Today on the DBfBVH I talk a bit more about some recent news headlines, American gun reform, the importance of creative outlets (like this one!) and feature my cover of Death Cab for Cutie's Your Heart is an Empty Room and The Postal Service's Brand New Colony.

Today we continue our conversation from our previous episode, honing in on the conversation surrounding allowing transgender persons to play sports. Featuring our new cover of Death Cab for Cutie's "Underneath the Sycamore" and from our Canada Post files, "We Will Become Silhouettes" (The Postal Service).

In this weeks episode we talk about the recent Bud Light controversy and begin to touch on the negative implications of the outrage expressed against transgender people.

Briefly touching on calls for change within the music industry that seem to focus primarily on putting more cash in the pockets of intermediate-pro-level performers and why we think that maybe that's missing the scope of the bigger picture plaguing all of our communities, arts-related and otherwise. 

We also premier the latest Canada Post Project - a punk rock cover of The Postal Service's Such Great Heights and today's featured Death Cab For Cutie cover is Wheat Like Waves off the bands latest record Asphalt Meadows.

The Death Bus For Blondie Variety Hour podcast returns with a twist. This is a short one featuring my acoustic cover of 60 & Punk. I talk a little bit about why I decided to perform this song in this way, if I'll ever do a full-band version of it, and that time I saw Van Morrison in concert and he walked off stage, confusing the heck out of me.
