t get paid enough to pick up the slack” and so on? If so, perhaps you're suffering from the need to control. I, too, suffer from this syndrome but I'm learning to let go.

My 1st Paid Consulting Gig: Here’s How it Went
In January, I published a post detailing my process for creating my vision for 2021. Shortly thereafter, a woman reached out to me to ask if I could create a presentation based on this post to help her and the exec board of a non-profit create a vision for the future of their organization. I didn’t think much of it at first – we set up a meeting to discuss the details of what she was looking for and I put it out of my mind. But then sh*t got real!

What Is Standing In Your Way Right Now?
Something or someone external? A physical obstacle? You? Your mindset? Answer honestly. For me, it’s expectations. Expectations bred from the over-consumption of television and YA novels. Expectations put in place by society and groupthink. Expectations imagined by my own naive mind.
