Darrin Miller: Calling All Christians

Following up from last week's message, Darrin completes his exposition of the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6 to give us a great insight into how God expects us not only to pray for our own needs, but for the needs and protection of others.

As we continue to explore the reality of prayer as worship, we move into the "Lord's Prayer" in Matthew chapter 6.
What is to some a forgotten ritual, and to others a religious mantra, is actually a powerful representation of God's desire for our prayer life.
When given proper consideration, it may very well reshape your view of prayer all together.

In today's message Darrin shares from Communion Christian Fellowship, a new church plant of Faithful Fishers in Live Oak, Texas. In this message Darrin leads us through Matthew 6:5-7 and James 1:1-10 to show us how God expects us to posture our hearts when we pray and how prayer is the first and primary act of worship. How can we make this year the year we draw closer to the Lord than ever before? Darrin gives us a few ideas about drawing near to the Lord.

Why does God send good people to hell for not believing in Jesus?

This question begs an answer from all people, but it also exposes some critical truths about God and about mankind that we may have overlooked.

Faith is essential for us to know the Lord and to grow in our relationship with Him. However, there is both our saving faith, and the choice to believe that we have to make everyday in the face of various trials, temptations, and fears. Today, Darrin encourages us to believe in the Lord regardless of the circumstances and to ask ourselves who we are really trusting in.

In Acts chapter 4, Peter and John have begun to proclaim Christ in Jerusalem and over 5000 people have been saved! But, their success come with trials and tribulations. Today, Darrin is going to pull three principles for their lives to help us stay on mission in the midst of our own distractions, as well as the trials that come from the world.

We are suppose to be a light in the darkness. But, turn a bright light on in the midst of a dark area and you're gonna attract a lot of attention. How we steward that attention is a great source of temptation, but a wonderful source of gospel opportunity.

What if Jesus RADICALLY changed peoples lives? What... He's suppose to isn't He?
In Acts 2 we see the birth of the church, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, but we also see that believers were given brand new lives and culture to live in the Kingdom of God that has come upon us. Join Darrin to find out how the format of Acts 2:41-47 can radically shape our lives and churches.
